Out for a Knightly Ice cream with the Blue Blur

Phoenix had to blush deeper when she was whisked away by Sonic.
It wasn't long until they were back in Mobotropolis, although
Phoenix mind wasn't on the city. It was on the blue hedgehog
that was holding her, with her shattered memories of her long
lost love it wasn't hard for her to mistake. However she didn't
say anything about it, deciding to see if this hedgehog
remembered her. "You do know I could've raced you," she
chuckled to Sonic.

When they where back in Mobotropolis Sonic slowed down to a fast
jog, still carrying Phoenix in his arms, he smiled at her, "You
didn't want to be carried?" He asked after she said they
could've raced, "Sorry" He said quickly as he placed her down on
her feet. They had reached the ice cream palour anyway.
He put a hand behind his head, and used the other to push and
hold open the ice cream palour's door open for Phoenix,
gesturing for her to enter, "Ice cream's this way" He smiled.

Phoenix nodded and went inside, looked around in wonder. A
small gasp escaped her throat, it was the first time she'd been
in an ice cream parlor. She waited for Sonic to come in before
going much farther.

The blue hero went in after her, closing the door behind
himself.
Sonic smiled more so seeing Phoenix's reaction upon being
inside, he walked to her side and looked around himself, "Way
past 'Kool' isn't it?" He asked, pun intended.
He then put a hand on her shoulder and used his other hand to
point at all the flavours displayed at the front, "Now here's
the hard part, picking a flavour when there is so many to choose
from" He said, bringing her closer to where the ice cream was,
here was so very many to choose from, from the originals like
vanilla and chocolate to some more extravagant falvours like
Mars bar and peppermint, "Go ahead and pick one or two, I can
always get you another if you want to try out all the flavours"

"It is indeed cool," Phoenix replied, she gave a soft chuckle as
she caught the joke. Upon being shone at all the flavors, she
attempted to recall foods she enjoyed. Though two flavors
caught her icy blue eyes, Chocolate Malt and Mackinac Island
Fudge. "Those two sound magnificent," Phoenix told him as she
pointed them out, "I think I'll just have the two, I do not wish
to kill what riches you have." She blushed slightly deeper
although the sparkle of delight in her eyes showed that she was
enjoying this.

Sonic laughed himself seeing as Phoenix got his intended joke,
when the two flavours that caught her eyes where pointed out,
Sonic pointed them out again to the shop owner behind the count,
who had their scoop at the ready, "Chocolate Malt and Mackinac
Island Fudge, please" He said before looks to Pheonix, "The only
riches I've got are my pals, Phoenix, I help them out and they
help me" He shot a thumbs up at the store owner who smiled,
"Always a pleasure to have you around Sonic""And it's always
good to drop by and check up on you" He nodded as he went to
hand her some rings in pay, but she refused to take them,
"Heroes pay with the courage they show in keeping us safe~"
"Thanks again Kat""No, thank you Sonic"
Sonic looked back to Phoenix, "You can only kill my riches by
killing them... And that's not Kool and I doubt you'd do that so
no riches killing here" He nodded, smiling seeing at sparkle in
her eyes. The hedgehog was handed her ice cream, and he placed
the filled cone in her hands, "Enjoy! Oh, but don't eat it too
fast alright? I know fast is great, but you'll get a frozen head
if you have too much ice cream at once" He explained before
turning to get himself an ice cream as well, continuously
glancing back at Phoenix.

"I would never kill a person....unless it was to defend this
world," Phoenix replied as she blanked out for a moment. That
phrase....I've heard it before...but where, she thought to
herself before being snapping back to reality when he handed her
the cone. She nodded when he warned her of the danger of going
fast. With that, Phoenix took her very first lick of ice cream.
Her eyes grew wide as the incredible taste of flavor
combinations danced on her taste buds. She began to lick more
and more of the ice cream, taking small bites too, having now
forgotten Sonic's warning. Phoenix got to the cone before a
sudden pang of pain hit her. This caused her to close her eyes
to block it out, now she slowly ate the cone and remaining ice
cream. Making a mental note not to eat such a frozen treat
hastily. "It's beyond anything I've ever tasted," Phoenix told
Sonic, smiling, "I thank you for introducing me to this delight,
I will have to bring others to enjoy such a delight."

Sonic patted Phoenix on the back, "Good, because killing someone
is a huge thing, that should be avoided, and isn't the answer to
anything in my opinion" He announced before he was given his own
ice cream which was... Blue, Bubblegum blue perhaps? Or maybe
blueberry?
By the time he had his own and had turned back to Pheonix she as
already at the cone, he raised an eyebrow, "Ice cream is suppose
to be one of the things you take slow" He laughed, taking a lick
from his own, watching Phoenix all the while.
Sonic then smiled warmly at her comments, "Delicious isn't it?
There's no need to thank me, everyone deserves a treat from time
to time, and well, you had never had ice cream, everyone has got
to have ice cream! I haven't met a person who doesn't like it
yet" He nodded, "Ice cream is one of he best things you can
share with others, especially friends" He said, agreeing with
the idea of bringing others to enjoy what Phoenix called the
'delight'.
"You can also save some for later like this-" He scooped a bit
of ice cream off and stuck it on his nose, laughing, "Kidding of
course~" He said before grabbing a napkin from the counter and
wiping it off, he then looked at Phoenix, then his ice cream,
and then Phoenix again "Like I said-" he said before scooping
out another bit and putting some on her nose, "Ice cream's great
when it comes to sharing with others"

Phoenix blushed when the ice cream was placed on her nose. She
was unsure what to do now but it was hard to see that
uncertainty underneath her happiness. Her icy blue eyes were
like gems then again her fur and skin did have an almost
crystalline quality, most certainly her tail and back quills.

Sonic smiled seeing her blush and be so happy, he loved to make
others smile.
He paused for a moment looking at those icy blue eyes of hers
with his emerald green ones, before shaking his head lightly and
gently using an unused napkin to wipe his ice cream from her
nose.
"So if you don't usually enjoy ice cream as a treat, this being
your first time, what do you usually enjoy as a treat?" He asked
taking a bite out of his ice cream.
