As soon as are late muzzle loader is over here after Xmas I am

in your scouting. Bedding and sheds and some good funnels.

Our season up in NH has been over for a little over a week and
now I will sit down and go over all my topo maps/aerial and see
if I can see some new spots to check out. I have 200 acres I am
developing up here and plan on clearing out some areas for plots
and some funneling. A lot of work this offseason.

That sounds like a good plan. If you want to post your topo over
in the scouting you could get some other input for others.

Scouted and shed hunted Friday. Never found a shed but I did
scout the other side of the farm that I did not get to last year
as it was still in the old owners name. And now that I been over
there I see why the deer seem a little skittish, there is stands
a no blinds everywhere. I did find one good spot that I been
wanting to check out and it will be an early spot only off the
corn is standing or I won't be able to sneak in close. Other
than that just felt good to get outside.

Tomorrow ill be heading for my second day of scouting this year.
Gonna hit some long, thin ridges with some remote cover and
possibly a hub or two. Should be muddy and the trails should be
able to be seen without a ton of effort.

I scouted/shed hunted tonight and found other bed on a point
that I will go back and try to figure out where to hunt it.
Looks like a early season to mid season and I need that in order
to sneak in close from what I have seen tonight.

Had two solid days of scouting. Pretty cool spots terrain wise
but 90% of it looked dead. I did find one doe bedding area on a
point. Tremendous amount of deer crap all over the ridge
leading into the point. Right below that point I found good
amount of rubs near the creek line on the bottom of the hill.
At least I added one spot for this fall! hahaha.

sounds like your scouting is going better than mine, are deer
numbers have gotten lower than they are saying there is what I
am afraid of. I can walk a five acre field and not even see one
deer track, I am going to have scout harder. one thing for sure
in these times if you can get on bucks when the numbers return
it will be a lot easier.

Day 3 of scouting today. Walked some skinny ridges in a place I
used to hunt a lot. Found some encouraging sign mostly where a
lot of draws all leg up to high ground. Two spots in particular
will be tested out this upcoming fall.
