Things you should be scouting for this year.

Let's start this for the new guys and for the ones that no.
Things I like to scout for besides sheds are bedding areas and
doe bedding then I try and find some run ways off of them for
the rut. That could be funnels off some sort or edge cover and
maybe saddles if your hunting hilly terrian. And creek cross are
another one I like but the wind and thermals makes a lot off
those tough spots to hunt from what I have seen.
What are your places you like to find that seems to give you the
best odds durning season.

Real thick cover on the high ground. Combine that with a
terrain feature like a saddle or hub and I can guarantee you I
will see action. I really like to find maybe a 2 to 3 acre
bedding spot with 4 to 5 foot tall pines on the leeward side of
a hill. That being said, those places are not real easy to find
where I hunt for many reasons, mostly hunter pressure.
