"Well, knowing Hackel back over in the Dominion... He'd fight
teeth and nail to keep it preserved... Chaos knows I would."
Natasha was too taken aback by the splendor and sheer raw nature
of the place. As she took the blossom and cradled it gently; oh,
how she wished the separatists had not been able to tear the
land of Dremsilaar. Still, her mind would quickly be taken by
the violet hue that soon engulfed them... She had no words...

The sound of wings flapping commenced, they echoed for a bit
after they had stopped. Soon through the entrance stumbled an
exhausted, younger version of Darkenlight. The scar on his
right eye was but a few months old and yet still looked fresh.
His wings were in terrible condition, a miracle he had made that
flight. He looked over his shoulder as if expecting someone to
be there, but then sighed as he simply dropped to his knees at
the water's edge.
Darkenlight looked at Natasha for a moment before looking back
at what had happened here.
This was but a child, one who had been forced from home and
lonely as ever. He covered his face and one could see tears
flow through the fingers as the sound of soft sobbing which
echoed like every other noise around. After a few minutes, the
past Darkenlight stood and glared at the sky then off passed
Natasha. "I promise you, Father, I will earn your forgiveness.
As for the Mobians that tread this planet, I will never trust
them again! From this day forth, I am no longer a weeping child
but a warrior, a true warrior!" he shouted, voice noticeably
different as it was higher in pitch.
The violet faded away as the flower closed. Yet again
Darkenlight looked at Natasha, not uttering a word. His eyes
said it all; he would trust those who were like her and Ajax,
stand by their side through everything, and forever be in their
debt for what they had showed him.

"You said you'd never trust anyone... But..." A tear rolled down
her cheek. "You trusted Ajax... and you trusted me..." She
glanced down, one of her tears splashing gently on the blossom
in her hands before she pressed it against her chest and closed
her eyes. To think, that she had managed to make him do
differently, to believe that some Mobians were worth being
friends with. "Well... I'm glad you reconsidered." Natasha gave
Darkenlight a warm smile before hugging him tightly, holding the
petal between her fingers.

Darkenlight didn't say a word, just hugged back. "A true
warrior is only a true warrior when he has friends, family to
look out for and care for," he told her, "otherwise, he's just a
kid with a stick running around beating people over the head
yelling things like 'that headache will now be sticked there'."
As Darkenlight laughed at his own little joke, another flower
sprouted up next to the old one. A new moment captured in time.

Natasha giggled lightly at the phoenix's joke; "Sounds a lot
like my childhood bullies; they're not royalty though, now are
they?" She gave Darkenlight a kiss on the cheek before brushing
the blossom against his nose, giggling. Even though she did not
know that the next flower holding this memory had sprouted, she
would not need it; it would be held carefully to her heart
forever.

"Best we get you back to the castle, your majesty," Darkenlight
chuckled as he got down to allow her to get on his back again.
He had enjoyed this day, just as much as Natasha had.

"Yes, best." The feline smiled and climbed onto his back gently,
smiling as she held tight. "Say... When we get back... Would you
fancy another feast?.." She nuzzled against his back, being
careful not to hinder his wings; that would be a nice way to
finish up a day... again...

Darkenlight chuckled and gave her a nod to answer her question.
This time, after making sure Tasha was secure, he leapt off and
swooped up into the sky. It wasn't long until they were back at
the castle. The Phoenix yawned as he landed, a good feast would
make him feel better. And who knows what he had planned for the
next day.

Natasha smiled as they flew through the air, but she quickly
closed her eyes and pressed her head against Darkenlight; she
had enjoyed this time, and enjoyed his company. Most of all
though, she had enjoyed stuffing him like a piņata and sleeping
on his bloated gut, but that was another thing entirely. As they
landed at the castle, the feline was quick to make her way to
his quarters, leading the phoenix along; with how he had yawned,
he probably would enjoy a big feast and a long nap.

Darkenlight looked tired as he was lead to his room. He knew a
feast awaited him and that tonight would end well.
