OOC: Except now it's dead weight once it's lost it's fuel, and
it has to be accelerated to a certain speed before being
activated, as well as being only experimental at this moment. It
also looses it's use after a certain altitude.

OOC: I'm not an astrophysicist, so I won't pretend to understand
the jargon, but its very complicated.
What will be included on the current design?

OOC: That would be expensive and dangerous. Why not just use the
Shuttle program, then? Utilizing a hose for refueling, it could
be autonomous, and connect to the ship, which would have a
large, extra fuel tank underneath for it's rockets. OR, you
could use a normal rocket.

I already suggested a refueling station and I don't think
they're in for it, even though the benefits of one would be huge
as most fuel is used in the atmosphere.

OOC: It would also be impractical. How would you get the extra
fuel up over and over? How often would it be used? Who would man
it? What vessel brings THEM provisions?
Like I said, just go with the normal idea they proposed. Or,
conversely, a single stage vehicle. I've already got an idea.
You can also use nuclear propulsion...

Can you give us some stats on it? That would be helpful. Main
points are the engines and weight.

"ARTEMIS is a 3-stage launch vehicle- or will be. The four
boosters, stages one and stages two are solid-fuelled- we can't
control them once they're ignited, but they're very efficient.
The third stage is a liquid cryonic engine.
"As for weight, we're looking for a launch weight of 800 tons...
but, with this configuration, we could lift 11,000 kilograms
into geostationary orbit, even more for low earth."
