Went out Saturday for most of the day and covered a lot of
ground and found a few spots nothing I am overly excited about
but I will try them and see. I have a few places to check out
yet but it is not looking the best out there. Still not a shed
to be found, this is my worst year so far on sheds.

Picked up 22 acres about an hr from my house. Looks like a
decent deer population but the surround land gets hammered
hunting. Not real excited about it but it will allow me to hunt
on Sundays during the rut as there is no hunting on public lands
       in VA on Sunday.
Walked over 4 miles scouting the public land today. Found 2
spots that I may hunt come the rut and a few other ridge points
with white oaks I'll buzz scout in early season to see if they
are producing. All in all I think I found one really good spot
       after walking my butt off.
Haven't seen a single shed in near 15 hrs of scouting so far
       this year.

Almost sounds like we're walking the same land lol. This is the
worst I have ever seen it. But I will keep scouting that's the
only way it works for me. I may have to break down and get one
of those buck bombs I herd they work haha

Buck Bombs with 33% more free! Bucks come running from 21 miles
away as they smell a deer orgy of biblical proportions.

Maybe that's why there is no deer left around here to many guys
using those and wiped them out haha

Day 5 scouting in the books. Walked several miles today. Found
just one or two solid rut spots but did find several great white
oak flats. Those spots were way more dense with white oaks than
most of the places I hunt. White oaks didn't drop last year so
I'm hoping I'm in the money come early season this year.
Once again not a single shed found. Hahaha

Walked my tail off today. I scouted spots that looked really
good terrain wise but were pretty much void of sign. All in all
I eliminated a huge junk of ground...only thing good I found was
one small side of a ridge loaded with white oaks.

That's been my kinda same situation, what's looks good the
computer (google earth ) looks like a deer has never walked thru
the whole year. It is frustrating but if we keep at it there
will be some spots that they will be and you will be way ahead
       of the rest.

Walked a ton of ground yesterday covering spots that I thought
was by itself and only was to find its gets a lot of people
coming and going hey out it and there was not much sign to
before there. Covered a ton on my way back to the car and found
one real good spot out in the middle of huge woods. Happened to
see some big old rubs from years past and since I really had no
direction to go at that point I decided to check them out and as
I got to them I started to seeing fresher ones from this year
and it got to a point were there was a ton probably most I've
seen all year. I did not really find a bed but a big scrape with
rubs all around it. I am pretty sure it is a scrape and not a
bed but it was long like a bed and not round like a scrape. I
picked out a tree were I can caught him coming to it. I hope. I
think will go back there my next trip and see if I can find a
bed or some other exit trails. Lots of big tracks on his trails
       so I have high hopes.
