veira nodded once more as she let out a small yawn before laying
down again this time listening to the others talk among
themselves. It had been awhile since she saw most of Blaze's
allies, and she saw respect in most and treated them as allies.
Blaze simply sat back as he listened to the others as he seemed
to have an assortment of friends. He was surprised to see Alt
Madness here along with....his mother and girlfriend? that was
certainly a surprise indeed.

"It's quite alright, Amber." Natasha didn't seem at all phased
by the explanation. "Business is something that must be taken
care of as needed; I'll have plenty of chances to invite them to
visit." One of the stewards approached, whispering in her ear
before she nodded and smiled. She murmured a quiet thank you to
him, and he left them to their get-together of sorts. "The chefs
almost have the dinner ready. Although, before we eat, I would
like you all to know that I have actually had rooms prepared for
you all; you are all my close friends, and I truly would love it
if you'd stay a night or two in the castle."
The doors to the dining hall opened; Fiona, Alt, and Celestia
being led in. "Fiona, my dear! I'm so glad you could join us!
Please, come sit; the meal is almost prepared!" It seemed
Natasha was quite delighted by the appearance of her fellow
queen. Ajax waved them off, returning to his post once more, and
a bell was rung as some stewards began slowly covering the table
with hot dishes, filling the room with delightful smells.

Dawn smiled before she took a gentle whiff of the food that was
being brought in be the stewards. Her stomach rumbled hungrily,
causing a soft embarrassed blush to come to her snout. She hoped
no one would hear it - though since she was sitting relatively
close to Natasha, she almost expected the feline to hear.
Nonetheless, the food looked marvelous, but that was to be
expected, the dragoness realized.

Darkenlight shrugged, he'd stay for night before heading off.
His feather's quivered as stewards brought in food. He sniffed
the air but didn't find much delight in them, just a wonder of
what they were. On couldn't forget that he had only tastes for
carrion.

looking to veira who too approved of staying for a few nights. "

Darkenlight would be pleasantly surprised, as while the rest of
the food was being brought out, one of the stewards approached
him with a slab of freshly cut meat the size of his head. "Her
majesty wished for us to bring you fresh carrion, sir; i-is this
alright?" It was obvious the young man was somewhat frightened
by the phoenix, but loyal enough to do as he was told.
Meanwhile, Natasha smirked, as she had indeed heard Dawn's
stomach growl ever so quietly; her big ears could pick up just
about anything. That was when one of the stewards whispered in
her ear; the guards had caught two of the maids stealing gold!
"Thank you," she murmured, "I will see to it when I can."
Perhaps she could ask the princess for some assistance, later;
she deeply trusted Dawn, and she surely understood the stress of
being royalty. She trusted the dragoness... Still, there were
her friends to attend to, and she nodded politely as Blaze and
Veira accepted her offer to stay for a brief time. "You're free
to explore as you wish, of course."

Darkenlight sniffed the meat, licked his lips before stiffening
up and attempting to act regal. "Yes, this is quite pleasing to
me," he answered the frightened steward and waved him away. He
then took the carrion and started to gnaw on it. Oh how he
missed having a beak, it would've made quick work of this slab.
He pulled at it as he tried to tear off a chunk.

"Well, I'm looking forward to staying here a few days," Dawn
says, leaning on her open palm "I need to get away from the
palace every once in a while." It was true - stressful days came
for anyone under a royal name, probably too often. But lately
things have gotten too stifling for the dragoness' liking.
Unlike Natasha, she was quite comfortable keeping her title as
princess rather than a queen; however, the Council had other
ideas...
Dawn knew that if she had stayed another day back home, she
would have unleashed her pent up fry that could have rivaled
Kurai's. Just remembering the times the members have approached
her inquiring about possible suitors made her scowl darkly. She
can get married whenever she pleased - she has ruled the Domain
on her own just fine for most of her life, so why should that
change now? Ugh...she sometimes wondered why she even kept more
than half of the Council members. They were a headache is
anything else.

Natasha giggled a little as she listened to Dawn's remark.
"Unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of leaving the castle
on a whim just yet. A steward in fact just informed me that two
of my maids were caught stealing gold." Her stomach growled oh
so quietly, ready to deal with the problem, but she could only
handle one thing at a time. "Normally I would deal with it
personally in a moment's notice, but I do not wish to leave you;
you are my guests after all... Although," she drifted off for a
moment as she got an idea, hoping maybe she could convince Dawn
to help her, "If I were to have some help, I could deal with the
problem immediately. Would you by chance be willing to help me,
friend?"

"I would be more than happy to help," Dawn tittered as her tail
wriggled "I know a thing or two about keeping naughty servants
in line..." Truth to be told, while Dawn wanted to help her
friend with her problem, she was also hoping for some sort of
stress relief. Punishing a few bad apples could do her some
good, she figured. Still...who would have the gall to steal from
the very person they serve? Especially if that person rules an
entire country! Talk about foolish...
