the name's dtwn4sty, you can call me dtwn if you're n4sty too.
looking for like-minded individuals to share stories with of
strange happenings - this seemed to be the best place, given the
name. wary of sharing anything too personal.
i have an average day job but at night i've been tasked (by
who/what, who knows) with fighting monsters. they seem to be
drawn to me somehow, especially this one that never lets me get
a good look at it but seems like it follows me everywhere. does
anyone else have similar experiences? i'm starting to feel like
i'm totally alone.
anyway, i guess that's it.
stay safe out there. you never know what's in the shadows.

have they been? What area, specifically? (feel free to DM as
well)

i think my machete will do a bit more damage than pepper spray
or keys but thanks for the advice.

everywhere. all over. they frequent any place that people do, or
sometimes that people don't. i can't even count the number of
types i've seen over the years. i am thinking of starting up a
database to try to keep track of them all. prosper seems to be
some kind of hive for them but i've heard they are elsewhere,
too.
the last one i successfully vanquished had some sort of...
shapeshifting abilities. at first it was some sort of
fur-covered beast, perhaps a wolf mixed with a bear? but when it
was backed into a corner it grew these stubby limbs that
multiplied with its fear, and they were covered with scales. it
had some eggs that i destroyed also. i have one in a freezer.

that's certainly... something. I'm particularly curious about
its animal-like qualities. I haven't seen a beast that fits that
description.. yet. I'm jealous.
You kept the egg???? Amazing. I'd love any description of the
egg, specifically any stranger qualities and any updates on
potential hatching, please and thank you.
