Toddler Trouble

"Perfect, I've finally done it! Oh man, wait till the others see
this baby!" Robin announced proudly, as he held the device he'd
just 'perfected' up high with a smile, only to then have his
device snatched right out of his grip by a streak of blue. His
ears flattened, he knew just who this was, "Sapphire. Give it
back, it isn't to play with its very fragile at the moment".
Sapphire didn't give it back, she instead inspected it, running
her fingers along the surface of this new invention, "What even
is it?" Robin made a snatch for it but missed as Sapphire jerked
it away, "You'll find out when I show it to everyone, now hand
it back" THIS time, he managed to grab it, but Sapphire kept her
hold on it as well.
They both pulled and tugged on the device, digging their feet
into the ground, "Sapphire! Let it go, you're going to break
it!" "Me?! You're going to break it! You can let go too yanno! I
just want to see what it is!" "I already said you'd find out
with the others when I'm ready to show it! Give it ba-" There
was a loud CRACK and the two stopped and both dropped the device
at the same time, looking at each other as it hit the ground and
broke into two, "Now look what you've done!" "Don't blame me!
This was half YOUR fault!" The two's argument would end shortly
though as the device let out a loud BANG and a bright light
flooded the room, two bright purple sparks shot out from the
device and hit both Robin and Sapphire, and for the two,
everything went dark.
It would take only a few minutes later for the two to reawaken,
both stirred first before picking themselves up off of the
ground, Robin noticed, Sapphire had changed. A LOT.
She'd shrunk for one thing, her clothes lay on the floor next to
her, too big to fit her now, he pointed at her and laughed
before cupping his hands over his mouth.
That wasn't HIS laugh, surely? His laugh was deeper then that.
He sounded like a little kid, Sapphire laughed back, sounding
like a little kid herself. Robin noticed everything did look
bigger then usual... And his boots and bel- Ahhh he was naked!
He put his hands between his legs and dived for the mirror,
peering into it he gasped.
He and Sapphire had both been taken back a few years, ten or so
at least, he shook his head, stumbling backwards and falling
over after tripping on his boots. But... But...
"WAAAAAAAHHHHHhhhh!" Robin curled his hands into fists and held
them near his eyes as he began to cry, he couldn't give Fem
roses and kisses... Like THIS!
Sapphire crawled over and just rolled down next to him, sucking
on her thumb.
How could the two possibly change back or even look after
themselves... Like this?

Luckily, Robin wouldn't have to look far to find someone to help
take care of them. The mere sound of crying was more than enough
to catch Natasha's attention; those big ears of hers heard
everything. Peeking around a corner, her eyes quickly found the
two 'toddlers' among their now over-sized clothes. She could
only blink and stare as she stood in the doorway, completely
lost in confusion. "I was not ready for today," she mumbled as
she walked up to the two and sat down beside them. "So... You
two are babies for some reason... But does that mean you think
like babies..." She sighed and tried racking her brain for ideas
of what to do, how to proceed. "Well... If you can understand
what I'm saying... Tug on my pinkie finger, okay?" Her hands
were in her lap. so that would be pretty easy, right?

Robin stopped crying the moment Natasha appeared and put on a
smile instead, grabbing his now small paw feet and rocking
himself backwards and forwards on the spot.
Sapphire sat herself up too and lightly chewed on her left hand
looking up at Natasha as the cat sat down beside them "Ah?"
Sapphire of course could only make toddler/baby noises and
couldn't speak back to Natasha, as much as she wanted to.
Robin got up wobbly on his two now short legs, holding his arms
out fir balance before he then held his arms out in front if him
and ran over to Natasha, he stared up at her for a few moments
before grabbing one of her pinkie fingers, he did understand
her!
Sapphire tried to copy Robin, getting up and runn- oops, she
fell over. The small blue hedgehog made a hiccup noise before
tears sprung up in her eyes and like Robin had before, she began
to cry, laying on her stomach on the ground, she put her
forehead against the ground and sobbed into the floor, putting
get arms either side of her face.
Although the two did understand Natsha somewhat now, they only
had a little time of knowing what she was saying left, a way to
bring to two back to their original ages would need to be found
sometime soonish, but for now? The toddler trouble was at large.
But Natasha could handle these two as toddler's... Right?

Natasha was surprised, to say the least. Normally a toddler
would just stare at her if she said anything like that, but
they-or, at least Robin-still understood her. Who knew how long
that would last though, given how undeveloped they were now.
Gently she pulled Sapphire up, hugging her in hopes that maybe
stop crying, and looked back to Robin, hoping for some answers.
"Robin, what caused all of this? Can you point at something?"

Sapphire went silent when Natsha hugged her, closing her eyes
for a brief moment before Natasha would find that the little
Sapphire was gently pulling on the fur on the side of Natasha's
muzzle, feeling Natasha's fur made the toddler smile and then
begin to laugh and kick her feet.
Robin sat down and sucked his thumb for about five seconds
before spitting it out and looking disgusted, not because it
tasted bad either. He got up and plodded over to the two broken
halves of his device that he and Sapphire had smashed in their
squabble, he put his hands on one part of if before pointing at
Sapohire and then himself, "Bbbbbbbbllll" Robin blew a raspberry
in the air at Sapphire, who retaliated, throwing her little
fists into the air angrily, almost hitting Natasha as she made
little sounds of frustration and anger back at Robin.
Where the two, even as toddlers, STILL arguing with each other?
They did soon both stop though as their little tummies rumbled
one after the other, making Robin sit back down and rub his
eyes.

Well, the good news was that Sapphire was happier being held
close. The bad news was, she had no clue what exactly the thing
that Robin pointed at was; all she knew was that it was
something that Robin must have made, and their little 'scuffle'
was the cause for all these troubles. "Oh, why do you to always
have to fight with each other..." Hearing their stomachs rumble
though, she was reminded that there was still another problem;
someone had to take care of these two! Obviously she was going
to need to get diapers, but for the moment, food for them was
the main concern. "Well, looks like until we find someone to fix
that, I'm gonna be taking care of you two little goofballs!"

Sapphire and Robin looked at Natasha when she talked before
looking at each other, Robin must've then said something
offensive in 'toddler' because Sapphire let out a hissing sound,
similar to that of a snake or a cat, and then spat at him,
hitting him on the chest with her saliva, Robin 'eww'd and then
ran over and pulled at her legs and tail, making Sapphire
yell-well 'toddler' scream and kick at him, her feet becoming a
blur as the kicked at the pup. Robin then barked and ran in a
circle on all fours, chasing his tail before falling over.
Sapphire was struggling to get out of Natasha's grip so she
could run over and 'play' or 'fight' with Robin longer.

"Hey hey hey, no fighting!" Natasha wasn't about to let go of
Sapphire, given their history and newfound frailty. Instead she
picked her up and used her coat to keep her at the door so she
couldn't try to go to Robin and fight. Robin, on the other hand
was taken into another room entirely. "Man, I'm really gonna
need some help..."

As soon as the word "help" came up, Natasha was greeted by two
familar faces. " See i told you i heard crying. you can't fool a
ninetails' sense of sound." Veira stated with pride and
confedence. Blaze simply sighed before noticing Natasha and the
two babies. " Heya Natasha. You babysiting or something?" Blaze
asked as he crossed his arm a bit with a tilted head.

Sapphire didn't really like that she was blocked off from
hitting back at Robin by Natasha's coat, she stuck out her lower
lip in a pout, something you'd see plenty of if you knew the
hedgehog enough, after her little pout though she somehow
managed to spawn her piko piko hammer, a much smaller one then
what her usual one was of course, but big enough for her to hold
and hit things with. It was a little bigger then her as her
hammer always was and being a toddler, Sapphire couldn't hold it
up right and ended up swinging it about aimlessly from where she
was placed by Natasha.
Robin meanwhile scrunched up his little pink nose and huffed,
his freckles on both his cheeks where more noticeable while he
was at this age. Robin looked around the new room he'd been
taken to, to seperate him from Sapphire looking for something
that he could fiddle around with to make something different
with.
Sapphire stopped her swinging when Veira and Blaze came into
view and actually dropped her hammer, which left a little dent
in the floor before disappearing. She stared at Blaze, glancing
a few times to Veira, mainly her tails but then looked back to
Blaze again and reached up her arms, making 'grabby' movements
with her fingers like she wanted him to pick her up
"Mmmmbbbbblll" Sapphire stuck out her tongue and blew a
raspberry before bursting into a fit of giggles looking at Veira
and Blaze.
