       East Broad Top Railrod

       As many of you know the East Broad Top has gotten a 3rd chance
       at life. The newest group ( East Broad Top Foundation ) to buy
       the entire EBT ( except for Mount Union ) have been very busy
       rebuilding the railroad. They have plenty of plans for the
       future of the railroad. They have already returned to service
       EBT Mikado #16 which never ran in tourist operation. This
       locomotive last ran in 1956 roughly and sat dormant for all of
       the EBT's tourist years until the new group bought the railroad.
       Trains are running on the original 5 miles of track to colgate
       grove and back. Work has been moving south towards Robertsdale
       slowly but surely. There have been new passenger cars delivered
       to the railroad and placed into service. There is another mikado
       currently undergoing restoration in the shops. Many members of
       this new group are very proud and excited to bring new life to
       the railroad. If any member has pictures of the process, please
       post them in this thread. We are very excited to see the
       railroad get a 3rd chance on life. As they say, 3rd time is the
       charm right?
