For the lack of having a picture here it is. What everything
will do as it stands will be decided here. If anything should be
added, please inform me. It is to be noted that this is just
encompassing the 17th Century, 18th Century will be established
later.
At the time of this period they're are three primary means of
Government, Monarchy, Constitutional Monarchy, and the Republic.
Each of these effects your relationship with the denizens of
your society, to simplify things I've broken it down into two
simple groups, the wealthy and the poor. Monarchies class is
divided as so, the peasants ie. the everyday worker and the
backbone of society, and the nobility ie. the posh pieces of
garbage that will most likely become the scientists,
philosophers, and generals of your country. For a Republic there
is the Lower Class, same as above, and the Middle Class, shop
owners, etc., etc. A Republic is comprised of the people, and
therefore, has generous relations with the people they feel less
oppressed because their voices matter. In an Absolute Monarchy,
nothing you do will be contested, however the citizens could
feel repressed if you are not popular or not listening to their
demands. A Constitutional Monarchy is a compromise between the
two.
Infrastructure and Economics will be tied in closely. Having
even the most simple of paved roads existing in your provinces
boosts trade, or rather the speed at which things travel, money
from trade will be generated at every turn (more about that in a
minute) taxes are also important for raising armies, building
buildings, the list goes on. Having the appropriate buildings
and knowhow to build ships, whether for trading or for militant
purposes, are also important, it would be very difficult to
construct a Ship-of-the-Line if you didn't have a shipwright, or
a dedicated construction center.
Warfare will be resolved with three options, Auto-Attack/Defend,
Attack/Defend, or Retreat. Auto means that I will conduct the
battles for you, through a complex system of variables I will
decide the outcome, Attack/Defend will let you as a player
assume control of the battle and a map will be fetched to
conduct the militant endeavor in real time. Retreat says what it
does, but it should be noted that retreating is ineffective if
you have no where to go (ie. if your on a small island, backed
into a literal corner, or sieged inside of a city. It should be
noted that leaders are expected to die often, whether it be in
battle, an assassin's blade, or Father Time himself running his
clock. Battles in this time are mainly fought in attrition
(throw lots of numbers and hope you win, or until morale breaks
and people run) it would be useful to brush up on this kind of
warfare and strategies to maximize your effectiveness in battle.
However this does not always mean the larger forces win,
tactical maneuvering, guerilla styled offenses, or other forms
of unconventional warfare are all options available.
Culture its pretty much as it sounds, build things, write
things, discover things, spread religion, etc. This will help
you stabilize provinces you've captured, or counter to that
convince the citizens of other Nations to join yours.
I think that should be it, any complaints or suggestions, or
changes should be left below.

I was thinking it would have more structure to it, and it would
be better if the two aggressors could meet at the same rough
time and do it together, I'm trying to solve the issue where
battles would take numerous days, because as I realize that I
didn't leave a thing there saying this, turns will be every full
day IRL and 4 turns makes 1 year in game. Unless people are
vehemently against this, I will change it, but I'm trying to
give it a harder structure so that it could progress at a
reasonable pace, 200 years is a lot of time.

No, I really like what you wrote and think its a good idea. I'm
just clarifying how fighting is going to work.

As to how research is generated and other stuff, I really don't
know, I'm going to do a bit of thinking and research into other
games I'm basing this off of, and we'll see where this goes from
there.
I'm sorry you say that Columbia, but I assure you it only looks
like a wall of text because it is, when its actually up and
running everything will be simpler I assure you.

Well, if people just wouldn't be so whiny over the Rp's it
wouldn't last for days. I really don't think we need this.

Well its not that simple, your talking about deploying hundreds,
if not thousands, of people even in this RP. The added structure
is to help speed things along, but your permitted to get as RP
into your men as much as you desire. Having a badass general is
a thing, or even giving speeches before a battle.

If you weren't unrealistic, hostile to people who want to help
you, stubborn as hell when people tell you about it, and
insulting, no one would complain.

Oh, then what about the whole variable fighting thing and the
numbers and the letters and y's and the graphing!!!! :'(
Lol, ignore that. I'm just expressing my heartfelt disgust
towards math.
Anyway, what did you say about the system where you decide the
outcome?
