As Shadow got closer, the bats started to ascend. All seeming
to follow the red-eyed bat who was now lost in the thick
cluster. Then they suddenly went towards the ground, flying
through a group of Westopolis' GUN agents before going to a tall
building and disappearing it seemed.

When he got near the GUN forces for Westopolis, he was unable to
get to the bats, and almost fell off the building he jumped off,
if the GUN soldiers hadn't caught him too late.
"Damn it.." he muttered as he got back on his feet, cursing
himself for losing Gabriel. Oh well.
Nodding to the GUN soldiers with a glare in his crimson eyes,
one of them then lifted their arm up, turning on another
transmitter, and holding it to Shadow and the rest of the group.
"Commander, come in! A Society agent has just come through the
area, but Agent Shadow has lost him.."
"That isn't good... I command a search for both Tamwyn Realern
and the Society agent immediately. Both must be captured alive
on sight. Do you read me?"
Shadow merely nodded again, and the GUN soldier answered, "Yes
Commander, over and out."

"Come through? Who says I left?" Gabriel joked as he sat on top
of the tall building. His smirk was still there as he gazed
down at Shadow. He took out a flask and took a drink before
returning it to the inside of his trench coat.

"I don't think he's gone yet...." Shadow murmured to himself,
and he disappeared, to the surprise of some of the GUN soldiers,
as he gave off a smirk.
He reappeared with his sword once again, and this time, the dark
red sword gave off a slight feeling of Chaos Energy as it gave
off a light red color.
"And who says I fully gave up?" he simply asked, looking at the
back of Gabriel's head. "Mind giving up that info now? Or should
we continue that nice chase we were having?"

Gabriel got up and turned to Shadow before stepped backwards off
the building. Before hitting the ground, he opened his wings
and swooped over the heads of the Westopolis GUN Agents and went
up passed Shadow before righting himself and flying off due
south. The last thing the hedgehog would've seen of his face
would've been that smirk. A smirk of challenge.

"I guess that means we keep going.." said Shadow, unphased by
Gabriel jumping off the building, Chaos Controlling back to the
ground, and then taking off in the bat's direction.
"Commander, the Society agent has gone off south. I'm gonna
follow him to wherever he's going, and I'll report when I get
closer to him," he said quickly into his transmitter. "And don't
send anyone to help."
With that, he began to go faster and faster until he became an
orange-amber blur, going south behind Mirrors as he faded out of
sight of the city.
