It's forcing a state to do something that they shouldn't NEED to

That's funny. That's actually part of independence, which you're
not. You HAVE to follow laws. Just like you HAVE to pay taxes.

I'm not against it, but without this bill it will be very taxing
to unify the country without federal spending. Besides the costs
of clearing forest, going through mountains, and traversing the
land (assuming with appropriate governmental permission)
clearing the Canadian wildlands. Its a massive cost.
