Luckily, Ajax would never be alone in a set of circumstances
like this; Natasha was at the house, tilting her head as she saw
Ajax approaching with his strange find. "Is that... a giant bird
egg?" she asked as she opened the door to go out to him. She
stuck her nose close to it, perhaps too close for being just a
'little' curious. "Are we gonna get to take care of it?" she
blurted out then, obviously excited by the idea of finding out
what little miracle was hiding inside.

"Natasha, I suggest you be careful with that egg..."
The familiar black-and-crimson hedgehog was already in the
house, having been in a conversation with Tasha earlier, and his
crimson eyes stared right at the egg, as if he were judging it.
And he knew Tasha's 'overcuriosity' was never going to help with
       said egg either.
It had been a while since he had seen that sort of egg, but he
guessed it was either a Chao egg -which in this Zone there was
probably not that many Chao existing left- or something like a..
       dragon egg?
He felt like he wasn't sure of it...

" My true form is bigger than this..." she muttered as she
looked away from the bird. Blaze simply laughed a little before
following Ajax back to his home. Veira too also tagged along for
the ride. When they got there Shado and Natasha wee already
       eyeing the egg with curiousity.
" Hey you two its been awhile.." Blaze replied with a wave.

       Ajax chuckled as Natasha pressed her nose to the egg curiously;
"Easy there, Tasha. Don't want to harm the egg, do we?" He took
the massive egg inside and set it gently on the settee, before
turning to Shadow and smiling. "You wanna help out before
Natasha gets too curious for her own good, Shadow?" Before
walking back to the egg, the lynx grabbed a light blanket to
wrap it with, so as to help it retain its warmth.

Darkenlight had followed Ajax to his home, unsure but having
seen others do this, he knocked on the door. That poor door
would've groaned afterwards since the phoenix often forgets his
own strength. To the ones inside if sounded like a police
officer had pounded on the door or a very strong echidna.

While waving lightly to Veira and Blaze, Shadow answered, "You
don't expect me to leave so soon, at least when there is an egg
of some sort involved. If it won't attack me," to Ajax as he
grabbed the blanket from Ajax, carefully wrapped the egg, and
set it on one of two very soft, black-and-crimson pillows that
he'd brought in case he took an unplanned nap later.
Then he heard the knocking, and chuckled softly.

"Must be someone strong who's knocking.. Tasha, you should
probably check the door or something.. It may be a red male
       echidna.."

Natasha simply rolled her eyes. "Well, I'm not the one who
closed the door." She quickly opened it to let Darkenlight in
       before returning to the eggs side, staring at in expectantly;
she deeply wanted to know what was inside.

Darkenlight came inside and went over to the egg. "It needs
more warmth than that," he noted before taking a few loose
feathers off his right wing and placing them around the egg.
Darkenlight looked at Shadow for a moment before returning his
attention to the egg. "It is certainly going to be a Phoenix,
but why would it have been abandoned" he pondered, "....unless
Father is testing me to earn his forgiveness." Darkenlight
gently curled a wing around it as he crouched down to listen for
sounds. His feathers were designed for flight as well as
retaining warmth for the care of an egg. "Normally I'd sit on
the egg but in this form....I do not wish to harm the little
       one," the Phoenix finished.

Ajax chuckled; "It's a little more complicated than that Darken,
but you're taking a step in the right direction. We need to make
sure the egg stays warm, but we also need to make sure it
doesn't overheat. It might harm the little thing." Carefully he
shifted the feathers about, keeping it bundled together to the
best of his ability before pressing a cheek against it for a
moment to feel how warm it was. "It should be fine for now..."

The added amount of warmth seemed to do the trick; the egg began
to wriggle more as the knocking became louder and louder. Soon,
a crack began to appear on the egg, where it soon spread all
over the shell. The amount of movement the creature was making
from inside was enough to disturb the feathers and even shift
       the blanket some.
Suddenly, a purple light began to pulse through the cracks
before it poured through the shell, engulfing the entire room in
a bright light. There was a sound, it was almost like a small
pop! before the light began to fade. Once the light had
completely vanished, the egg was gone...but in its place - and
rolling around in the loose pieces of the eggshell - was a dark
purple dragon cub. It--he--was whining, squirming on its back,
tail whipping back and forth before the baby calmed down,
opening its eyes to reveal big green-yellow orbs, looking at its
       surroundings curiously.
...Only for the bouncing baby boy to burst into tears. And boy,
       was he loud!
