Meteor of Fate

It was nighttime in the area known as the Obsidian Isle, with
the waves calm, and the stars shining in the night sky.
A large group of Mobians sat all over a small part of the
blackened sands of the area, doing various things.
The waves smoothly and calmly rolled in and out across the sand,
setting up a peaceful mood, and to match with that, a beautiful
meteor shower in the sky, many different coloured ones soaring
above everyone's heads.
A soft sigh came from a napping black-and-crimson hedgehog with
nothing but red, black, and white Hover Shoes with Inhibitor
Rings on his ankles and wrists, his eyes closed peacefully as he
slept.
Tamwyn Realern, his apprentice, was next to him in a different
outfit than usual, cargo shorts and a dark green T-shirt being
his outfit, revealing his dark brown-furred legs and part of his
peach-colored arms, as he looked up at the meteor shower in
wonder.
He really liked this, a nice break. Mostly it was Shadow's -the
black-and-crimson hedgehog- excuse for a nap, but also to see
Tasha, Gabriel Mirrors, and Tamwyn himself. At least, the fiasco
with the herring worms were over.

Gabriel was near Shadow, staring at the moon and stars. His
wings were hidden inside his trench coat, only seen for a brief
moment when exhaled as the outside of them poked through the
wing slits.

Darkenlight was perched on a deadish tree, his posture much like
the species of raptor he was like. He had only come for meteor
shower gazing and he sensed a possible eclipse. If one would
start, he'd open his wings to help him possibly get any energy
from it.

Ajax sat in the shadows nearby, his eyes on the sky and a rifle
at his side. He'd come quite a ways to see this meteor shower,
one of the beauties of nature. Still, something just felt odd
about it all; hence why he had come armed. Normally, such an
event was something he would never visit in a worried fashion,
but his mind was biting at him.

Natasha was beside the rest of the group, laying on her belly as
she looked out across the land; her tail flicked about in the
air, and she kicked her legs gently. She was excited to see the
meteor shower, let alone see it with her friends. Listening to
the waves gently lapping against black sands, she was in bliss.
Well, almost; she didn't have a box of chocolates with her, but
other than that, total bliss.

Dawn was not too far away, perched on her own branch that had a
clear view of the sky. Her bright blue eyes tinkled at the sight
of the meteors as she was reminded of her homeworld, which
caused her tail to sway a bit. Of course, she could have sat
with her friends to share the experience but...it was one of
those times where she needed to be alone and lament on her inner
thoughts. But, she would join them soon enough.

Kida had come alone to record data from the meteors, see if they
can be used for energy, or if they were the source of Mechanium
K. Either way she was sitting on a rock near the group, she
glanced at the black hedgie not far away ever so often. She had
heard of Shadow when she fixed up an old, outdated GUN radio and
it caught a transmission. To her, being this close to the owner
of the handsome voice was ultimately overwhelming. As to how
she knew it was Shadow, she had kept that radio and listened to
it ever so often to listen for his voice; just so happens
someone was describing Shadow. Kida looked at the sky, sighing
as she waited for the meteors to start.

The sounds of the waves and the bright stars shining above them
felt so magical, a young orange fox arrived carrying a large
telescope for him to observe the meteors, he distanced himself
not to far from the group and set his equipment
there."Wow!...now this is what you don't see everyday" the
orange fox exclaimed as he set up his telescope, as soon as he
finished setting it up he gazed down the scope and saw beautiful
meteors sprouting unimaginable colours as they pass by over
them, some almost felt like it was coming towards him, to watch
this beautiful scenery was an opportunity worth taking for.

Gabriel looked over at Kida and snickered before nudging Shadow
gently. "You have a girl looking at you," he chuckled as he
gestured to Kida.

He slowly opened one eye, and murmured while yawning, "A girl..?
That's a first for me..." to the bat before sitting up and
stretching, seeing the female echidna near him.
As he was about to say something to her to leave him be, he
couldn't say a thing, blushing slightly instead before he
glanced upwards to the skies, noticing the meteors.
The meteors, as the orange fox and female echidna would notice,
were beginning to come a tad bit closer to the planet, their
colors becoming a tad bit vivider, while anyone who could sense
Chaos Energy would sense a strange energy coming from the
meteors.
