Carolina Alliance Secret Nuclear Weapons Development

With the recent importing of uranium, the Carolina Alliance is
ready to research, construct, and test it's own nuclear weapons.
This is only known by the government and a few selected
scientists.

Scientists are currently working on a 10 megaton warhead. There
are also plans for a 20, 35, 50, and possibly even 100 megaton
warheads. They will all be two stage thermonuclear warheads.
Along with these new weapons, the CA is also revamping it's
defense system, by upgrading anti-ballistic and ground-to-air
missiles with more accurate navigation systems, better
detonation systems to reduce the possibility of a dud warhead,
and more powerful warheads to ensure the opposing missile/plane
is properly destroyed. The second phase of the defense system
revamp is to create a safe way to defend the nation from all
nuclear attacks. Top scientists are currently meeting with the
congress to discuss nuclear defense plans.

Under the circumstances, I'm inclined to say no to this.
Here's why:
Such an event is a very hard thing to do. It's complicated, and
you have no experience ICly with it. Not to mention it took me a
week. Wait at least a week to get into the KILOTONS, not
megatons.

I saw Caos's post here was removed. Why was that? If it wasn't
too bad, can you bring it back? He knows more about this than I
do so his input would probably be helpful. And if it is really
bad, then caos could you repost it but make it sound nicer?

Seeing that I found this stuff on the internet, it wouldn't be
that hard for scientists to find that info.
I think by now I could test a 1-5 megaton warhead. Do we agree?

Carolinian scientists have developed a 3.5 megaton warhead. They
attached it to an ICBM and launched it towards the mountains of
Siberia where it will detonate. 5 long range aircraft have
already made their way to an area just outside of the effect
radius and will report back on the test.
