New Sliam's New Leader

About 20 years ago, after Vandheer, first leader of Sliam,
finally died from an assassin, his son Xaoc took the position
after about a year of anarchy in the metropolis. He created the
MHOS(Monster Hunting Organization of Sliam) and turned all
Sliamese on them. While most are bad, they attacked all
creatures considered "monsters". Unlike his father, he was a bit
more reasonable, not asking for obedience as much as he did
respect, as both the leader of his country and the military of
said country. He didn't want his people falling out of line, and
any who did would get the most severe of punishments, some that
would make people cry out for death. Throw an egg at him?
Eyeballs get pecked out by birds. Simple as that.
Xaoc was more delusional then he was power hungry. Him, with his
wife Ginger, inventing a mind control device to keep the
soldiers in line(seeing as some were very disrespectful toward
him), Xaoc began looking toward the monsters in other countries,
but before he could he needed more soldiers.
After many fights with monsters, he had only a few soldiers
left, and there weren't too many people joining that weren't
forced into it. Deciding it was his only choice, he built a
robot that would help his army succeed in many battles. The
MX22(22nd "Monster EXterminator") was invented to be a ruthless
killing machine, taking orders from Xaoc and Ginger primarily
but given an option of free will and obedience if Xaoc was
absent, allowing the machine to act as Xaoc would in many
situations. With Ginger's help, he was given magical abilities
and powered by magic, the robot itself became magitek.
Magitek, for the unaware, is technology powered by magic or
using magical properties, following Clarke's 3rd law "Any
sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from
magic", examples being a computer or a phone that operated on
magic.
When they began setting off for more monster hunting in other
countries, the curse hit Xaoc... hard. Before the airship the
group was in would take off, it began to explode, starting with
the room Xaoc was in. Lucky for MX22, he was ordered out by a
dying Ginger before getting too much damage. After leaving the
ship and heading back to the castle, he was captured, reset,
turned off, then imprisoned. Xaoc and Ginger were assassinated
by Xaoc's advisor's hired assassins. Xaoc's adviser? Tod
Schwarzer, possessed by a Nightmare of Xaoc's that related to a
non-Sliamese creature taking over after his death. Tod was not
of Sliamese origin, and being possessed by a Nightmare, a
monster that was created from the fears of people(mostly dead,
though the stronger the fear the more likely it being created
without death it is), only made it worse. Xaoc's worst fear,
quite literally, came to life.
After Tod, now going by the name King(I'm serious. His
self-given nickname was "The King") would die to a stray punch
in a distant country after a few months of ruling, Roxanne, a
more benevolent and kind ruler(also not of Sliamese origin. Wow,
that wasn't Xaoc's year! His own adviser gets someone to kill
him, and then two people that he'd hate take over!), would take
control. She also sadly died, after only 2 months of ruling, and
was killed by a mage who would take her life energy out.
With no where to turn, the people of Sliam panicked. They
wouldn't be able to take more anarchy after twice already they
had to deal with it before being thrown into a new government.
Many committed suicide, others ran. The old Sliam was
abandoned...
A month after, a group of remaining Sliamese came to the nearby
island where they'd find the crashed Storm Station, a ship
originally owned by Eggman after the Death Egg originally
crashed. They would go back to find MX22, reprogramming
him(poorly, mind you), turning him into Storm, leader of New
Sliam and pilot of the Storm Station. After rebuilding the
crashed ship, they began setting things up. A flying city, New
Sliam, was created that day, as it now floats around Mobius,
guided by Storm.
