While Frijstaat does not have an official national anthem, Franz
von Suppé's March from Fatinitza is usually used to represent
the nation at international events (e.g. sports events or
diplomatic summits) as well as domestically (e.g. on Federation
Day). Despite numerous attempts by Frijstaaters throughout
their history to adopt lyrics to accompany von Suppé's work, the
national anthem remains without lyrics.
