       Intercontinental Railroad?
   DIR By: Enduranca
       Date: September 7, 2015, 1:06 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
With air travel only able to carry so much, and the relative
slowness of maritime shipping, Enduranca wonders about the
feasibility of a rail network linking nationstates within the
       NCSA.
The rail gauge would be the standard variant of 4 ft 8.5 inches.
Enduranca already has a developed rail network between cities,
and would be willing to construct trackage west of the Rocky
       Mountains.
The issue of unclaimed corridors would need to be addressed, but
the benefits of established rail travel outweigh most negatives.

Pretty sure that was the President's idea, however this bill has
heavy opposition because of "overreach". I wouldn't suppose
however that this would prevent us from making our own stuff.

Frijstaat opposes the president's plan to forcibly connect all
states, however, we may be interested in expanding our current
rail network to connect to the far flung reaches of the nation.

Guys, that was actually my idea. Don't hate on Diana for it.

Turkducken is currently working with the Reich to expand our
infrastructure between our two states, while I support the
President's plan for expansion. As individual effort could
       potentially bankrupt one State.

I'm okay with an Intercontinental Railroad as long as states are
able to enter it at their own will, not being forced into making
       it.

It continues to confuse me as to what the difference would be, I
don't think anyone would be directly opposed to economic
improvement to their State, and if we did it individually we
would have to cover the costs of the white areas on the map.
It's cheaper and effective, but I still think accommodations
should be made to States such as myself.

Well Turk, I don't want intercontinental railways, because then
I loose power over that specific area. You'd loose power in your
area as well. But I think that if states want to come together
and make deals, then that's cool. But a federal law stating you
must have them is morally wrong.
