       Some Notes on RI
   DIR By: Colleen
       Date: May 19, 2014, 2:36 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Today's RI produced yawns and other changes while
"dis-creating". For example I created a hospital that was
"dis-created" of patients and doctors, and kept RI'ing different
       aspects of that.
Then I RI'd my daughter happily having her baby at home. I
don't think that is really her postulate, and more likely my
postulate. Is it an attempt to pan-determine?
Quote from Dennis: "...the "other’s" postulate is the one you
put at the other end of the comm line, and is called the
       pan-determined postulate"
If I apply that to "have another create something and put it
around you", well that would be interesting, other than having
them create something that is my postulate -- have them create
something that is their postulate, not necessarily one I'm
       assigning to them.
In one, I am pan-determining them and in the other they are
self-determined and you might say they are pan-determining me,
and ....... I am mocking it all up. :)

Yes I believe that is creating the others postulate
(pan-determining it). I would try and make postulates you don't
want, or both the wanted and unwanted.

Dennis' instruction re RI is to keep doing it until no more
change. This is a detailed description, with example, of how I
do RI until no more change.
       Typical RI today:
       "Create an Importance"
-- natural pool fed by waterfall --
"Put it around you 360 degrees"
--change occurring - mind bringing up fear of water snakes-
Repeat of first command, same scenario (water snakes not
       included)
--mind brings up more water snakes--
Repeat of first command, original scenario (snakes not included)
The original scenario is what produced the "change" so that is
what I keep putting up, until no more changes occur.
"Changes" included other fears related to bodies of water.
NOTE TO SELF: Do not change the original scenario until no more
       changes occur.
That seems obvious, but that was not always what I was doing to
       handle the mind's compulsive create.
I have always had a fear of swimming in deep lakes and oceans,
etc. and running this scenario until no more change
brought immense relief of this particular fear and I felt more
       present with the current environment.

       "Have Another Create an Importance"
A mother creating a child as an importance
       - IP of more help vs less help
       - Yawns
No more change and felt the only importance was simply to be
       complementary as possible

       RI Practice 13Aug14: A Mother
All around me and in 6-directions around me. I've all this
life had an uncomfortable fixation on my mother which extended
out to other motherly types. While doing this practice I came
into the laughter of rejection of the whole idea of spiritual
beings needing to get fixated on mothers and then recalled the
earlier games we played which were more like brotherhoods or
fellowships and were a lot more fun and how we would have
thought this whole parent and child game was degrading compared
to what flights of fancy we could get up to as a democratic
       group.
How does a Mother seem to me now? Rather anachronistic for
myself personally, not planning on playing this game again -- of
       being human.
It's a game and I have no judgment about it and can be
complementary with it; in other words, I could play that game,
but don't feel I have to anymore. I'm still laughing at myself
for getting so wound up all this life. The concept no doubt
started out light and playful and due to needing to explore all
the possibilities it of course became more and more compulsive
and serious. You might say it is written into the script -- or
matrix of the over-arching goal "To Know".
How does that fixation on Mothers seem to me now? Gone as of
       now.
To balance it I created a mother creating a child.

       RI, My Mind
The change up that I've been walking around marvelling about is
the consistency with which I am aware that, in spite of
apparencies, all is "self-to-self". I feel a resentment
towards someone? I realize it is me against me, and I see an
incident from the past before there were bodies or much matter.
I wanted to create a persistent dream so I had to create a
split, thus the barrier as described above. I rail against the
barrier and then I gnaw on myself too and have carried these
non-life inclinations all the way to present time. Yes, there
were also the life goals of To Know and To be Known on this
playing field, but the consideration of force entered into it
early on and I could only operate on a limited basis as long as
the ancient self-destructive postulates went uresolved.
I see a wall or barrier somehow composed of the postulates "must
not know/must not be known," and a lot of feelings, emotions,
and thoughts associated with that. I am on both sides of that
wall, however I don't know that, and that is the purpose, and I
       did it.
I have been moving that incident around, 6-directions to reveal
more of what occurred there and thus to get my attention on it
unfixed. This has resulted in my everyday viewpoint that all
interactions are unreal, in that my reactive mind (which got
formed on the basis of that program set of must not know/must
not be known) wants to make others the cause of any discomfort,
and truly the discomfort is with myself -- self to sef -- and
what I decided to do with myself and from the viewpoint of the
being who can know only what is on one side of the wall or
       barrier.
I gave up the viewpoint of the creator ("creator" became a "not
me") and now I am slowly regaining that viewpoint too. Instead
of the snake biting its tail or the scorpion blindly stinging
itself there is an increased measure of awareness of how this
playing field was created and, more importantly, that it was I,
in the first place, who did it.
When I look at others I see "I" more and more than before. I
still get mind chatter and incidents and every phenomenon that
attends that, but more and more I can stop and sit while I track
it back to that primal incident. The idea of "not self" is now
for me only one side of the story.
When you can take on the creator viewpoint the interactions on
this playing field do become more amazing and wondrous because
it is all you -- entertaining yourself -- from that viewpoint
and you are able to be more detached, but as long as the "wall"
is there, both viewpoints can be valid, and I dare not say more
because I would be getting beyond myself at this stage.
So the prime objective is to "take down the wall" (Pink Floyd),
more accurately to be able to take it down or put it up --
unlimited ability. As long as I am limiting myself from knowing
that I am the one who created this universe -- oh, there is the
other postulate that I can only know things that have been
brought into existence to be known in this particular
universe..... I did it to myself. We are all cast from the
same "creator", and we are all that same creator is what I am
       ticklishly aware of.
As Niz would say (Nisargadatta), "that's not IT!" I agree,
and I do need to get back to my work. I have known myself to
get stuck in a more pleasant state and not want to move on.
       ::)

It's nice when you realize your the one creating it all! A lot
of times we tend to blame others but it's just you putting up
there! In fact what we blame others for is te very thing we have
been guilty of ourselves. I like to say the biggest complainer
is the one who does it or did it in te past. Good for you about
       those realizations!

After reading this I'm not sure I've been doing RI correctly. I
assumed "placing 360 around you" meant filling up a 360 degree
space around me with all of the objects I create. And I assumed
that I just kept creating different objects one after the other
until no more change occurs at which point I imagine someone
else constantly placing objects in the bubble around me.
I'm just starting out so perhaps someone can help?

Hello, any advices I give are from a person with a quite
compulsive mind so keep that in mind. I keep it simple and take
one concept or scene or object and put it all around me.
Usually my mind immediately latches onto it and "change" occurs.
Sometimes I wander off with my mind and then have to place the
same thing around me again. I persist until no more change.
Sometimes I check in by asking, "How does that _____________
       seem to you now?"
Writing about it as I go really really helps me stay focused on
       the exercise.
I gave a few examples, hoping they would be helpful. I can bring
anything into existence around me and it creates some sort of
"change". That for me is things like scenes, somatics, emotions,
       thoughts.
I now don't go a day without doing RI because it keeps me so
smoothed out. RI often takes a long time for me though - 3-4
hours sometimes. I hope your case is better than mine. :)

Basic RI Commands from Dennis Here
   DIR By: Colleen
       Date: January 9, 2015, 3:15 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
This is copied and pasted from Dennis' manual, "The Resolution
       of Mind ..."
       Level 2 Commands:
       a) Select a non-significant past scene.
(Masochists can select a significant one.)
       b) Select an object from this scene.
       c) Find an object in present time that is different from the
       past object.
(NOTE: A present time object that you can see with your eyes.)
       d) How is it different?
Repeat c) and d) (it's permissible to use the same present time
object over and over again if you wish) until no more change.
       Then:
       e) Find an object in present time (one you can see with your
eyes) that is similar to the object in the past scene.
       f) How is it similar?
Repeat e) and f) until no more change, then repeat c) and d).
Continue until both c) and d), and e) and f) produce no more
       change.
       g) Select a new past object, either from the same past scene or
       a different one.
Repeat c) and d), then e) and f) with this new past object until
       no more change.
Continue the exercise, using more and more significant past
objects, until no more change occurs with any past object you
care to select. Now do the exercise with past persons. Select
them one at a time, and complete the exercise with each person.
Continue until no more change occurs with any past person you
       care to select.
As you do this exercise, and the compulsive games condition
between you and your mind begins to break down, you’ll find that
it becomes progressively easier to place the ‘then’ and ‘now’
objects side by side for comparison purposes, until you are
quite easily able to view both the ‘then’ and ‘now’ objects
simultaneously. You are learning to Timebreak.
