       Conservative States Meeting
   DIR By: Confederacy of Columbia
       Date: September 6, 2015, 6:34 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
OOC: This meeting is to be between CONSERVATIVE STATES ONLY.
Meaning Caos, you are not welcome to this chat, unless you
       converted to conservatism.
Governor Preston has asked that states lead by conservative
leaders to join him in Richmond to discuss matters such as
slavery, states rights, and the formation of the Jefferson
       Antebellum Party.

Frijstaat would be interested in attending, but must acknowledge
that it is not a typically-conservative nation. Frijstaat is
very proudly a libertarian-minded nation, but strongly supports
the rights of states within the NCSA to run things as they see
fit without interference from the confederal government. Would
       Frijstaat be welcome?

Yes, by "conservative" we mean libertarians with moral values.
       We welcome you to join.

Diddyland is aware of the fact, that one of Columbia's greatest
issues is the wish for nullification of laws to be possible.
Diddyland would be willing to cooperate with Columbia to write a
bill that would allow nullification if the state can show that
this NCSA law would directly harm its economy, moral principles,
       population, or so.

I like this idea, but it should probably also require that there
be some method of showing a state-level solution to the problem,
otherwise the socialists will shoot it down immediately.

I agree with both of those statements, and I would support a
bill with that kind of language. So for example a bill that
outlaws say Tobacco, a state could nullify based on economic
       purposes.

Exactly, if, for example, that country's economy was very
       reliant on the tobacco sector.
Either the congress or the Supreme Court could then proceed to
decide, if the state should be allowed to nullify that law
