PREAMBLE
The Jefferson-Antebellum Party believes in the conservative and
libertarian principles of individual freedom, personal
responsibility, free market economic policies, and a society
that respects its Creator and all the life, liberty, and
happiness He was given unto us.
Because we believe that government cannot and should not be the
solution to all the problems, Jeffersonian - Antebellum members
believe that polices that support the entrepreneurial spirit,
hard work, rewards, self-sufficiency, the stability of the
family, and places a high value of integrity on those elected
into office, as their job is to serve the people, not themselves
and the federal government.
We believe in the rule of law and the equality of all people
regardless of race, color, religion, gender, or age.
ECONOMIC PROSPERITY
The Jefferson-Antebellum Party believes in policies that support
a free market and encourage job creation as a way to help people
advance up the socio-economic ladder. We believe that to achieve
this you should have low taxes to drive jobs your way and create
incentives for economic development. We believe that things such
as taxes, regulatory policies, legal climate, education,
servitude, transportation, energy, and overall economic laws to
be left up to each indvidual states who know their state best.
TAXES
The Jefferson-Antebellum Party believes that the people, not the
government, know best how and where to spend their money. We
believe tax burdens can be too high, our tax codes too
complicated, and our tax systems unfair. We believe in policies
to benefit the taxpayer who knows best of how and what to buy
today. We believe in fair taxes for all social classes. We
support the complete overhaul of the tax code, which will put
taxes back in the hands of states, and out of the hands of the
growing federal government.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Jefferson-Antebellum Party believes the primary goal of the
national government is to keep the people of the states
protected from outside harm. This includes the protection of the
borders and preventing illegal immigration. We support state run
militias who serve for the national government. We believe that
we should always respect our veterans and that they deserve the
best as we are grateful for their works. We believe each state
has the right to form a standing military to use in times of
Defence. We do no believe in the production of Nuclear Weapons.
TRADITIONAL AND MORAL VALUES
While we believe that states have the right to make their own
laws in their own states, we believe in the following:
*Life begins at conception, regardless of age, and is a precious
gift sent from God.
*We believe that marriage is between one man and one woman and
that the institution should be protected as so. We also
recognise the sanctuary of marriage for polygamists and the gay
community, protecting their right to a civil union or marriage.
We also support the rights of people to oppose participating in
polygamists and gay marriage if their religious convictions are
in opposition.
*We support the right to bear arms in all cases, with no
restrictions.
