Gabriel opened his eyes after a few minutes. "There's a boulder
about the size of an echidna skull is in Sonic's path," he said
quietly to Madness.

Just a few meters from the boulder, an odd curled quaff stuck
out from the soil. The whirlwind was enough to agitated it,
causing it twitched twice before the ground around it began to
rumble; the soil and dirt began to split as something rose from
the deep bowels of the planet. It was only a few seconds before
the thing was fully emerged from the ground, where it turned out
to be the ghostly Seedrian Aria.
She yawned - quite loudly - as she rubbed her only visible eye.
Detecting various lifeforms near her, she turned, seeing the
group of Mobians gathered and discussing something she really
didn't care about. She tilted her head, silently floating above
the group and peered down at them.
"[shadow=red,left]Well...can't say this was what I was expecting
after waking up from a nap,[/shadow]" she murmured
telepathically.

Madness was looking around but he couldn't get a proper sighting
on who it was that Sonic was trying to get a sighting on himself
until the phoenix appeared, his eyes may not have been as fast
as Sonic's, but he was still extremely fast and spotted the
boulder that his father was about to crash into as Gabriel
pointed it out to him.
[I]"Thanks Gabriel!"[/I]
Madness figured that he couldn't call out in time.
Time to take action!
Madness' own speed was easily able to get him through the
whirlwind that the blue blur had kicked up, he dashed at the
boulder with intent to pick it up and pull it out of Sonic's way
before he tripped over it and suffered a fall, whether he was
fast enough or not to get to it in time was anyone's guess.
Whatever the outcome there though Madness put the boulder down
next to one of the trees, his eye catching a black cat pointing
towards him. From a distance he couldn't get a look at her, so
he dashed over to her skidding to a halt next to the cat. [I]"Hi
there."[/I] he said with a smile. [I]"I couldn't help but notice
that you seemed to have your focus on me, how can I help?"[/I]
he asked her.
Getting a proper look at her his jaw nearly dropped.
[I]"Wow!"[/I] he thought to himself. [I]"She's beautiful!"[/I]
he didn't say it loud though, but would you say that to someone
you'd only just met?

He crosses his arms and swaya tail. "They sound like a
troublsome bunch..going from planet to planet and devouring
everything in your path..makes me sick to my stomach" he stated
with his eyes narrowing.

The cat's face went completely red, and in attempt to hide her
face she would fail miserably."I-I'm...C-Charolette...Y-You
are..?" The cat started thinking on how cute he was to her, even
though they only just met it felt like her heart was throbbing
like she had a major crush on him or something.The cat then had
the courage to lock eyes with him, but felt her face starting to
burn."W-What's wrong with me?!"The cat thought to herself,
gripping her scythe tightly."I-I'm not supposed to feel..."

Madness had a ^^ face as he held out a hand to her for her
shake. [I]"It's really nice to meet you Charolette, the name's
Madness, Madness the Hedgefox."[/I] of course him noticing her
going extremely red was inevitable and upon him noticing it his
head tilted slightly looking concerned. [I]"Hey, are you okay
Charo? You seem to be burning up."[/I] he'd already given her a
nickname? That'd be Madness. He looked worried at this point. It
may become somewhat obvious that Madness is generally
romantically oblivious, especially to Charo who seemed to be
falling for him. His mind was rushing over how would be a good
way to cool her down at this point.

here..!"The cat fanned herself, once again thinking to

such a liar.."The cat gave a nervous smile, her ears turning red
along with herself.

She wasn't wrong, he did indeed get quite a bit worried from it.
But his solution was a slight bit naive.
[I]"You know something? My mother always used to tell me, that a
good way to kill a fever, is with something really cold. And you
know what comes to my mind in terms of cold things? Ice cream.
Besides, it's always nice to treat a friend. What do you say we
go and get some ice cream?"[/I] What were the odds of Lightanis
completely cringing at his suggestion? Madness held out a hand
to her again. Had he completely forgotten about his mission with
the sanctuary? Yes. Was he falling for her like she was falling
for him? Yes. Was he concerned that he would completely miss out
on any updates to the situations surrounding the sanctuary? No.
His father was around as well as a few phoenixes, he could ask
them about new developments later.

"S-Sure..!"The reaper smiled, it's been a long while since she
had but she did. After those words the cat happily took his
hand, but proceeded to hug his arm.
