In ages veiled by shifting sands, where empires rose from desert
       strands,
A golden city, Aethelred, with knowledge as its crownéd head.
Their scholars delved in cosmic lore, Imposed secrets evermore.
Whispers spun of distant stars, celestial maps, and cryptic
       scars.
But shadows lurked in distant lands, a rival kingdom, grasping
       hands.
Khemnis, the veiled, with hidden might, Concealed their darkest
       light.
Forbidden cults and serpent gods, rituals etched in bloodied
       sods.
Their priests, with eyes like burning coals, kept ancient wisdom
       in their souls.
Across the dunes, the whispers flew, of Aethelred's celestial
       view.
A yearning burned in Khemnis' heart, a hunger for a stolen art.
Oppose the light they cried, let shadows cloak what truth may
       hide.
Their spies disguised, with cunning arts, infiltrated
       Aethelred's beating heart.
Within the halls of scholars wise, a serpent's smile in
       scholar's guise.
He sowed discord with sly deceit, Expose the secrets, oh so
       sweet.
He whispered tales of hidden power, a forbidden key in
       knowledge's tower.
A young apprentice, thirst for fame, ignited a destructive
       flame.
With stolen scrolls and whispered lore, he fled the city,
       closing the door.
Aethelred's wisdom, once their pride, now flowed like rivers,
       turned aside.
Khemnis rejoiced, their power grew, their dark dominion bloomed
       anew.
But stolen knowledge, cursed and raw, unleashed a force they
       couldn't gnaw.
The serpent gods, with hunger vast, devoured all, a future cast
In endless twilight, cold and grim, a poisoned chalice, filled
       to the brim.
Khemnis learned, in bitter throes, the cost of stolen, forbidden
       flows.
For knowledge craved, without its light, can twist and writhe,
       and plunge in night.
Aethelred, though wounded deep, vowed from the ashes, knowledge
       to keep.
With guarded hearts and lessons learned, their wisdom once again
       discerned.
The Gnosis lens, a lesson stark, between expose and impose's
       arc.
To seek with reason, not with greed, lest stolen light becomes a
       seed
Of empires fallen, kingdoms lost, a bitter price at any cost.
