       PLANNED CIVIL WAR RP!
   DIR By: Columbia

I wanna set up a planned Civil War RP so we kinda know where
things are heading. It would be the UCA vs the NCSA. I think
this can be a fun RP, if we don't get too worked up. I think it
should be based around the American Civil War, but that should
only happen if I can get a few more people to join my side in
the war. Again this is for RP purposes. I wanna hear how y'all
would like to plan this out.

Okay...well thanks for the response I guess? Nvm. Would a mod
lock or delete this thread if this is the way people are gonna
       be?

While it is a good rp it would be good to get some numbers.
But needs to be a clear define purpose.
       No insults
At least skeleton structure of the way it will work

Realisticy, My nation would not fight im the civil war. I want
to OOC, but IC i makea no sense.
The philosophy of my people is "To go to war is to kill the
workers of other nations" essentially, I would only battle if
the purpose of the war was to help oppressed workers. Because
that's not tg premess of the battle, most likely I will be a
neutral force trying to protect displaced covilians if both
sides. Giving food and shelter. This means if someone begins
targeting civilian houses and people... My nation will put
       political pressure on them.
This means if the battle is in columbia, I will send aid to the
       columbian 'people' not 'soldiers'.
Aside from that, I think it could be fun!

Plans RPs are, in my honest opinion, a tactic employed when the
person who is suggesting it does not want to loose. Personally,
it's a strategy one uses to control. It removes all element of
surprise by forcing a person to stick to one thing. It hampers
creativity, and leads to arguments upon what would happen. In
this case, the suggestion almost reeks desperation to do the
following: Attempt to control who lives or dies, attempt to
control the RP, and attempt to stifle everyone else's movements
and replace them with your own.
I could not join. Simply put, the suggestion is so you don't get
surprised, and I do not like that idea.

Okay here are my responses to everyone:
Turk: Meh right back at ya
WP: Exactly, that's the purpose to this thread is to discuss how
it would work. I want to know if you'd be willing to do it? UCA
or NCSA? I agree it can be a good one but only if it is in large
numbers. The purpose would probably be the same as the American
Civil War: States' Rights. There is a pretty big divide here on
the role of an individual state so that could be a good starting
       point.
Cog: Thanks for that, and I completely understand. Your state
isn't the one to get involved with warfare and is pro-person not
pro-soldier. But you can still give ideas as to how it can work
out :) Like what kind of stance would your state take
       politically? Pro-Secession or Anti-Secession. Pro-States or
Pro-Federal Union? Just a few things to think about.
Caos: The purpose of structure is to create a timeline,
locations, battles, key events, not the winners and losers. It's
your opinion on creativity, but the way you act, I don't think
it's possible to do a spontaneous RP. This way there is less of
you belittling people and more of us having some fun and
planning things out as it goes along. So the entire thing isn't
planned at once, it'll happen in little pieces. So you would be
able to contribute and make ideas about the RP, not just me.
That's the point of this, to get ideas and gain people who would
participate. If you don't want to then you don't have to and
noone can force you to do so. While unpredictability can be
fun...it can also get wonky and it causes you to throw hissy
       fits.

Well I'ed have to say Cor'Therma is pro-state and individuality.
If congress is socialist and passes socialist manditory laws...
Conservitive states should be able to reject them. It works both
ways. Conservative congress could force conservstive laws on
socialist states. This is why I'm pro-state. Those who are in
favor of athoritarian ideas and laws are usually the ones who
think they'll be calling the shots.

Why do we have to have "Socialist" or "Conservative" Congresses?
Why can't we compromise on issues? I think the resolution on
that is to only work with issues we can agree on. Or compromise
more efficiently, I'm pro-states doing whatever they want,
within reason, I would find it deplorable if a state had child
porn legal, or for Columbia's sake actual slaves, I'm not
particularly happy with WPs or DENs work camps, but I'll let it
       slide.

Okay, but the point to this to come up with the following:
*Who's on who's side (NCSA vs UCA)
*Where are the battles to be fought? (NCSA vs UCA or Both)
*What kind of battles? (Diplomatic vs Militaristic or Both)
Things like that and then also to include some pros and cons of
each state so we don't create Utopic versions of our country.
       So for example:
       Columbia's Pros and Cons
       PROs:
-Excellent producer of agriculture especially cotton (So has
       leverage in the agriculture section)
-Has well trained Generals and an army with fire and will
-Prison Slavery Force can be used if military support is needed
-Landscape is navigated perfectly by Colombians while it may be
       tough for northern states
       CONs:
-Small military force of under 92,000
       -Outdated weaponry
-Tanks, Iron clad ships that rely on noisy Steam
-Majority of Population is in servitude and using them for
military support could cause an economic collapse
-Small population of under 1 million (791,305)
