The Medical Ballad of Sapphire

Musenia was relieved when she spotted the walls of Miana.
"Don't worry honey, we're almost there," she assured the
hedgehog in Soundis' arms. When they got closer, the owl
Phoenix descended. "Hold onto Soundis tight, honey" Musenia
hollered down to Sapphire.
"Yeah uh dudette, Musenia here isn't the best at landing in her
Terrestrial Form," he warned as he adjusted his grip on her.
Soundis did not care that his shirts was now covered in
Sapphire's blood, he wasn't going to let this girl fall. And if
he had to, he'd curl around her to cushion the fall.

Sapphire did as Musenia had instructed, holding onto Soundis
tight, hiding her face in his chest.
"I'm not the best at stopping after running" Sapphire pipped up
softly, relating Muesenia's landing abilities in 'Terrestrial
Form' to her skidding to a stop abilities after running at high
speeds.
Sapphire was clinging to Soundis tightly as they got closer and
closer to the ground, closing her eyes as she hid her face away
again.

"Okay, just like usual...only you move the legs that are not
close to your wings," Musenia told herself as she slowed her
wing beats. Things slowed down as the ground got more and more
detail as it got closer and closer. Soundis curled around
Sapphire as best as he could.
Suddenly the ground came along with the feeling of a gravity
doing it's worst. "That was one of her better landings..."
Soundis chuckled as he finally opened his eyes.

Sapphire could hear the beating of the owl Phoenix's wings, and
could feel Soundis curl around her as best as he could to make
sure she was ok if they landed not so well.
But then the ground had been reached and no one was injured!
Well... There where no new injuries, Sapphire still had the ones
she had gotten from the fall.
The young, currently blood stained, hedgehog smiled at Musenia
when they landed safe and sound, "You did it!" She said with a
slight smile.
Sapphire then went back to being really quiet and wide eyes, and
rather still for someone so energetic.

Musenia smiled for a bit before helping Soundis up. With that
the two carried Sapphire into the city, heading for the
hospital. Both still reassuring Sapphire that everything would
be okay.

Sapphire listened to the two reassure her along the way to the
hospital, she held onto Soundis' shirt as he carried her all the
way, "Thank you..." She said softly, looking from Soundis to
Musenia.
Soon enough the trio had reached the hospital, the hospital crew
rushed over to help out, taking the young blue hedgehog from
Soundis' arms and taking her into a room with operation tables
and tools.
A reasonable amount of time later, Sapphire was allowed out of
the room and back out to the two, her left arm had most of it
bandaged up and her upper right leg area also had been bandaged
up.
She rubbed her bandaged arm, it felt numb, really numb, but she
guessed that, that had been done so that when they where
checking out her arm it would be less painful for her.
Sapphire made her way to Soundis and Musenia, stopping in front
of the two, and looking up at them both, she paused before
pulling them both into a hug, "Thank you so much!" Despite being
rather quiet earlier, she seemed rather happier and sprightly
now, she took a step back and held out a hand to both of them,
"I'm Sapphire, it is an absolute pleasure to meet both of you"
She said, smiling up at the two pausing on Soundis and his
blood stained short, her ears lowered slightly, "Sorry about
your shirt.." She had a bit of a lightbulb moment and looked
around, "You guys didn't see Robin did you? African Wild Dog?
Brown with funky fur pattern? Bright green eyes? Messy hair?"

Both hugged back when hugged. Musenia was gentle as she grasped
her talons around Sapphire's hand. "A pleasure to meet you as
well, I am called Musenia. Known as the Phoenix of Music." she
introduced, opening her wings in traditional greeting.
Soundis took Sapphire's hand and shook it. He beatboxed a bit
as before partly sings, "Soundis Blastin is my name and being
the Crystal Phoenix of Sound is my game." He shrugged, a shirt
could be replaced, a new friend not so much.
Both of them nodded as they'd seen Robin.
"He was found before you were, honey," Musenia informed her.
"He was taken by this hedgefox, her echidna friend and a robotic
dude," Soundis added, he looked at a passing nurse. "Excuse me
miss nurse dudette, have you seen a blue hedgefox dudette with
an echidna dudette and a robotic dude with a wild dog dude
around here? If so could ya lead us to him and maybe some jello
pops?" he asked, gesturing to Sapphire, "Our lovely dudette here
would like the 411 on the sitch."

[I]"Sorry, were you talking about me?"[/I] judging by that you
didn't get many Hedgefox, dog, echidna and robot combos around,
Fem had easily picked up that the conversation was about her and
Robin whom had now been led by Natasha to the hospital. She
still had Robin in her arms, sure enough one of the doctors
would pick him up right? [I]"I couldn't abandon Robin, he's too
much of a nice guy."[/I] she pointed out. [I]"It sounds like he
has a roster of good friends too."[/I] she said, a smile went
from her in Sapphire's direction.

"Musenia, Phoenix of music" She smiled to the Phoenix owl,
"Soundis, Phoenix of sound" She said throug a stifled giggle, as
she covered her mouth as he beatboxed what he said, her ears
pricked up though because he said a line similar to that of
Sonic's.
Sapphire's eyes lit up hopefully when they nodded to seeing
Robin, looks like he had woken up before her and managed to look
for help... When she saw him, she was going to piko hi-
Right as Soundis started asking nurses if they had seen Robin,
The very Hedgefox they had been talking about earlier, came in
with Robin in her arms, "Robin!" She shouted out worriedly as
she zoomed over and looked at his bashed up body.
"Are we dead Sapphire? Did I get us done by that fall? I'm so
sorry..." Robin managed to say soft and slowly, open I his eyes
slightly to look first at Fem and then Sapphire.
The blue hedgehog out a hand on his cheek and rested her
forehead against his and hiccuped worriedly, "No, no, don't say
that you fruit loop, we're not dead, you're going to be ok, I'm
okay, the doc's fixed me all up and they'll do the same to you"
She said back, nodding to him, moving aside as the ncrew that
took her from Soundis earlier came back out and took Robin from
Fem's arms, Sapphire threw her arms around Fem when Robin
disappeared into a room with the doctors and hugged her tightly,
"I can't thank you guys enough, all of you..." She rubbed her
eyes and let Fem go, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable.
She buried her face in her hands to hide her red glassy eyes.
So much for pikoing Robin the next time she saw him huh?

"Well this is a touching little reunion, huh? The second today."
Natasha stepped out from behind Fem and smiled, looking to the
blue hedgehog girl; it was always sweet to see friends united,
especially when tears were involved. And to think, she'd been
the one taking everyone to the hospital; was she the ambulance
on foot now? Silly thoughts like these helped her smile, despite
the somewhat depressing reality of it.
