Small Kingdom

Frances waited in the bush in the forest located next to the
once lively village. He was the only occupant at the moment. He
had arrived their only a few days ago. It was abandoned, and no
one claimed it as their own. The young fox immediately declared
himself "king" since no one else was around. Franz was now
hunting for food. He made a pit trap, and was waiting for
someone or something to fall into it. Then he would kill it the
best way he knew possible. Pretty and large explosions.
The fox only had conflict with one person, but she was his
prisoner, now. She had cool sword but refused to let go of it.
What the fox did not know was that she was in the blacksmith's
old shop, hammering away at some iron.

The demon jester walked silently into the abandoned town. The
only noise to be heard was the rattling of his chains. How could
that squirt of a fox gotten so far away in such a short time. He
had been hired to kill the foxs prisoner. But, He had been
tracking them for three days now and they were already easily
thousands of miles from the demons homelands.

Aubrey surveyed his surroundings as he approached the abandoned
village. Some days earlier, he had stumbled upon a rumor saying
something happened here that drove everyone away. His curiosity
had gotten the better of him and he found himself looking at a
bunch of empty roads vaccant houses. While traveling to this
place, he had toyed with the idea of becoming the king of the
area. The title would certainly suite his name. He didn't know
if that was a realistic fantasy though, since you can't be a
king if there is no one there to rule.
The shady looking elf decided that he'd do a little patrolling
since he was already there. Maybe someone had arrived before him
and there might actually be someone to rule. Aubrey took his
time as he headed to the outer edge of the village. He planned
on exploring the outside and then gradually make his way to the
heart of the abandoned town. He came to the edge of a forest and
began walking through it. He stopped though when he spotted the
rough outline of a trap and stared at it a moment before looking
around for whomever made it.

Franz swore under his breathe. His prey was not falling into his
trap. Humanoid meat was not part of his particular taste, but
maybe this man could be his new prisoner. Of course he would set
them free once they promise to become part of his kingdom.
However, the fox could not do this if the man near his trap did
not get captured. The fox sent a wind-up doll to walk towards
the trap. Of course he was not going to capture his own toy. The
doll stopped right near the edge of the pit fall. One false move
and the elf would fall in. Franz snickered at his devious plan.

Tenma, Franz's first "prisoner", was humming a sweet tone as she
hammered away at the iron. She escaped her shackles by using her
famous sword technique, Kochou Illusion. She simple turned
herself into a hundred butterflies and escaped. Now, she was
making herself a iron sword. It had been several weeks since she
was able to work in a forge. Her journey was mainly to come to
this abandoned village and make it her own. It seemed that the
fox boy already did that. It was no scratch off the wolf demon.
She could take of him as he slept.

Aubrey looked to where he heard the wind-up doll coming out of
the bushes and stared at it. He blinked when the toy stopped
just before the trap and stared at it. He raised an eyebrow and
looked down at the trap. Was this some kind of childish plan to
get him to fall for it? He was too smart for that. The elf
simply stepped around the pit and crouched next to the toy. He
flicked it with his finger to see if something would happen. He
knew that the owner of the trap was somewhere in the direction
the toy came from, but he brushed it off for the moment.

The demon stopped hearing the clanking of metal to iron from the
forge. "She must be in there." He headed in the direction of the
sound as he pulled his weapon off his back. A giant black scife
wrapped in bandages and chains. The chains started to unwrap
themselves and float in circles around Souls body.

The doll only fell down from being flicked by the elf. Franz
started to slowly crawl out from the bush to escape. He
concluded that the wind-up doll was definitely not the best idea
to make the elf fall into the pit hole. It would be a lost cause
for the time being.

Tenma let the new formed iron cool off in bucket of cold water.
She place the iron next to the forge as she detected an
unfamiliar scent. The feeling she was getting told her that it
was a threat. The wolf demon walked over to the nearby table to
pick up her sword.
"It seems we have a guest, Ippenkyohaku." Tenma said with a
smile on her face.

Soul walked to the entrance of the blacksmiths old shop. "Why
hello there wolf girl." His chains stop turning but kept
themselves around him. "Long time no see."

Aubrey scratched head and stood up once more. He walked over to
where he knew the owner of the toy was and went into stealth
mode. He didn't make a sound as he crept up on the fox. When he
was near enough, he reached out and grabbed the scruff of the
fox's neck, easily lifting him to eye level. "Well well, what do
we have here?" he asked.

Tenma still smiled as she turned towards the doorway. Her
feeling was correct about an uneasy, threatening presence.
"Why hello again, Reaper. I see that Death is at my doorstep,
again. What do I owe this pleasure of you stopping? Would you
care for a cup of tea?" The wolf demon asked.

"Oi! Put me down!" Franz yelled when the elf picked him up like
a kitten. He kicked and struggled to get free. The fox started
to regret making a pit fall as a trap. The most stupidest move
was using the wind-up toy. He should stuck to hunting or even
fishing.
