Paradise of a Different Variety

It had been a month since the separatist uprising. A lot had
happened, but now, it all seemed quiet. Natasha quietly sat in
the castle gardens, waiting for a particular pair to arrive;
Blaze and Veira. She had been racking her brain around for days,
trying to think of some way to repay them for how much they had
helped her. It only felt right to her, considering the
circumstances. "Hopefully they will like this... I know at least
one of them will enjoy part of it..." She had only sent notice
for them a few minutes ago, but she was anxious; the queen was
hopeful and nervous, wanting the gift to be as perfect as
possible, although there were a few 'roadblocks'.

It didn't take long for Blaze and Veira to arrive at the castle
gardens. It had only been a month since the upising and things
were peaceful it seemed. So it was a little surprising to hear
from Natasha. Was there something wrong? The two arrived to see
their friend without hesitation. " Good afternoon your highness.
" Veira replied as she made a formal bow. " How are you Natasha?
Is something wrong? " Blaze asked as he too made a bow.

Natasha smiled as the two arrived and bowed. "No, nothing's
wrong, but I am kind of nervous..." She scratched the back of
her head (as well as her belly, out of habit), and looked off to
the side for a moment. "You see, I wanted to thank you two for
everything you had done to help me during the uprising... I've
slowly been getting everyone else gifts, but I had trouble think
of one to give you until recently." She stood and hugged the two
for a moment before waving for them to follow. "Come on, we have
a little bit of a walk to get to it." With a simple strut she
started towards the edge of the gardens, a single drop of sweat
on her forehead; I hope they like it, she kept thinking to
herself.

Blaze and Veira returned the hug before giving each other a
puzzled look. " We were happy to help Natasha. " Blaze replied.
" A ninetails never goes back on their word espcailly seeing as
you gave me a body again. It would have been hard to say no your
highness. " Veira replied with a small smile s they followed the
queen. " So what is this gift?" Veira added.

"Well, I kind of want it to be a surprise, Veira," the queen
said as she turned around and walked backwards, an expression of
nervousness on her face. "But I will say that there are two
separate additions to it for both of you!" Satisfied with what
she 'had' told them, the royal kitty turned back around and
continued her strut, eventually leading her two friends out of
the gardens and into the craggy forests that hugged the castle.
Eventually, one ravine in particular stood out, as a set of
stairs had been built leading down into it. "Not much further,"
she reassured them.

The two continued to follow the queen as they left the gardens
and headed for the forest that was close by. " Hmm now I'm
really intrigued about these gifts. " Veira replied as her tail
swayed from side to side. Blaze looked around a bit as he
followed them. " I never seen this part of the forest...was it
built recently?" Blaze asked.

The royal feline nodded to the question Blaze asked. "These
stairs were put in recently, although where they lead has been
established for a while." As they went deeper into the ravine,
the sunlight shone gently on the water that trickled down some
of the walls, a hot spring and several tiny waterfalls being
seen. "I come to these hot springs sometimes to unwind, but
they're not the gift; at least, not entirely." Natasha led the
two to a smaller passage in the wall, which was just big enough
for her wide frame to fit through comfortably. Lamps lit the way
as the sunlight began to sputter out. At the end of the passage,
a large underground pool was brought into view, a waterfall lit
by unnatural light shimmering beautifully beside a deck of
sorts, with luxurious seats. "Here we are," the cat chimed
happily. "Welcome to your personal getaway!"

When they reached the bottom of the ravine, it looked marvelous.
The sceneary was breathtaking. When the two saw the hot springs,
Blaze's face lit up a bit at the mention of their personal
getaway. Veira smirked a bit seeing this on the hunter and
wrapped herself around him gently. " It's lovely your highness."
Veira replied as her tail swayed a bit. Blaze simply nodded. "
Thank you Natasha.." he replied with a red face.

"Well... Here comes the other parts of the gift, so don't thank
me yet!" Natasha giggled as she walked over to the seats and
reached to a small end table in between them, picking up a solid
silver ring encrusted with rubies. "First... Blaze, this ring is
for you; I had Yeri enchant it so it would help you with your
fire powers. You know, increase flame intensity more easily, use
less of your energy to do it... Stuff like that." Gently she
slipped the ring onto his finger, then hugged him and smiled. "I
hope it suits you."
Then, she turned to Veira, a childish smirk on her face. "And
for you, Veira... Do you remember what I said back when we had
that little 'test' to see if your stomach could handle eating
someone?.."

As Natasha placed the ring on Blaze's finger, he could already
feel the magic radiant from it. " Wow i can feel the energy a
lot now. Thank you Natasha." Blaze said as he hugged her back.
Veira tilted her head at Natasha a bit as she recalled the
events when she first got her body back. " Yes..?" she replied
as she looked at the queen.
