Columbia Ordination of Secession From The Union

AN ORDINANCE to dissolve the union between the State of Columbia
and other States united with her under the compact entitled "The
NeoConfederate States of America"
The people of the State of Columbia, in convention assembled, do
ordain and declare, and it is hereby ordained and declared, as
follows, to wit:
Section 1. That all the laws and ordinances by which the said
State of Columbia became a member of the Federal Union of the
NeoConfederate States of America be, and the same are hereby,
repealed, and that all obligations on the part of the said State
or the people thereof to observe the same be withdrawn, and that
the said State doth hereby resume all the rights, functions, and
powers which by any of said laws or ordinances were conveyed to
the Government of the said NeoConfederate States, and is
absolved from all the obligations, restraints, and duties
incurred to the said Federal Union, and shall from henceforth be
a free, sovereign, and independent State.
Section 2. That so much of the first section of the seventh
article of the constitution of this State as requires members of
the Legislature and all officers, executive and judicial, to
take an oath or affirmation to support the Constitution of the
NeoConfederate States be, and the same is hereby, abrogated and
annulled.
Section 3. That all rights acquired and vested under the
Constitution of the NeoConfederate States, or under any act of
Congress passed, or treaty made, in pursuance thereof, or under
any law of this State, and not incompatible with this ordinance,
shall remain in force and have the same effect as if this
ordinance had not been passed.
Section 4. That the people of the State of Columbia hereby
consent to form a federal union with such of the States as may
have seceded or may secede from the Union of the NeoConfederate
States of America, upon the basis of the present Constitution of
the said United States, except such parts thereof as embrace
other portions than such seceding States.
Thus ordained and declared in convention the 24th day of
September, in the year of our Lord 2015

1st Expeditionary Corps
The president stepped down on the screen of the TV the men were
watching, causing the entire room to be silenced. They knew that
this was happening, and the next video was a news coverage of
the UCA secession. The next thing that came, then, was a loud
Klaxon blaring in the breakroom, startling a few of the newer
soldiers who had volunteered there, thinking it would be an easy
assignment.

"Fuck, man!" A private shouted out, standing up. He looked over
at his Lieutenant standing with him, and shook his head. "Fuck.
I thought this was going to be an easy thing."
"Easy? This IS easy. You should see the bases on our other
lines." The Lieutenant said, and put his coffee down, running
out the door with the rest of the troops. The sirens were still
blaring, meaning that some of the more urgent and priority
troops were being called to their positions. Lieutenant Ryan
knew that. And he was afraid. Not of the actions, lord knew. But
of the possible reactions from other states. He had a feeling
this would be a big war.

"Targets are locked into place. Coordinates are locked in, sir."
A voice came from over the communications, and Field Marshal
Schaumberg looked up at the screen, watching a few known
military bases of Columbia start glowing, targeted by the
obviously large missiles. They hadn't launched yet from their
positions in the forests, but the bombers had in fact taken off
for the enemy, he knew.
The place was roaring as he heard the afterburners of fifteen
massive B-4 Bear supersonic bombers pushing their massive
fuselages off the tarmac, and into the skies. It was followed by
less loud, but equally powerful, F-8 Bobcats rocketing away from
their positions on the fast launching runways. The Bobcats,
loaded with cluster munitions, came up as targeting the enemy
front lines. The Bears, all fifteen, would be targeting the
largest superfarms in his nation.
"Sir, TELs are into their positions. We've got confirmation from
the crews that they're ready to fire, sir." Another voice came,
and Schaumberg nodded, leaning back. The hardest part about
being him, was ordering the death of hundreds.
"Launch all missiles. Wipe them out." He ordered, and looked up.
The order was given with much excitement and flurry, and
suddenly forty five dots appeared on the screen.
"Missiles launched, missiles launched."

The forty five TELs had their backs aimed up at the sky, when
the order had came in to launch. Within a few seconds, they
pressed the red buttons on their consoles, and the roar of the
massive rocket motors of the twenty Stones and Twenty Five
Tetrarch ballistic missiles as they shot into the sky. The smoke
trails extended past the TELs, arcing towards the enemy. They
were less than five minutes out.

Sparta also ratified this ordinance and quietly leaves the
Union. However, they call for peace and diplomatic talks to
start before any violence.

DEN has cut all ties with Sparta, and has placed an embargo on
all Spartan and Columbian goods, and has further buffed the
defenses of DEN.
