DEN Attack on Columbia
DIR By: Columbia
Date: September 25, 2015, 8:08 pm

Oxford, Northern Columbia, Near Georgetown
Columbia
USSDEN Missile Strikes
As the missiles pierced through the sky they struck down in
Oxford. Shambles and ruckus and screams and fear could be heard
throughout the region of Oxford County. It has left the entire
county in ruins. Buildings are destroyed and the county of
roughly 3,500 people have faced casualties of around 889 and
injuries so far up to 1,450. The Mayor of Oxford George
Patterson (J) left remarks following the bombings. Many of the
men who lost farm land and housing have entered into the
Colombian Volunteer forces. The Oxford Local Army is expecting a
increase in soldiers. Oxford military bases on the outskirts
were also hit with heavy fire. And damage was done. Around 2,400
men were stationed inside Oxford, non resident, and only around
600 survived and many sustained injuries. Governor Preston
called upon actions from other states saying: "We're gonna go no
where with militaristic states dive bombin us." Preston and
others including George Patterson have called for diplomatic
cease fires. It has also now been confirmed citizen casualties
are actually own to 24, while previous numbers were false. over
800 though were injured.

> This evening, missiles struck in Oxford and the nearby area,
it's left the town in shambles, our farmlands are destroyed, our
buildings have been burnt to smithereens. I only hope that we as
a state and members of the UCA can stand strong against the
aggressive attacks. I call that we look into diplomatic ways to
solve our problems.

Kent, Southern Columbia, Ashford County, Coastline
The Mayor of Ashford County Drew Gillie (J) has called upon the
Governor to make a strong response. Ashford County, especially
the city of Kent near Fort Davis, are against Secession. Gillie
was the first Jefferson Party member elected there in 12 years
given the towns Industrialist, Christian Left Leanings. The
County has roughly 20,450 people as one of the largest and is a
mainline producer of war equipment. Gillie stated that he will
beef up shoreline security at the request of the Governor.

OOC: Enduranca, this is Colombia's response too Caos's massive
missile strikes, which Caos posted on Colombia's secession
thread in Congress.

have declared this to be a state of national emergency. With the
Spartans protesting in the streets, and the Columbians seceding,
I have ordered my military to be mobilized. All cities are under
a state of Martial Law. The USSDEN has declared total, complete,
and unconditional warfare upon the rogue state of Columbia. May
God have Mercy on his soul.

1st Expeditionary Corps
The president stepped down on the screen of the TV the men were
watching, causing the entire room to be silenced. They knew that
this was happening, and the next video was a news coverage of
the UCA secession. The next thing that came, then, was a loud
Klaxon blaring in the breakroom, startling a few of the newer
soldiers who had volunteered there, thinking it would be an easy
assignment.

"F***, man!" A private shouted out, standing up. He looked over
at his Lieutenant standing with him, and shook his head. "F***.
I thought this was going to be an easy thing."
"Easy? This IS easy. You should see the bases on our other
lines." The Lieutenant said, and put his coffee down, running
out the door with the rest of the troops. The sirens were still
blaring, meaning that some of the more urgent and priority
troops were being called to their positions. Lieutenant Ryan
knew that. And he was afraid. Not of the actions, lord knew. But
of the possible reactions from other states. He had a feeling
this would be a big war.
*****
"Targets are locked into place. Coordinates are locked in, sir."
A voice came from over the communications, and Field Marshal
Schaumberg looked up at the screen, watching a few known
military bases of Columbia start glowing, targeted by the
obviously large missiles. They hadn't launched yet from their
positions in the forests, but the bombers had in fact taken off
for the enemy, he knew.
The place was roaring as he heard the afterburners of fifteen
massive B-4 Bear supersonic bombers pushing their massive
fuselages off the tarmac, and into the skies. It was followed by
less loud, but equally powerful, F-8 Bobcats rocketing away from
their positions on the fast launching runways. The Bobcats,
loaded with cluster munitions, came up as targeting the enemy
front lines. The Bears, all fifteen, would be targeting the
largest superfarms in his nation.
"Sir, TELs are into their positions. We've got confirmation from
the crews that they're ready to fire, sir." Another voice came,
and Schaumberg nodded, leaning back. The hardest part about
being him, was ordering the death of hundreds.
"Launch all missiles. Wipe them out." He ordered, and looked up.
The order was given with much excitement and flurry, and
suddenly forty five dots appeared on the screen.
"Missiles launched, missiles launched."
*****
The forty five TELs had their backs aimed up at the sky, when
the order had came in to launch. Within a few seconds, they
pressed the red buttons on their consoles, and the roar of the
massive rocket motors of the twenty Stones and Twenty Five
Tetrarch ballistic missiles as they shot into the sky. The smoke
trails extended past the TELs, arcing towards the enemy. They
were less than five minutes out.

Occ.
Columbia ask Congress for assistance.
Its getting tiring that people want realistic. And yet forgo
taking this to Congress for discussion first And go straight
to war and pretty much firebomb a city as their first reaction.
Dropping bombs on Japan was discussed first as was bombing Pearl
Harbor. We are not seperate countries. We are states bound by
similar ideals. If people wish to be seperate nations maybe that
needs to be discussed. Hell even the war on Afghanistan and Iraq
was discussed first. We have our state governments but we have
the NCSA government also if people have forgotten.

President Heath had this to say on the action, "I, with full
support of the Spartan Congress, are sending aid via an unarmed
aircraft carrier and transports full of medical supplies, water,
imperishable food, blankets, and more from the Spartan trade
harbor in Turkduchen to aid the citizens of Columbia that have
been bombed. Also coming are engineers and doctors to help care
and construct living areas for the people that have been
displaced. I also strongly condemn the aggressive state of DEN
for attacking innocent people. A full embargo is being put into
effect against USSDEN until their unwarranted attacks start."

Governor Preston thanks its UCA ally for the support after the
Oxford Bombings. Many families are now without their sons and
fathers and homes and citizens have been killed.

and not Cities...
