Anarchy Baby!

A blue hedgehog in a torn leather jacket watches the capitol
city get torn asunder by dark creatures from afar. He had a
wicked smile upon his face as he saw buildings burn. Taking a
deep sniff with his nose he pulled his sunglasses down onto his
eyes. "I just love the smell of napalm in the evening." He
stated as he broke into a jog. "While everybody's distracted
it's the perfect time for a crime spree." Soon the jog turned
into a run and the run turned into an impossibly fast moving
hedgehog. He shattered the sound barrier as he zoomed into the
city. Soon a blue streak zoomed in and out of buildings
collecting as many valuables as he could. The bag he was
carrying got bigger and bigger with each building he exited.
Soon onto his fortieth house Scourge skidded to a stop tossing
his sack off ill gotten items out the window. The glass
shattered as the items landed with a thud. Scourge was rather
pleased with himself easily having garnered a few grand in
stolen items. He leaned against a brick wall and patted down his
jacket as if looking for something. Upon finding his lighter he
tore the end off his cigar and ignited it. He took a deep breath
letting the smoke into his lungs before he exhaled blowing the
fog into the air. The smoke rises as Scourge smiles enjoying the
shattered city. "I'll have to pick this place clean before
moving on. It's almost too easy." He told himself.

Kate hated the city, to put it frankly. Maybe it was because of
all the constant noise pollution, or the actual pollution, or
just how a lot of people become really unfriendly and selfish,
not caring anymore. Either way, it took a lot of effort for Kate
to not take her bag full of precious ancient articles and turn
tail was it not for just one reason: money.
Now, don't get her wrong; money isn't everything. However, the
reddish-orange hedgehog needed it in order to live, considering
how she was living well under the poverty line, according to the
government. Luckily, she isn't really registered...though that
would make her be an illegal immigrant from the Jungle Zone.
(Technically, she's from Mobius, but she did not want to attach
herself to such a place.) So now, as she approached a hill
overlooking the whole city, her eyes widened in surprise to see
the whole city burning up to kingdom come.
Taking immediate action, she ran down the side of the hill with
her whip flung out to her side, ready to help anyone who was
still stuck inside buildings. Once down in the city, she wrapped
a long, thick brown scarf around her whole body to protect
herself from the smoke and flames, partially hiding her identity
in the process. She went from building to building, trying
desperately to hear the cries of citizens underneath the roaring
inferno. As she came near the center of the city, she spotted a
figure leaning against a brick wall, seemingly unaware of the
hellish world around him. She decided to call out to him,
quickly approaching him. "Hey you! You okay there? Let's get 'ya
outta here!"

Scourge raised an eyebrow at the girl wrapped up like a
religious zealot. He inhaled again and this time blew smoke in
her face. Showing again he had little respect for women. "Why
would I do that? The suffering the screaming, not to mention the
free stuff. It's like all my Christmases have come at once. Beat
it babe." He told the orange hedgehog as he flicked his cigar
away over her shoulder.

As soon as she was about to see how he looked like, the man blew
smoke in her face, causing her eyes to tear up and cough up a
storm. After waving that away, she glared at him as she heard
him tell her incriminating things he has done and for her to
beat it as he flicked the cigar over her shoulder. Disgusted by
his attitude and disrespect, she clenched her fists and teeth
together. "Hey! Listen, bucko! I'm not here to listen to you
enjoy whatever it is, chaos? I dunno. I'm here to take everyone
out of the bloody burning city! So start moving your @$$ or I'll
happily do it for you, you bas--"
As the smoked cleared for a moment, she was able to take a
better look at the man's blue quills and bare chest and arms...
"...S-Sonic?!"

Seeing the orange girl break into an outburst Scourge smiled.
"Theres a little fight in you. I like that." Then when she said
that name Scourge snapped. "Nobodies called me that in a long
time. Even then I'm probably not the one you're thinking of."
Scourge picked Kate up by the scruff of her scarf and glared at
her. "Don't compare to me that worthless hero." Before long his
anger lead to his mind forming a cruel joke. "Tell you what. I'm
the type of guy who can steal a girl's heart." Scourge's hand
started vibrating at such high speeds it became a blur. He
reached towards her chest intending to phase his hand into her
body to rip out her heart.

Seeing the man go from zero to one-hundred in a moment, Kate was
immediately on edge and slightly terrified, but definitely
mostly p*ssed off. As soon as he grabbed her and threatened
to...she didn't know, maybe rip her heart out?! ...She whipped
and twirled away out of her scarf to reveal herself completely
and get out of his grasp, her whip unsheathed. She glowered yet
smirked at the same time. "Oh yeah? Well, I make the guys sh*t
their pants!" She came at him, whipping her sharp bone-y whip
tip at his chest.

Scourge threw the scarf away stating. "Well I guess were lucky I
only wear a jacket then." He rushed towards her as the whip
knocked him down. He looked down across his chest at the large
gash wound she had given him. Scourge felt the stinging
sensation around the cut as he got back to his feet. "ARugh...
You B!tch." The blue hedgehog's feet whirl into a storm of blue
as he destroys the sound barrier. Now running faster than the
mobien eye can keep up with he scales a nearby building. He
picks up a large part of the broken building and drops it over
the edge right above Kate. "Shame it had to end like this. What
a waste if you end up as just a pretty stain." He said waiting
for his orange attacker to go splat.
