you guys are all so nice to me ;D (except karl) ty ily friends
paranormal tip of the day: sometimes the best thing you can do
is just burn down a house and start new. this is advisible if
things have caused deaths in the family, lots of harm, etc. but
you should ideally make it look like an accident. don't fuck
with things if they're hurting you.
keep fighting the good fight!! (but know when to hang up your
hat for the day)

hey prey and those who hunt in the night, hope everyone is doing
well! I am doing some research from the library today (not
telling which one) so I figured I'd pop in with a little story
about the ancient paranormal I read just today in this strange
book I found to switch things up! It kept changing so I might
get some stuff wrong.
it was in Ancient Sumerian, and my translation is a bit janky,
but here goes:
there was a woman, Enanatuma, a cultist of Ur, who devoted her
life to transcribing the words of Ereshkigal, the goddess of
death who ruled over Irkalla. she was afraid of the bleakness
that was the afterlife and thought that if she could understand
the being who controlled it, she could evade it. so she studied
and communed and made thousands and thousands of words to
appease Ereshkigal. her devotion was compelling to Ereshkigal.
it is even thought that Ereshkigal, so often ignored or feared,
felt that Enanatuma was the only one to understand her and
viewed her as a friend, or more. Ereshkigal sped up her
devoted's aging, so that she might reach her sooner, Enanatuma
viewed this as the ultimate betrayal. her work had been for
nought! she exposed her deceit, shouting it to all that would
listen. Ereshkigal knew she must punish Enanatuma, but couldn't
bear to look at her for eternity. when Enanatuma died,
Ereshkigal sent her back to Ur, formless and incorporeal. it is
said she wandered Ur until it fell, each night making words into
earth, hoping to appease Ereshkigal's hardened heart.
I feel bad for Ereshkigal :/
hope you guys liked paranormal story time! was Enanatuma the
first ghost? we will never know ;D
