Hi! Judy Allbright here, or Mom!
So, I don't want to bother anyone, that's why I still haven't
called the police, but has anyone here ever heard of someone
just falling into a void in the ground?

N4sty,
Well, it was rather void-like. It was a shimmering
purple-blackness, a bit like an oil slick. It was perhaps the
size of a small group of children menacingly playing "Ring
Around the Rosie" in your backyard at dusk. It made no noise,
but smelled distinctly of sulfur. Thank you for your help and
actually taking this matter seriously, N4sty!

was this the instance you've mentioned in which your husband was
swallowed up by a sidewalk? if so, i am sorry for your loss.
the smell of sulfur is always a sign that nothing good is about
to happen. typically, in supernatural occurrences, it means the
involvement of some sort of demonic entity or those that do
their bidding. the voids and portals of other beings generally
have different distinctions. (everyone should avoid any portals
that smell of octopus or have tendrils coming out - not fun,
extra gross, lots of ichor that is really hard to get out of
your hair.)
had he perhaps been acting strangely before? nervous? did he
come across any sudden good fortune, anything out of the
ordinary that seemed too good to be true? it is possible that he
got himself tangled in something that he wasn't prepared for and
was snatched up by whatever he was dealing with. portals and
voids are usually only wielded by the more powerful
monstrosities in the demonic category. they aren't always like
what you would typically think of as demonic, but that smell you
mentioned is a good indicator.
i would be willing to share some of my notes on such entities if
this sounds like it is in the right vein. if not, i am sorry
that i couldn't be of more help.

It's no trouble, he came back after all! He looks a bit
different now and he can't really do anything but stare into
nothingness, but we will adapt to this new normal!
