Ajax frowned as Miana's walls rose in the distance; they were
indeed under siege. It was good that they were still far out
from the city for their own safety, but he was worried for
Natasha. He also wondered about Amberfeather and Tamwyn; where
were they during all of this? Regardless, his friends were in
trouble as far as he knew. That's all he cared about, and he'd
punch his way through the gates with his suit if he had to.
Still, there were still questions he had. "So, Shooting Star...
What's 43-year-old me like?" At least the banter would keep
himself from breaking out in panic.

"Much like you now, kind and yet stern." The fluffball replied
as he looked at the dark sky above.
Darkenlight grumbled, having to walk was such a chore to him.
However he knew that his wings were in no condition for flight.
However his sharp eyesight caught a glowing object in the
distance, thus he tapped Ajax on the shoulder and pointed to it.
That glowing object was getting closer as well as the sound of
flapping wings. Little did this group know that was the future
Darkenlight was coming in their direction carrying two away from
the shadows that lay behind them.

Ajax smiled and chuckled gently at Shooting Star's response; go
figure. Still, the lynx was quick to glance in the direction
Darkenlight pointed him to, squinting as he saw the strange
light. "What is that?.. Do I hear wings flapping?.." He pulled
down his visor for a moment, using it to see if he could get a
better view of the strange light; it looked like it was a bird
creature, holding what looked like two average mobians. "That's
not a light, that's for sure..."

Natasha was holding somewhat tightly to Future Darkenlight,
crying as she thought about her possessed friend; what had
happened to Cate? She had been like a sister to her, and now she
was a weird, goopy purple shadow. "Cate..." she sniffled quietly
before she noticed an odd sound. An odd sound that was familiar
to her; was that... a Dominion power suit? No, she was sure of
it, and she tugged at Future Darkenlight's arm lightly. "H-hey,
do you hear that?.. I-It sounds like a Dominion power suit... My
friend A-Ajax might be looking for me!.."

Blaze wasn't sure what was going on. Hell it this point he would
believe anything. Still that shadow hedgehog that chased them
was a friend of the feline. Blaze wondered just how bad she must
be feeling leaving a friend like that. He knew the feeling of
course turning to his spirit partner. The expression on her face
was rather dark. Something he hadn't seen in a long time.
" That hedgehog from before....she was covered in darkness.....
the aura coming from her...it was natural. " Veira said to
herself.

Another thing, but a bit further from the purple light, came a
amber-colored light, though a notch weaker than the other light,
and flying steadily like the phoenix that was getting closer to
Ajax, whose Chaos Energy felt close...
"Hey, Amberfeather... is it just me or am I feeling two
Darkenlights?" Tamwyn asked, squinting, as he heard a familiar
sound, however not very easy to hear since he and the
hedgephoenix weren't close enough to hear it right. Tamwyn
thought he felt two Darkenlights, one who was stronger, and one
who probably still had his wings on the mend... This was feeling
super confusing to him... Was these events with the shadows more
than what they'd seen? "I also hear a suit of some kind... it
must be a Dominion power suit; only the most decorated in the
forces protecting Miana got to keep those... It's Ajax, then!"
he added, seeing a familiar head of a certain lynx if he
squinted right.

(As I haven't played Lori in canon for a while, I may be a bit
rusty on using her personality here. But I'll try.)
Exhausted, a certain amber hedgehog appeared not too far from
Miana's walls via Chaos Control, having to leave Knothole and
then to go on a fruitless search for Tamwyn and the odd
hedgephoenix Amberfeather for some time after what happened with
the odd lights and the earthquakes and all that... She wondered
where that strange bat went, as well as those who she met at the
graveyard and Knothole...
But she was shocked to find that strange shadows she saw in
Mobotropolis after hearing rumors about this Zone's Sonic
fighting a phoenix similar to Darken were here too, growling
slightly as she shook her head and started to sprint when she
saw Darkenlight far off in the distance flying away, a fleeting
feeling in her stomach that Miana was also being attacked. With
her now weakened state from using up a lot of Chaos Energy, she
couldn't exactly afford to fight those shadows right now, and
without some sort of proper weapon with her (as she had to leave
her weapons in Mobotropolis). "I hope to Chaos that Mom's gonna
be okay in Mobotropolis alone..." she said to herself quietly,
before she ran faster to her running limit to follow not only
Darkenlight, but also what appeared to be Amberfeather...

Darkenlight got into a battle stance as whatever it was got
closer. His feathers quivered, sounding like someone striking
flintstones together as they clashed and created sparks.
Shooting Star chirped happily when he looked at the glowing
object coming towards them. He let out more chirps when he
heard the wings. "It's Daddy!" he exclaimed happily chirping as
he hopped around. He flapped his wings as he tried to fly
again, wanting to go meet his father in the air.
Darken heard those chirps, his eyes grew wide as he looked in
the direction of those chirps. He hadn't responded to Natasha
because he had been concentrating on getting somewhere safe but
now his only thoughts were on his son.
[glow=magenta,2,300]"Shooting Star!"[/glow] he shouted as he
angled his wings to dive towards the small group. Guess he
forgot to say hang on tighter since now they were going at a
higher speed.

"Daddy, huh?.." Ajax knew exactly what that light was now; it
was Darkenlight, from the future. For the first time that
'night', he stood completely still, waiting as the blinding
light approached them. "Hey Darkenlight," he said with a smirk,
"what do you think you're like 20 years from now?"

Unaware of what was going on at first, Natasha almost slipped
clean off of Future Darkenlight, clamping her arms tight around
him as he flew even faster; she didn't want to fall off, and she
certainly didn't want to die! In fact, she was so paralyzed by
fear that she couldn't even scream. The only thing going through
her mind was 'don't let go, don't let go, don't let go'.

Blaze held on tight as Darkenlight ent into a dive heading
towards the mech suit and.....other Darkenlight.? Okay what in
the world was happening here? Two of the same person in the same
area and time. Now the hunter really wanted some questions
answered more than ever.

Shooting Star nodded to Ajax before he fell on his stomach after
getting an inch off the ground. He was excited.
Darkenlight looked at Ajax raising an eyebrow. "That's a silly
question."
Darken angled his wings to slow down before flapping them slowly
for landing. Before the trio now was a violet bird-like Mobian,
the wind created by his wings blew the crimson fabric that would
have appeared to cover an arm revealed no arm to be there. He
gently sat Blaze and Natasha down as he dimmed his flames for a
gentle glow. His glowing violet eyes fell on his son as the
fluffball ran into his daddy's embrace. A smile touched his
beak. [glow=magenta,2,300]"I'm so glad you are safe."[/glow]
was the only words uttered from him, his voice deep with a
relieved tone.
The fledgling nuzzled his father, chirping happily.
Darkenlight stepped back, shocked to be honest. His defensive
posture faded away, now it was an unsure posture.

Unbeknownst to the group of six and the others in the general
area, a Warp Ring had opened somewhere behind where the amber
hedgehog Lori was sprinting towards everyone, and with a female
beige-and-crimson hedgehog flying out of it and between the
now-landing amber-winged hedgephoenix who was joining the group.
"Stupid Warp Ring..." she said to herself, not ready for the
amber hedgehog near to bump into her as she stood up..

As Lori kept running, her eyes staying on Amberfeather as she
started to land as well, suddenly got the wind knocked out of
her as she ran into someone, the someone also falling down with
a surprised yell that was loud enough to catch Amberfeather's
attention, but not keeping it..
Lori glared at the beige-and-crimson female hedgehog in front of
her as she and the other female both got up, her indigo eyes
locking with the other's turquoise eyes as she gave off a slight
growl. "Who are you? And why did you get in front of me?" Lori
asked, a tone of irritation in her voice towards the other, who
seemed to be stern.
"Lori, please... I sense more people that could possibly need to
be protected from Luna and her army.." the beige-and-crimson
hedgehog said, her turquoise eyes flickering as if they glowed,
as she looked beyond Lori to where the others were. "And in
return, maybe you can try to get someone to help repair the Warp
Ring.."
