Besieged tower

Alright, I'll post the first MOC on this forum! Yay!

I've been working on this for a few days and a few parts aren't
quite what I wanted, mostly due to me running out of bricks,
since a lot of them are in both mine and my dad's other MOCs.
Also, there are supposed to be four flags, but two of them fell
of somewhere and I can't be bothered to look for them right now
=P
The tower is built on a 48x48 baseplate and is about half a
meter, including the base and flags. If I remember correctly,
there are 15 Vikings and 5 defenders. That's pretty much all of
my castle minifigs, but I hope that when the Kockice expo comes
in December, someone will borrow a bunch of knights and vikings
so I can have a bigger battle.

Again, I'd have some Viking crossbowmen in there if I had any
crossbows =P
Anyway, I hope you like it, and of course, comments and
criticism are welcome!

Very nice work; it really looks good, I must say. =D Nice, solid
colour scheme, everything works, and it fits the theme very

Great job, Rakoua!!!
It reminds me of a childhood fairy tale... The dimensions are
perfect, as is the scheme, and your foliage is splendid!!

I tried to put a minifig in the window but it didn't fit,
there's a support beam just under it =P

Well, how much room is there in the window? If there's just
enough for a head and a brick(And spare room for hair), then you
could have a 'silhouette' of a minifig, with just the head being
apparent; and have it seem like she was leaning out the window,
watching the battle take place, wondering if it would affect her
safety or not.

It would still probably force me to take apart the top and I'm

I love the octagonal design! I've tried various approaches to
this but never succeeded. I also liked the use of old and new
grey pieces (assuming that was intentional), it really makes the
tower look warn and used, not fresh out of the tower factory.
Anything on the inside? If not, your next challenge needs to be
adding a long spiral staircase!

The old/new grey was sorta intentional (I could have made it all
bley), but I saw that it was gonna be boring since I don't have
any headlight bricks left so I placed them randomly just to make
it seem more interesting.
And the inside is full of support beams every few bricks, I
really needed it not to fall apart on me since I'll be taking it
to an expo and if I hadn't made them, the sides would only be
connected at the top and bottom, and you know how that would
turn out =P
