It is a new year

Well season is open for some of us and will be opening for the
rest of us soon. It is also a good time to look over your
equipment and safety gear and fix or replace anything that needs
to keep you safe, and remember there is no deer worth your life.
Which brings me to my next thought to keep your expectations and
goals in a real manner. You need to shoot what makes you happy
not your buddy or the guys on social media. They will forget
about that buck by next season anyway and you are the one with
it on the wall. Please don't let pictures of big bucks being
killed get you down as every piece of land is different from one
another and a 160 inch deer maybe tops for one place and a 130
on the next so you can't compared deer when you are starting out
with different things to start with. Take a 130 on public can be
like taking a 160 on private land. And I bet you would be
surprised what a 2.5 year old is like on public totally
different animal. So that Being said be safe and have fun it is
not a compatition and never should be.
