OOC: I was just about to set the stage
IC: The lights on stage turn on, in the background is JAP and
the party's symbol. People are cheering for the each speaker
most notably Maria Stark, Jag McCartney, and Jack Portland. The
crowd is mostly more moderate members of the party, they mostly
want to work with the opposing sides to get things accomplished.
A few minutes later Jag McCartney is announced to come on the
stage.

"Thank you, thank you," Jag said over the crowd. "Alright thank
you." The crowd began to settle down as he lowered his hands. "I
think that it's appropriate that we, begin with a prayer. So I
ask that all heads are down not a single one up, and that we go
fully into the arms of God." He bowed his head and closed his
eyes. "Lord, I know I am a sinner, and that I do more wrong than
good and that even as a believer I have a heart with wickedness,
I need you Lord to show me the right and lead me from the wrong,
away from Satan and his armies of demons. Lord, pray for each of
these good believers here with us tonight, and hope that they
can see the light, and put You before the politics, in the name
of our Lord. Amen." AMEN hummed the room.
"Well, I was told I was here to give a speech not be a preacher,
though sometimes I don't know the difference. But, I first was a
Baptist minister. I baptized people, I saw goodness in people.
And so I want to take this time to talk not about our politics,
but of the faith of the Jefferson people. Ya know we're the
party for the Christian men and women. We're the party of
believers. Sure, you can find some scarce findin's elsewhere,
but nothin close to what we have here. We have a good bunch of
blessed people, great people, who serve the Lord daily. My
mother and father, they were some of the greatest Christians I
think I ever met, and they were sharecroppers. I grew up as the
son of a sharecropper and a carpenter's daughter. I never even
meant to get into politics, I was supposed to just be a Baptist
preacher, I wasn't makin much, still don't, but God called me.
God said, 'look there are people out there that need your help,
there are folks out their that need earthly leaders, you gotta
be one of those guys'. And I think I was, I hope I am. I hope
I've stood for what God wanted me to stand for, cause if I
wasn't, well then the Good Lord may strike me down at any moment
as He pleases. I'm sort of worried about this world right now,
not because of my homestate's secession, or anything of that
sorts, but its the denial of God and the distortion of the
Bible. We've got a 3 party system, only 1, only ONE, recognizes
God as supreme. Who do the others believe in?" A man yelled
government. "Exactly, they believe in the greatest false god to
ever exist, a big government, a huge government that can provide
for your every needs perfectly. They think that they can do all
these great things, No, they can't but the heavenly Father can,
I know that. He sent his Son here to do goodness to the world!
The greatest man to ever live, Jesus! He came here to preach of
salvation! Of Hope! Not socialism, not pacifism, not high taxes.
He came here to preach HOPE FOR THE PEOPLE. And I want to follow
in Jesus' footsteps and help those people, if any of you are
non-believers, I'm terribly sorry, it aches me to know that you
are blind, that you refuse to see Jesus as Savior. But, don't
you see, the NCSA government, believer or not, is not the HOPE
OF THE PEOPLE!" He shouted the people stood up in an uproar
cheering and clapping. "THEY WANT TO TAKE OUR RIGHTS AWAY THEY
WANT TO BLOCK GOD OUT!" The crowd boomed more. "Oh but, Lord, oh
Lord they are so wrong, Lord, and You know it too Lord, that
they'll try to disobey Your laws and Your words! Now God calls
us to help these people, yes, help the poor, but not with the
government! But introducing them to the SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST! Who
will save them and take the burden of sin and sorrow off their
chest! To give HOPE! We need to follow in Jesus's steps and give
Hope. I know, it sounds vague and dumb, but the UCA is hope. We
believe in everything you believe so pick up those phones and
call your senators your reps, your governors, your heads of
states, your kings and queens! AND TELL THEM GOD IS GOOD ALL THE
TIME! AND WE WANT HOPE! WE WANT GOD! WE WANT FREEDOM! WE WANT
THE U-C-A! Thank you very much and may God bless y'all!" The
crowd was in an uproar and was happy and cheering as it sounded
like a huge basketball game. McCartney walked off stage.

A few construction workers were chatting nearby in the streets,
walking down and laughing at each other. They had their lunch
boxes with them and their toolboxes as well, their coats hanging
on their back. Their construction hats were either on top, or
bobbing on the side, but each man was still wearing their vest.
One of them had a box with them, and it looked rather important,
with a scaffold actually standing on the side of the large
indoor stage building.
"Ya know, I've got ten bucks that you drop that wrench down on
the ground." One of the men said, and smiled. "Right on top of
that old hag, eh?"
"You're crazy. Twenty says he THROWS it!" They smiled and one of
them smacked the other's back, walking along the street. They
got near a truck they had driven up, and walked up to the
scaffold, holding the box and their lunch.

Cardinal Jack Portland took the state. A round of applause
erupted. As a former NCSA President nominee he still had many
supporters. He was a sensible many in his early 40's and a
cardinal in the West Phoenician State church.
"I would like to thank Congressman McCarthy for his enlightened
speech. My message I wish to project is a message of hope. A
hope that we as states of the NCSA can come together to move
forward and make the NCSA prosperous for all. To become a nation
that hungers for the truth, that respects the rights of states
and the rights of children both in and outside the womb. A
nation built on togetherness not fear and war. A nation that
listens to all states and not just the cream at the top and
ignoring everyone else who does not think like they do and vote
like they do.
My heart goes out to the state of Essax devastated by a civil
war and while we do believe they need our assistance we have a
President who over stepped her mark. She did not create a bill
to help fund the rebuilding of Essax she just took. Took from us
and took from you. Why did she not take the money out of the
budget of the NCSA Defence. It was a key promise that she has
yet to fulfil. Many promises but nothing is bearing fruit.
While we live in fear of constant war she has turned a blind eye
to the military aggression of certain states and as we speak
looks to ally with them. How many states must crumble before
their is action? How many men, women and children must die to
satisfy the war machines of the NCSA. It should be a time of
being fruitful. We the people want peace but our members in
Congress either are to weak or turn a blind eye. We would have
the numbers to bring positive change. It just takes 1 to start
a snowball affect of I dont want our states to be like this
anymore.
My hope is this, that our NCSA Congress will stand up and unite
against tyranny and tyrants. I hope for a better NCSA. Where
friendship and harmony is more powerful than the tyrants and
their business of war. A NCSA where one can worship their god,
goddess or animal deity of their choice. Where one can have a
booming state where they are supported not crushed under the
heel of big government and corrupt officals. Where we have a say
where our taxes go and where every child has the right to exist
without fear of death from bombing campaigns.
I believe in this hope. I hope you do too."
Cardinal Jack Portland walked off the state as hundreds gathered
to their feet in applause.

Executive Orders are controversial because they allow the
President to make major decisions, even law, without the consent
of Congress. This, of course, runs against the general logic of
the Constitution -- that no one should have power to act
unilaterally.
However if created it can come up for Judical Review and the
Courts can strike it out.
