I'm tired

Hello all
Had a long 4th weekend with lots of family at my home and lots
of lake time and fishing time. It's tiring having to prepare 3
meals a day and clean-up for a bunch of people and I'm wore out.
Was the most beautiful 4th weekend, weather wise, that I can
remember. Was sunny and in the low 80's every day.
On a hunting note; I'm trying out a new bow (Mathews Halon X)
with a release-aid. I've shot with fingers for 52 seasons and
this is quite different. Not giving up the fingers bow at this
point because I've had pretty good success with fingers, but
giving the release thing a try.
Other than that all my spots for fall have been ready since late
April. Next thing to do hunting wise, is to go out in late
September and do a quick speed tour of my early season location
(all destination areas with either white oaks or apple and pear
trees within shooting distance) to see what trees actually
produced food and if so which locations have the best buck sign
at them.

Welcome John
Happy fourth to you as well. It has been completely the opposite
here it has done nothing but rain. I cant remember a fourth with
so much rain and there calling for it everyday this week. We did
so much of a get together this year but we did go and see some
fireworks last night and the rain broke for them which was
great. I am like you I have had most of my spots picked and
prepped since early spring and wanted to get more but ran out of
time before green up but it is better than nothing. On my only
private farm I have I had everything ready to go then the farmer
logged out some spots and cut a bunch of thick cover out so that
is a game changer on that place for now. Again glad to see you
came one the forum.
