       Set 10213 Space Shuttle Adventure

       10213 Space Shuttle Adventure
       [translated from a review done by me and my dad]
       [and we use the SI unit system here =P]
       One of the... smaller Exclusive set, it came a long way from
       Denmark to our humble residence.
       General info:
       Release year: 2010.
       Piece count: 1204, 3 minifigs
       Dimensions: Lenght 44 cm, wingspan 25,5 cm
       Weight: 1236 g

       The box contains a ton of bags and two instruction booklets.

       After a bit of sorting, we can see the various pieces. They're
       mostly black, white, bley and dark bley.

       Generally, we can see a lot of curved surfaces in various
       colors.
       A few things are done with stickers, but never over multiple
       bricks.
       The set is composed of a few subsections which are done
       separately:
       We start with the stand. Nothing special, but the vehicle and
       the reflectors are nice.

       The big orange solid fuel tank is the longest piece (or tallest,
       when you put it on the stand) and has a lot of SNOT.

       The most interesting part is the SNOT top:

       Lots of hidden SNOT parts inside.
       The solid rocket boosters; they use a 32 stud axle to keep them
       together. We've never seen an axle that long, but it appears in
       at least 10 other sets, including the smaller, City version of a
       space center.

       More landing gear detail:
       Minifigs; a ground crew and a male and female astronaut. The
       minfigs are simple, but have a nice classic space feel.

       using technic pins.

       The extra parts, mostly cheese and other small stuff:

       We spent 2.5 hours assembling the set including sorting and
       picture taking.
       Lots of playability, movable parts and such. However, it's quite
       brittle and can fall apart sometimes.
       Impressions:
       The set is great and large. It really looks similar to the real
       Space Shuttle. the only problem is the connection between the
       external fuel tank and the orbiter (two pretty large parts are
       connected with only two pins in plates with holes), the
       lackluster base (more like a stand) and a few ugly holes because
       of the openable bay door. Also, they forgot that we aren't in
       zero gravity conditions, so the arm can't keep the satellite
       stable.
       Same kockice su odli&#269;ne, mnogo cheeseova, dark orange
       kockica, tileova i kru�nih djelova.
       Advice: DON'T hold the complete set with only one hand,
       especially not by the orbiter, unless you want to recreate the
       troubled past of the IRL orbiter.
       Final score:: 9/10
       We can't really calculate the value for the money, since it's
       been bought in the staff shop in Billund =P
       But we highly recommend the set.

       Awesome! I have the rereleased version of this set, the Shuttle
       Expedition. I have to say it is definitely one of my favorites
       :). some of the changes they did include: Redesigned the
       satelite, changed the connection between the Canadarm and the
       satelite to a click hinge rather then a clip connection, changed
       the structure of the bay doors to be more sturdy, they are not
       snotted sideways instead of studs up and they now open on click
       hinges rather then with pins, redesigned the landing gear, added
       a dark bley strip alongside the External Tank to reinforce and
       strengthen the connection between it and the SRB's, changed the
       design of the orbiters thrusters to strengthen them, and lastly
       changed the launch pad slightly. there are lots of small minor
       changes, but they aren't really significant.

       I didn't know they redesigned it, though I did see two
       Adventures when searching for sets with the 32l axle, so I guess
       one of them was that =P
       The redesigned version sounds much stronger.

       yeah, The suttle adventure proved to be so popular among kids,
       they decided to redesign it and make it stronger for a younger
       audience.
