       Recruitment Changes and Initiate Trial Phases

       Following their IC introduction/interview, new members of The
       Silent will be subject to trial period before obtaining their
       Level [2] rank: Member, Associate, or Mercenary. This trial
       period will last upwards of 2 weeks, and during this time
       members will need to actively participate in RP, attending
       events and seeking out RP partners in order to introduce their
       character to the guild story-line. The trial period can be
       extended as long as needed, and upon it's conclusion one or more
       Guardians or Exarchs will discuss the individuals RP
       characteristics with me, and determine if they are ready to
       receive an Level [2] IC rank.
       Attending some events will not require a Level [2] rank, and new
       members  [Prospects] will be encouraged to attend them during
       and after their trial period.
       Other events will require a Level [2] or [3] rank, or be
       specifically by invitation based on your characters involvement
       with the relative story aspects. Rank requirements will be
       posted in Event details on the calender, and questions should be
       directed towards me or the Event hosts.
       Attaining Level [3] ranks will require extended activity and
       participation in the guild story. While I will currently
       determine the timing of these promotions, our intent in the
       future is to have IC council based decisions for those seeking
       promotion.

       Further alts of existing ranked members will be subject to a
       less rigorous and lengthy trial period, and will be allowed
       greater freedom in terms of their characters roll and
       interaction with the guild. This will permit characters to
       participate in the guild story even in the circumstance where
       they are not an ideal fit for the inner circle of the
       organization, at the cost of not being able to ICly attend some
       events for story reasons. This is also intended to open up story
       ideas for characters that are associated with the Silent but not
       IC members.
       This is mainly directed at characters that, due to unique
       aspects of their personality or story, would not fit into the
       guild's story-line as an ordinary member. Examples of this are
       particularly violent characters, mercenary/business characters,
       Clueless/innocent/nonviolent characters, and characters that
       represent 'Ins' and association with other organizations and
       factions.
