Madoka grabbed Louis and warped to the other side of the water
trap with him. [I]"How did I not figure it out OF COURSE a water
person couldn't possibly be able to talk around a fire person
into doing something like that!..."[/I] Poor Louis now had
Madoka dragging him onwards, she seemed irritated all of a
sudden.
[I]"My rotten luck."[/i] she thought to herself. [I]"Now we've
got a trio of people who know how much I want to bed someone
else with fire powers. A weakness i'd rather not forego being
known..."[/I]

Louis gets pulled along, in deep thought. He is starting to
doubt the way things are with Madoka now, after hearing what she
said. Did she really want to be with someone who uses fire like
her? And if she finds someone like that, would she leave him?
That would kill him inside, as he feels deeply for Madoka, and
doesn't want to lose her.

"Ah that's too brutal dat ya don't believe me, dis fella owes me
a favor. Ah well guess ya ain't al' dat interested ta begin
wi'." he remarked turning his back on Madoka and Louis. Icxius
winked at Sakuri and Clove as he stretched his arms. "An' too
brutal, 'e's a virgin too. Quite de temper, sets aff volcanoes.
Ah well, best we be going; nade ter git more on board for
'elpin' oyt," the sly merechidna emphasized by saying it loudly.

Madoka growled at Icxius' loudness. She knew what he was trying
to do, she'd heard it all before.
But Icxius had made one Discrepancy.
[I]"Stick here for a second will ya babe?"[/I] she said to Louis
as she kissed him before wandering back to the trio.
She came into view of them with a grin on her face.
[I]"Guys he sounds like a blast."[/I] she put a pause in between
this and what she said next deliberately to let them think she
was willing. [I]"You've got one anomaly in your setup
though."[/I] she let out a sneer. [I]"A guy that can make
volcanoes blow? That delves from 'heat' to 'attitude', and quite
frankly, I don't need my pretty face being punched up in the
middle of the session."[/I] her grin was gone and her face said
that she was unamused. [I]"You've wasted my time..."[/I] a small
fireball about the size of a baseball appeared in her hand, she
threw it upwards, and with a baseball bat quickly appearing she
swung it, it hit the fireball and sent it flying at the Crystal
Phoenix. [I]"CATCH!"[/I] in the time that it would take Icxius
to extinguish and stop the flaming baseball she would disappear
and reappear by Louis. She pointed in the direction that they
were heading and put a finger to her lips waiting for him to
take lead. She was planning to try and mimic Louis' footsteps as
he walked to try and make the trio think that there was only one
of them still there.

Icxius slapped his tail on the surface of the water, the
resulting splash extinguished the fireball. "Ah but Brizin
won't 'arm a lass loike yerself. A gran' lassy loike yerself
wud be failte company ta 'im," he yet again tossed out a line,
hoping to reel her back in.
Clove rolled his eyes and dove down, having fallen for the
trick. Sakuri reluctantly followed. Icxius, however, knew of
that old trick and remained where he was. Heck he swam about
and started to hum a tune.

He continues forward, towards the final trap: the fire trap.
Though now, he secretly doesn't care about the treasure anymore.
All he wants is to find someplace to lay down, or get drunk, or
both.

Madoka could smell the flames as they approached the trap and
she let out a shudder. The last thing that Ixcius said hardly
registered to her as her excitement grew at the upcoming
potential to soak up some flames and power. [I]"Whatever!"[/I]
she called backwards. [I]"Have him find me and maybe i'll
consider!"[/I] she rubbed her hands in excitement and ran
towards the trap. [I]"Time's a-wastin Louie my precious!"[/I]
she called back to him, she hoped that she'd triggered the
flames as she ran.
Madoka seemed to be completely discarding feelings at the moment
huh? Maybe Louis could consider trying to tell her how he felt
after they were done with the fire trap? Maybe she'd be more
susceptible and willing to listen while she was on a high.

Louis sighs and walks through the trap. He has a few close
calls, but is able to avoid getting hurt physically. Hopefully
she calms down a bit so he can talk to her about things.

This old salt wasn't about to give up yet, he dove down through
where he and his companions. He was going to go to the next
room his own way. Twirling his trident, Icxius created a watery
drill that burrowed through the rock and made a new passage way.
He looked at Sakuri and Clove, which signaled them to stay back
as he swam forward.
Wasn't long before water flooded the bottom of the fire room,
just enough for Icxius to be able to breath. Some of the water
did shoot up and put out a few fires. Soon enough Icxius popped
up, crossing his arms. "Sorry lassy, but oi 'ill in me brown
tell 'imself a tin' 'til ya agree ta 'elp us wi' de sanctuary.
Ah an' aboyt dat promise, if ya don't 'elp I'll put oyt al'
fires everywhere," he partially threatened, all part of his act
as he be a bluffing about putting out all the fires. However
his tone was pretty dang convincing.

As flames sprouted everywhere they seemed to be drawn to Madoka.
As a fire user it made sense. She seemed to absorb the flames as
both herself and Louis traversed the trap. Madoka's body being
like a furnace meant that when she soaked in flames it meant
that she a, could exert herself more in a situation, and b,
could use fire powers for a while without burning energy as
these flames would be her energy source.
[I]"The queen of flames, commandeering her burn-ready
subjects..."[/I]
Once Madoka and Louis had reached the other end of the fire trap
she stood there. A layer of fire seemed to cover her for a
second before fading as she took in a calm, deep breath.
[I]"Much better."[/I] she said as she looked over at Louis. she
tilted her head slightly. [I]"Kiss me?"[/I] it was then that she
could see it in him, he was troubled. [I]"Actually forget that,
you're troubled, what's-"[/I]
The floor of the trap being cracked through interrupted her. She
just shook her head and sighed. [I]"Come on Louis. I got all the
fire I can hold, plus this guy breaks promises so he's obviously
below us."[/I] Madoka began to wander away from the trap, that
treasure was almost upon the two of them. She'd ask him what was
wrong when they got to that point.
