Episode 10 – Complications
Airdate: Saturday 4th April 2015
Synopsis: The ship that Paladin, Swingback and Sickleclaw are
using lands in the grand plateau where New Cybertron awaits. The
trio disembark, even as the large vehicle becomes visible,
stunning them with its size. Unitus Prime, Mirage and Arcrise
step out to greet them.
Dinobot is stewing in frustration in his quarters when
Edramylia enters. The Quintesson notes that they can gain power
in other ways, but Dinobot insists that they require numbers –
they cannot afford to let the rest of their race slip away.
After a pause, Edramylia notes that he has some information
which others were attempting to keep from him. He suggests that
Dinobot attempt to keep up the façade of not knowing. Elsewhere
on Iustitia, Airazor is flicking through various interplanetary
broadcasts, evidently bored, until Shockblast fires at the
screen, shattering it. The Meganeura-bot almost complains until
he realises who it was – Shockblast teases that Airazor is
scared of him, and Airazor quips that he is not afraid of
someone knocked out so easily.
Airazor: Hey, Triggerhappy, d’you mi-
*he turns and sees that it is Shockblast*
Airazor: Oh, err, hey Shockblast. Nice shot!
Shockblast: Aww, bless. You’re scared of me?
Airazor: Nah, I’m not scared of people who get knocked
unconscious so easily.
Shockblast snarls, and asks the smaller bot if he has a
death-wish. Airazor remarks that he will die of boredom soon
enough. Dinobot steps over, stating that he has no interest in
seeing his followers die, and has a way to ease Airazor’s
boredom. Unitus Prime gives Paladin, Swingback and Sickleclaw an
abridged tour of New Cybertron, which already has over a hundred
other Cybertronians aboard. When they visit the labs, Unitus
introduces Noxa, who asks to speak with the Prime. He explains
that he has been looking into the coordinates inscribed into his
shell… and the journey comes across as being physically
impossible.
Noxa: Right, so I’ve been analysing the map given on my shell,
the coordinates that lead us to Valyssia… and, well, I’m no
expert in physics, but looking at it… it’s physically
impossible. The journey, it just can’t be done.
He adds that he suspects the full map was basically scattered
across all of the shells – the more they gather, the more they
can comprehend the map. Unitus asks Sickleclaw for hers, but she
explains that before she left the Archaicons, they gained
upgrades that prevented their extinction genes being activated.
She has no shell. Paladin notices that she is looking at Noxa’s
Hope Brace all the while. Unitus says that he shall send out a
request to gather all of the shells on the ship, and adds that
he wishes to talk with Sickleclaw about the Archaicons.
Airazor, Sawblade, Toxiclaw, Shockblast and Haywire are
gathered in the hangar of Iustitia, with Dinobot standing ahead
of them. He explains that he has learnt that a new Prime – quite
possibly Waspinator – has summoned all of the Cybertronians to a
certain location. Sawblade subtly clenches his fist upon hearing
this, though he keeps a straight face. Dinobot continues that he
shall be sending this team to investigate, intercept and
hopefully gain new Archaicons. Sawblade is to lead the team, to
the presumed coordinates of the meeting point. The Archaicon
right-hand nods, and wordlessly leads the others onto their
small ship. Edramylia asks Dinobot if he is certain that he
wishes to send Sawblade away, and the Utahraptor-bot states
that, while Sawblade is an invaluable asset, he is becoming more
difficult.
Edramylia: *via communications* I feel I must check – are you
certain that you want Sawblade to leave your company?
Dinobot: Yes. I have made great progress since accepting
Sawblade into this faction, but he is proving difficult
recently.
He adds that he trusts the Helicoprion-bot regardless, even as
the ship launches into space. Aboard the ship, Toxiclaw observes
Sawblade’s bad mood, which Airazor interprets as fear (he even
points this out to an unimpressed Shockblast). Sickleclaw is sat
with Unitus Prime and Arcrise; he asks what the status of the
Archaicons was, and she explains that they had escaped
Quintesson imprisonment, taken control of the ship, and had the
Vok upgrade them to be impervious to Necrocide’s plans. Unitus
is shocked that the Vok were involved – Sickleclaw explains that
they had contacted Scorpinax before, and used him as their
contact with events. Arcrise then asks why she left the faction,
and she explains that she became disillusioned with Dinobot
after his actions lead to the arresting.
Arcrise: What about your departure? What made you leave?
Sickleclaw: Dinobot did. Well, not Dinobot himself… what he did.
What he made me do and assured me that it was right. I believed
him until the Quintessons arrested us. That made me realise just
how much wrong we had done.
This leaves Unitus saddened, as he explains that he and Dinobot
were close friends and allies (Arcrise gently comforts him).
Sickleclaw nods, and says that she has some thoughts on why the
Archaicon leader has become the way he has.
Elsewhere, Paladin, Mirage and Swingback are sat together,
catching up on one another’s adventures. As Mirage mentions
Freeline, the bot appears, cheerily greeting Paladin and
Swingback. She informs Mirage that she has finished relocating
the remaining Hope Braces and the briefcase to her room on the
ship, and Paladin asks why Noxa has a Hope Brace. On the small
Archaicon ship, in a small room, Sawblade yells at Toxiclaw,
demanding to know if she told Dinobot about Unitus Prime. She
sneers slightly and calmly says that she did not.
Toxiclaw: No. I haven’t told him anything.
Sawblade states that it must have been Scorpinax instead, as he
uses his circular saw to take his aggressions out on the wall.
On Iustitia, Scorpinax is approached by Edramylia, who notes
that there is no privacy on the ship. The Mixopterus-bot is
confused, and is not aware of the Quintesson’s smirking organic
face. Sickleclaw explains to Unitus and Arcrise that both
Lacerator and Sawblade gradually took Dinobot down darker paths
– she believes that their influence, especially Sawblade’s, has
twisted him. However, they have done so in a way that Dinobot
himself has not noticed, believing himself only to be acting as
is necessary.
Sickleclaw: The problem is, I don’t think he knows. They’ve been
so delicate that he doesn’t realise they’ve done anything, he
thinks he’s doing what he has to do.
Freeline suddenly bursts in, with Paladin, Mirage and Swingback
in tow; she places one of the Hope Braces on Sickleclaw’s wrist,
much to Unitus’ surprise. Freeline observes that the other
members of the Thirteen are drawn towards the Braces – Noxa put
his on without thinking, and Sickleclaw was intently observing
Noxa’s. She adds that the Thirteen seem to be drawing together
naturally, so Scale, Wildfire and Andromeda may have other
members with them. In the labs, Noxa compiles various iterations
of the map to Valyssia, but notes that it is still not enough.
He stares quizzically at the image of Valyssia on the map.

Episode 11 – Knowing is Hurting, Hiding is Lying
Airdate: Saturday 11th April 2015
Synopsis: Scale’s team are fighting off another horde of
Shadows, each using their own skills and abilities to trim the
numbers down. Eventually, with the remaining Shadows forced into
one group by Ferros, Quickpaw uses an explosive to destroy them.
The team stand, panting and regaining themselves.
The Paradise Fortress endures heavy rainfall, as Rattlesoar
lounges around inside and complains that their present
endeavours are boring her. Tetsuprima immediately counters that
they have an innate duty to protect reality through conquest,
and Rattlesoar remarks that she simply imagined that it would be
more engaging than it is turning out to be. Wartiger backs her
up on this, stating that he would rather be conquering himself
than letting their Shadows spread across worlds – Tetsuprima
reminds them that they must conserve their energy and only
attack Cybertronians.
Wartiger: She’s right. We’re supposed to be conquering, and all
we’re doing is sitting here while an army of walking shadows
does the leg work. We should be out there ourselves!
Tetsuprima: No. It would take us far too long, even with our
power. We’re to rest unless there are Cybertronians to
terminate.
The leader then turns to Firegrowl, asking if he too has any
reservations. The tech-head looks up from his monitors, and asks
the others if they have any recollection of their origins.
Tetsuprima and Rattlesoar have no answer; Wartiger remarks that
they came from the Paradise box, prompting Firegrowl to note
that he meant before that. The bruiser questions why it matters,
and Firegrowl returns to his work without response. Elsewhere,
Scale’s team are resting around a campfire – Wildfire is in the
midst of probing Quickpaw and Umbraven about their journey, with
Quickpaw doing most of the talking as she explains the Debt
Collector’s attack. Scale changes the course of discussion,
noting that they cannot hope to keep up with the Paradise Four’s
conquests. They need to attack at the source and take out the
enemy. Andromeda points out that this is easier said than done,
what with the four being notably strong.
Andromeda: Well, sure, but that’s not so easy when there’s six
of us regular bots and four of them with their level of power.
Smiling, Wildfire suggests they all get to know one another
better (specifically considering the new three members) and
increase their unity and teamwork. Scale sighs at this
suggestion, but Andromeda and Quickpaw are both interested, and
Wildfire asks who will go first.
Tetsuprima watches a galactic map as another planet falls under
their control – he smiles confidently, as Firegrowl enters the
room. The smaller bot explains to Tetsuprima that he suspects
there is more to their purpose than they believe, and that they
must have had some form of existence before the Paradise box. He
begins theorising that they all lived lives before, died, and
were chosen by some higher power to be reborn as they are now,
but Tetsuprima dismisses this. The leader makes clear that he
cares only for their present duty, and not their origins.
Tetsuprima: Firegrowl, I want you to understand this: I don’t
care where we came from, or why. We have a duty to fulfil, and
that is all that matters to me.
After a moment of thought, Firegrowl apologises and heads off
again. Andromeda is finishing her life-story, noting that, after
the incident with Cetus, she has spent her time with Scale,
Wildfire and the rest of their old team. Quickpaw then begins
her story, noting that she is willing to share this for the sake
of trust: she grew up on a colony, though she visited Cybertron
to study chemical theories. She soon returned to her colony, but
grew tired and started to travel around. That was when she met
Pad, a young fembot who grew attached to Quickpaw and began to
model herself after her. Soon enough, she was struggling to
support and protect the both of them, and Debt appeared,
offering her a position in a newly-formed team called DisRupt.
Scale comments that he had heard of them – guns-for-hire, sent
to take out people with ruthless efficiency.
Scale: Ah.
Quickpaw: Ah?
Scale: I’ve heard of DisRupt. New-age gang, a bunch of
guns-for-hire. If someone wanted a job done quickly and cleanly,
you were the go-to. Pricey, but efficient and ruthless.
Umbraven is surprised (and quite hurt) by this, as are Wildfire
and Umbraven; Quickpaw notes that she feels no remorse for
killing people, as it is simply her job. Ferros calls her a
monster and walks off, while Quickpaw, unfazed, adds that she
has to provide for Pad, and being a member of DisRupt is
perfectly suited to her with her temperament and skills.
Umbraven bows her head in disappointment, as Quickpaw remarks
that DisRupt were on a mission when a shell generated around her
neck and everyone else collapsed.
Deep in the Paradise Fortress, Rattlesoar is experimenting with
various instruments, only to be interrupted by a knocking on the
door. The fembot, annoyed, allows the intruder in – Firegrowl
enters, and asks her if she is curious about their origins. She
sneers, questioning if this is why he interrupted her, before
prompting him to continue. Firegrowl explains that Tetsuprima
and Wartiger are focused only on conquest, but he feels that
there is more to their existence. The key to understanding that,
he feels, is to uncover their origins. Rattlesoar turns away for
a moment, and says that she agrees, adding that her curiosity is
why she is so bored with their situation.
Rattlesoar: Yeah. You’re right, and I want to know too. That’s
probably why I’m so bored with following orders we weren’t
directly given.
Leaving, Firegrowl asks that she not mention this to the others,
and that he shall work on theories as to their origins. Umbraven
explains her past to the rest of the Maximals: she spent her
early years on Cybertron, before joining a small exploratory
crew who travelled from world to world. Gradually, new members
joined, the team’s dynamics shifted, and Umbraven came to feel
like an outsider as smaller units began to develop.
Umbraven: But then… I suppose it was like your crew. People
started joining as we travelled. More and more people, and the
thing is, few left, no one died, the numbers kept going up and…
little groups started to form. Everything changed over time.
I’ve always been pretty quiet, so I ended up on the fringes. I
watched it all fall apart.
Backstabbing began to stir up, and she grew anxious until Debt
appeared to her, offering her sanctuary amidst a peaceful
colony. She looks briefly, sadly, at Quickpaw as she states that
she has kept to herself since, until the colony was all but
wiped out with the extinction. Wildfire turns to Ferros,
standing off on his own, and says that it is his turn; the
elephant-bot refuses, saying that he has no interest in
divulging his past. Andromeda points out that they have shared
all of theirs, but Scale silences her, stating that Ferros has
the right to remain quiet if he chooses. He adds that they shall
plan their attack tomorrow, and suggests they rest for now, even
as Umbraven gives Quickpaw another cold look.

Andromeda – Daniela Bobadilla
Scale – Ron Perlman

Episode 12 – Quantum Streams, side A
Airdate: Saturday 18th April 2015
Synopsis: The Dawn Katana travels through a light dust-field;
the A.I. explains in detail the composition of the field, as the
crew pay little attention (Ripple looks at her syringe, deep in
thought). Suddenly, the small orb given to them by Prophecy
glows vividly, encompassing the entirety of the ship.
Sickleclaw is sat on a bench in a plaza within New Cybertron,
which several floors of the ship overlook – Paladin approaches
her, and asks if she is feeling any better. The Velociraptor-bot
shakes her head, stating that does not feel that it is her
responsibility to be a member of the Thirteen. She explains her
past as a runt and an outcast, but Paladin brushes this off by
observing how far she has come.
Sickleclaw: Yeah, well, I was no one for the longest time. I was
basically a runt. No one wanted me around and they wound up
hating me.
Paladin: And look at you now. Look where you are, what you’ve
seen. Think about how much you mean now.
She reminds him that this was as an Archaicon, just as the Dawn
Katana appears in the plaza with an intense flash of light.
Hummingstreak, Ripple, Straight-Aim and Medusa immediately
disembark, and state hurriedly that they have to speak to Unitus
Prime. A fleet of ACL and Quintesson ships loom over the planet
– Giaseqen informs the Quintessons that they are ready to engage
the new strain of cosmic rust that they have engineered, and the
head Quintessons observes that he is considering trying the ACL
for their actions despite their alliance. The ACL’s political
leader assures him that this is for the best, only for an
intense blast of energy to fire up from the planet’s surface and
straight through the fleet. In his large quarters, Unitus Prime
questions what the blast was, as it seemingly originated from
New Cybertron, just as Paladin, Sickleclaw and the new arrivals
enter. Hummingstreak, Ripple and Straight-Aim attempt to
explain, in garbled fashion, that the ACL and the Quintessons
are set to attack and that they are here to help.
Hummingstreak: So we’re here-
Ripple: They’re about to attack!
Hummingstreak: Yeah, the-
Straight-Aim: We’re here right now-
Ripple: The ACL and the Quintessons-
Hummingstreak: And we’re here to help you!
Straight-Aim: You’re going to be under attack.
Unitus asks if they were the ones who caused the blast, and they
are unsure. Mirage contacts Unitus at this point, informing him
that the amassed fleet is quickly regaining itself and heading
down towards them. The Prime observes that this may be the day
that New Cybertron flies.
The small Archaicon ship approaches the ACL and Quintesson
fleet, which Shockblast immediately notes to be in an obvious
panic. Airazor asks if they are certain the gathering
Cybertronians are here, and Sawblade questions why else the ACL
and Quintessons would be gathered. They quickly pilot their ship
through the gap in the fleet – the head Quintesson questions why
one of their ships would act on its own, and Talenra corrects
him, recognising the Archaicon signal from it.
Head Quintesson: Who has acted without order?
Talenra: Heh. You’re mistaken, Quint. That’s not one of yours… I
can detect Archaicon stench.
He immediately leads his own branch of the fleet after the
Archaicons’ ship, against Giaseqen’s orders. Snarling, the
political leader commands the fleet to begin its advance on the
planet below. Unitus Prime has the other five members of the
present Thirteen, Arcrise, the current Dawn Katana crew and
Freeline gathered in the bridge of New Cybertron – Ripple is
talking with Noxa, explaining the effects of the Red Rain, and
questions what can be done about it. She is surprised to learn
that Noxa is the one who cultivated Necrocide’s current form; he
expresses that Prophecy’s makeshift method may be the best for
now, but he shall work on a more thorough process for her.
Suddenly, the Archaicons’ ship hovers into view through the
windshields, and Sawblade activates contact with the larger
ship. He immediately cheers the proof that Waspinator is indeed
the new Prime, and questions why he feels the need to
unilaterally gather every Cybertronian.
Sawblade: Aha! I was right! You’re the new Prime, hey
Waspinator? Good for you. That’s hilarious. Do you think that
gives you the right to gather every one of our people around you
like you’re the one in the right?
Sickleclaw steps forward, snarling that the Archaicons have no
right to influence their race – Sawblade laughs at her having
left the Archaicons and joined the Maximals, but Paladin and (to
the Raptor-bot’s surprise) Swingback step up in her defence.
Before the Archaicons can continue, their ship is knocked down,
and Arcrise reports that the fleets are advancing.
New Cybertron begins to lift, just slightly, from the ground as
the combined ACL and Quintesson fleets attack from all angles –
the blasts of cosmic rust strike the ship to no effect, and the
head Quintesson immediately questions their methods. Giaseqen
explains that the rust is adapted to eat through organic metal
in seconds, but their attacks at present are an attempt to force
the Cybertronians out of their ship. Medusa notes that they
cannot simply take the barrage of attacks, before quipping that
everyone is obviously ignoring her anyway.
Medusa: You’ll have to do something, you know. No point just
taking all of this fire. … not that anyone’s listening to me.
Unitus asks the Dawn Katana crew about the orb: Hummingstreak
explains, as best as he can, that it is tying himself to
himself. Straight-Aim adds that it is extremely powerful, and
Unitus asks if they would be willing to use it, if possible,
against their opponents (for wont of any other options).
Hummingstreak confirms this, and immediately flies off, much to
Ripple’s concern. All the while, Straight-Aim turns to Unitus
and says that he has a request. Paladin comforts Sickleclaw all
the while, though she says that she is fine. The Archaicons’
ship comes back around, launching its own attack on New
Cybertron as Sawblade smirks, only for Talenra’s ship to attack
it once again. All the while, the huge fleet continues its own
assault. Hummingstreak flies out of the gigantic cruiser,
transforming and landing down with the orb in-hand. One of the
Quintesson ships turns its focus to him, firing, but he quickly
avoids the attack, and raises the orb. The ship vanishes, as do
all of the Quintesson ships in the fleet. Witnessing this,
Giaseqen is stunned, and hesitantly orders a retreat.
Giaseqen: What…? … re-retreat. We can’t stay here. They have
some kind of power… retreat, now! That’s an order!
As New Cybertron continues rising and the ACL fleet retreats,
Hummingstreak transforms and flies back up – a blast of energy
escapes the orb, disturbing his flightpath for a moment. The
energy hits Talenra’s ship, causing it to vanish. The orb glows
vividly, and Hummingstreak vanishes – aboard the bridge, our
heroes likewise find Ripple, Straight-Aim and Medusa gone. They
remain silent, which pronounces the click of Freeline’s
briefcase unlocking itself.
On Iustitia, Edramylia finds his communications line
dead, and mutters to himself that the experiment shall continue
as he sees fit and that Dinobot shall play his part… while
Scorpinax listens to the security footage of him. Dinobot sits
on his throne all the while, contemplative.

Episode 13 – Quantum Streams, side B
Airdate: Saturday 25th April 2015
Synopsis: The Dawn Katana travels through a light dust-field;
the A.I. explains in detail the composition of the field, as the
crew pay little attention (Ripple looks at her syringe, deep in
thought). Suddenly, the small orb given to them by Prophecy
glows vividly, encompassing the entirety of the ship.
Shadows swarm through a peculiar, almost mystical town at
night, as the Debt Collector sits idly on a swing, the Shadows
paying her no mind. Ferros’ ship lands down on the town’s
outskirts – on board, Scale observes that the planet is already
swarmed with Shadows. Andromeda notes that this does not mean
they should not try to help, which Wildfire agrees with.
Quickpaw adds that they should at least see what they can do,
but that she believes it unlikely that they will succeed;
Umbraven gives her an uncomfortable stare.
Quickpaw: It’s probably a good idea to try, at least. But… it’s
not like we can do much, anyway. Right?
Before anything further can be said, an intense flash of light
sees the Dawn Katana appear in front of Ferros’ ship.
Hummingstreak, Ripple and Straight-Aim see the other Maximals in
their ship, and wave (Wildfire waves back). All the while, one
of the Shadows accidentally sets off a huge blast of energy into
the sky – until it vanishes, even as the orb on the Dawn Katana
shudders and glows. In the Paradise Fortress, Firegrowl is
researching the Paradise Boxes, including information on Ohwa,
when a signal alert pops up. He quickly minimises his research,
and investigates the alert as the others gather. Tetsuprima asks
what the alert is for, and Firegrowl explains that something
highly unusual has manifested on one of the planets that the
Shadows are in the midst of taking – something that seems to be
bending spacetime.
Tetsuprima: What’s the alert? Please tell me it’s something
worth hearing.
Firegrowl: It’s from one of the planet’s we’re taking.
Wartiger: By “we”, you mean the Shadows.
Firegrowl: Indeed. There’s a signal… one that’s on the very
edges of my understanding. It appears to be bending spacetime in
some manner.
Grunting, Wartiger comments that he presumes that is bad and
should be dealt with (Rattlesoar sarcastically praises this
observation), and Tetsuprima notes that they shall head to the
planet immediately. Both Maximal crews are stood together, and
the Dawn Katana bots attempt to explain their presence and the
impending threat to the others, in jumbled manner. Quickpaw asks
Wildfire if the trio have always been like this, just as the
Debt Collector appears.
Scale’s team immediately prepare to fight, but the Debt
Collector brushes them off (and literally knocks the weapons
from their hands with a gesture), before asking if any of them
know what planet they are on. With no certain response, the
dangerous fembot remarks that it is Zefetraia, her home world.
She, and many like her, used to live here, but now she is the
only one left.
Debt Collector: There used to be many of us here, all with
spectacular power… now I’m the only one still alive.
However, the entire town still holds many great powers… which
would be disastrous if they fell into the wrong hands. She
claims that the planet’s fate is now in their hands, giving a
look to Ferros, before disappearing instantaneously. Andromeda,
having noticed the look, asks Ferros what she means, and he
grimaces, saying that it does not matter. The others immediately
insist that, given the situation, he should explain – the large
bot roars, and loudly declares that he will tell them. He had
been fighting for the Alliance in the Total Conflict when he
caused an entire planet to be destroyed. Imprisoned for his
actions, Debt approached him, and managed to get him signed up
to a new team, the World Breakers, created to destroy planets
when necessary. Ferros had no desire to continue his actions,
but agreed to it for the sake of freedom.
Ferros: I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t want to be known for
killing worlds; I didn’t want to make a name out of it. But I
hated being in that cell. I hated imprisonment for a mistake.
Whatever I did would be punishment… I took the one that gave me
some kind of freedom.
The team abandoned the war a few months ago, and were in this
universe when the others dropped dead. Many of the Maximals are
shocked by this, while Medusa praises his ability. Scale
suggests that the Debt Collector wants him to destroy the
planet, but Ferros adamantly refuses to do so. Quickpaw notes
that they may have no other choice, as the planet must not fall
into the Paradise Four’s hands; Umbraven suddenly snaps, yelling
at Quickpaw for being so callous. Andromeda desperately tries to
stop the bickering, while Wildfire backs away, shaken. Four
coloured streaks of light rain down on the planet; Ripple
questions what they are, and Scale responds that it is the
Paradise Four.
As the four powerful bots survey the town they have landed in,
the Debt Collector approaches them. Referring to them as
machines, she suggests that they have no business here –
Wartiger attempts to attack her, but she holds him back with one
finger and telekinetically blocks his fists. She elaborates
that, one way or another, the universe will make sure they do
not take the power here.
Debt Collector: Look at it this way: there’s a lot at play right
now, a lot of possible paths. But the destination is all the
same… the power of this town will not be yours, so long as the
universe has a say.
As Wartiger steps back, the Debt Collector returns to her swing.
Rattlesoar remarks that she does not like the strange fembot, to
which Firegrowl notes he is not surprised. The tech-head bot
then notices the Dawn Katana, and observes that the ship is the
source of the spacetime-bending. As Scale’s team continues to
argue, Ripple turns to Straight-Aim and asks him his thoughts on
what to do. The stag-bot instead suggests that Ferros, Quickpaw
and Umbraven joined the others for a reason. Exasperated, Ripple
turns to Hummingstreak, who is busy focusing on the orb; Medusa
suggests they simply find another way.
Ripple: Hummingstreak, any ideas?
*he is simply transfixed by the orb*
Ripple: For the love of…!
Medusa: Wouldn’t it be better to just find another way to solve
this?
Even as the Paradise Four approach, the orb glows again, and an
entire fleet of Quintesson ships appear in the sky above. All
parties notice this, and Tetsuprima is struck with fear. He
turns to look at the Debt Collector, who is sneering up at the
ships; she then looks down, catches his stare, and fires a blast
of exotic energy at him. The Paradise Four depart instantly (the
Shadows dissolve away), and the blast is instead caught by the
orb. After a pause, Hummingstreak announces the crisis averted,
although there is obviously still tension amongst some of
Scale’s team. Scale thanks the Dawn Katana crew, and
Straight-Aim hands him three Hope Braces just as the ship and
its crew vanish – off in the distance, the Debt Collector
catches an afterimage of Prophecy, and her eyes widen in shock.
Scale orders his team to board the ship, and Umbraven heads
straight on, ignoring a hurt Quickpaw. Ferros is the last to
board.
The Dawn Katana crew find themselves back as they were
(Necrocide welcomes them back, having not travelled with them).
The orb is gone, and an image of Prophecy is stood in its place.
She explains that it was a quantum orb, needed to tie together
both parties at a crucial juncture and secure the foundations
for what is to come. She adds that she shall soon be joining the
others, and smiles before disappearing. Back at her base, she
turns to Claws, Laserbeak and the unnamed bot, asking them what
their business is.

Episode 14 – In Crystal Form
Airdate: Saturday 16th May 2015
Synopsis: New Cybertron soars away from the planet of its
creation. Unitus Prime’s team are gathered around Freeline’s
briefcase – Freeline suggests that having wearers for all but
one of the Hope Braces has caused it to unlock. She slowly opens
the briefcase, and reveals a selection of octagonal crystals…
each with an image representing one of the past Maximals.
The team are shocked, and Unitus Prime immediately starts
unpacking the crystals. There are 45 in total, each their own
unique colour and adorned with a silver beast emblem. Paladin
eyes Cross-Shot’s crystal, while Noxa observes that they seem to
fit the slots in the Hope Braces.
Noxa: They’re octagonal. Which means they probably match the
octagon slots in our Hope Braces. I mean, you probably all
noticed that. I figured I’d state it out-loud. Anyway… why are
these in a briefcase if the Braces came from a big box?
Arcrise speaks up, mentioning that she is somewhat able to
recall what was going through her mind when she manifested the
briefcase – these are Legacy crystals, which in tandem with the
Hope Braces can grant the defining powers or traits of their
lost allies. Grimacing, Paladin questions if the older Maximals
were defined solely by their powers, and walks out; Sickleclaw
goes to follow him, but Swingback beats her to it. Unitus
suggests they head to one of the training facilities to test the
crystals’ powers. The small Archaicon ship, suffering from
damage, does its best to follow New Cybertron; Sawblade curses
their lack of success, although Haywire points out that they
have already confirmed that Unitus Prime is Waspinator. The
squad leader notes that it was obvious, and that he wants to
recruit more Archaicons… or ideally, to blow New Cybertron
apart. Shockblast accepts the idea, priming his weaponry, but
Sawblade coolly informs him that even his extensive arsenal
would not be enough.
Shockblast: Blow it apart? Sounds good to me. Let’s see how well
I can do…
*he loads up all of his built-in weaponry, but Sawblade gestures
for him to stop*
Sawblade: Don’t worry, it’s not like you’d be able to do it by
yourself. Even with all those nice weapons, that ship’s just too
big.
Haywire seems a little surprised at the ease with which they
discuss mass-murder, while Airazor suggests they simply board
the ship and recruit whoever they can. Chuckling, Sawblade
snidely comments that simple suggestions from simple people are
often the best, and orders Toxiclaw and Shockblast to work on
bypassing the Transwarp firewall of New Cybertron. Airazor and
Haywire share a look of discontent all the while.
Paladin is wandering the alleys of the residential area, when
Swingback catches up with him. She asks him why the Legacy
crystals bother him, as they do not invalidate the lives the
heroes lived. The lyrebird-bot explains that the crystals
besmirch who the other Maximals were, as though the only thing
worth remembering about them is what they could do. He further
questions the need for the crystals at all, and Swingback states
that she does not know, before pointing out that the one thing
truly bothering him about this is Cross-Shot having a crystal.
Paladin: What’s the point? Why do we even need these crystals?
Swingback: I don’t know, Paladin! I don’t know, we don’t know
yet. It’ll make sense. Besides, you’re getting worked up about
all this because of Cross-Shot, aren’t you? Because of her
crystal.
Paladin remains silent, before telling Swingback to leave him
alone; she simply hugs him. In a huge training facility, Unitus
Prime and the others are stood with the briefcase. Unitus takes
the Emberscales crystal, a vivid red, and places it into the
space in his Hope Brace. He then rotates the ring surrounding
the space, which incites a series of ascending beeps akin to the
transformation sound. The Prime then generates an intense fire
around his hands – he turns to the others and expresses that
Emberscales’ crystal is evidently dragonfire. All the while,
Freeline is looking through the crystals, and finds one of
herself (or rather, the original Freeline). Mirage suggests
Unitus move on to the next crystal, but the Prime claims that he
can almost feel Emberscales’ presence while using the crystal.
Mirage: Okay, let’s try the next one, shall we?
Unitus Prime: Wait.
Mirage: What?
Unitus Prime: I can… feel Emberscales. I can feel his presence.
Just a little… but it’s like he’s stood right next to me.
Perplexed, Mirage picks up and uses Cross-Shot’s tawny crystal,
immediately observing the archer’s presence. She then furrows
her brow, and uses her blaster to hit targets far across the
facility with pin-point accuracy. Mirage notes that she can feel
Cross-Shot, and Sickleclaw suggests that the crystal grants
Cross-Shot’s keen accuracy. Noxa records this, just as Unitus
receives an alert that the ship’s Transwarp firewall has been
breached. Sawblade’s team Transwarp into the plaza, immediately
drawing attention – the Helicoprion-bot smirks, before
projecting the Archaicon insignia above them.
As a mix of panic and confusion spreads across the plaza,
Paladin and Swingback enter the area. Seeing the Archaicons,
Swingback contacts Unitus, who states that they are already on
their way (on-foot, as the Transwarp system is malfunctioning).
Paladin walks ahead all the while, calling out to the Archaicons
with his swords drawn. He tells the Archaicons that they have no
place on the ship, but Sawblade explains that they are only here
to gather anyone else who has no place.
Paladin: You have no place here, Archaicons.
Sawblade: And there are others who don’t belong here either.
We’re here to gather them.
Haywire unleashes some of her wires upon the Maximal, but he
slices cleanly through them. Sawblade questions if they really
have no right to gather more Archaicons, and Swingback chimes in
that the Archaicons are obsolete in a world where the
Cybertronian race has to band together. Unitus backs this up as
he, Mirage, Swingback, Noxa, Arcrise and Freeline appear; he
adds that he would play things democratically, but the
Archaicons should be here with the rest of the race, rather than
continuing down their independent path. Indeed, no Cybertronians
present step forward, and the Prime calmly asks the Archaicons
to leave. Sawblade smirks, stating that they shall give the
populace of the ship 24 hours to consider joining the
Archaicons, and then they shall commence their attack. Unitus
activates his dragonfire and says that they will be prepared, as
the Archaicons Transwarp away. Unitus tells the gathered
Cybertronians to think carefully about if they wish to join a
radical group.
Unitus Prime: You heard him. In 24 hours, they’ll be back. If
any of you have the tiniest desire to join them, think long and
hard about it. They’re a group of radicals; stand together with
us, or side with them. It’s your choice. Choose wisely.
Later, Unitus is in his abode when Mirage enters. He tells her
that he feels overwhelmed by his responsibility; Mirage in turn
tells him that she is still uncomfortable with being involved in
such a serious mission, but that they can rely on each other.
All the while, we see Paladin and Swingback talking as
Sickleclaw watches from a distance; Noxa returning to his lab to
find anti-Predacon graffiti on the door; Freeline curiously
looking at “her” Legacy crystal; and Arcrise staring out at
space from her abode.

Episode 15 – Justice
Airdate: Saturday 23rd May 2015
Synopsis: The fleet of Quintesson ships has spread out across
the local star system, an almighty metal barrier through space.
Aboard the ships, the faces of Scale’s team, the Paradise Four
and the Dawn Katana crew are continually being flashed up as
significant targets for trial.
There is a frosty atmosphere aboard Ferros’ ship, to the
obvious discomfort of Wildfire and Andromeda. The bobcat-bot
attempts to lighten the mood by telling jokes, to no avail
(although both Andromeda and Quickpaw smile, the latter trying
to hide it). The ship lands down, and Scale wordlessly leads the
team out – he then informs them that, with Quintessons around,
they shall no doubt come under threat from them. He suggests
that they should try to stay out of their way, and the
Quintessons shall likely deal with the Paradise Four.
Scale: It’s best to stay out of their way. They’ll probably be
after the Paradise Four too – we’ll let them handle one another.
All the Maximals need to do is keep an eye on things. Quickpaw
suggests that they have the expertise to blow up the entire
fleet, and Umbraven lowers her head in frustration while Ferros
tells her not to make light of his past. Furrowing his brow,
Scale suggests they spend the night in pairs – he asks Umbraven
to come with him, Wildfire to partner with Quickpaw, and for
Andromeda to accompany Ferros. The bots are a little stunned,
but break off into their pairs and head off in separate
directions. The Paradise Four are gathered in the Fortress, as
Firegrowl researches the Quintessons. Tetsuprima is frustrated
that they were unable to take Zefetraia, though Rattlesoar
insists that they shall be able to dominate it in time.
Tetsuprima: We could’ve had that world. We ran away too soon.
All we’ve done is let ourselves fail.
Rattlesoar: Give it time. One day, we’ll rule everything.
Firegrowl explains the Quintessons’ practices to the group, and
Wartiger is immediately incensed, observing this malpractice of
justice as fundamentally wrong. Immediately, Tetsuprima puts a
hand out, gesturing for Wartiger to remain calm, and asks
Firegrowl what can be done to counter the Quintessons. The
computer expert ponders aloud the possibility of sending in a
large number of Shadows, and Tetsuprima agrees to this, although
he adds that they should spend a little time preparing beyond
that.
Wildfire and Quickpaw walk through a lightly-forested area,
with him asking her about her time in DisRupt. She talks fondly
of it, highlighting some of their most daring missions, which
Wildfire finds daunting. Quickpaw in turn is stunned by the
incidents that he has been involved with, and praises his
calibre. The young bot is flustered by this, but Quickpaw
insists that he is stronger than he believes.
Wildfire: Wh-What? What? Really? What? You mean- you really
mean- you really really-?
Quickpaw: Yeah! For sure! You’re much stronger than you think.
You’ve got to be, look at everything you’ve done!
After a moment of silence, the fembot says that she is unsure as
to why Umbraven is so upset with her. Wildfire thinks, and
suggests that she is uncomfortable with Quickpaw’s past –
Quickpaw questions why that should matter now, and Wildfire asks
her if her past still matters to her. Quickpaw says it does, but
because it is her own past. The her befriending Umbraven is
unrelated to the her in DisRupt. Wildfire suggests that Umbraven
does not see it that way. Elsewhere, Scale and Umbraven are at a
rocky clearing – the leopard gecko-bot points out to Umbraven
that he was a mercenary before, and asks her how she feels about
it. The raven-bot attempts to brush it off as unimportant, but
Scale probes further, and she coldly says that she is not
interested in murderers. The older bot points out that he is
much more than just that one role, and that people often are.
Scale: I’m not just a mercenary, though. I’m a lot more complex
than that. People usually are.
Umbraven says that she does not want to discuss it, but Scale
says that she must realise that Quickpaw – and the others – are
not defined by who they are. They come to her openly, as they
are, and she needs to accept that friendship or she will remain
alone. Umbraven turns away from him, knees to her chest, as
Scale smiles faintly. He tells her that they must prepare to
begin a struggle against both the Paradise Four and the
Quintessons too, and she gives a soft affirmative noise.
In a small cove, Andromeda and Ferros are sat on the sand.
Andromeda tells Ferros about the beach that the Debt Collector
took her to, and shows him the spiral on her hand. He asks its
purpose, and she tells him that it allows her to control the
properties of anything… however, while she often forgets it is
there, she is also afraid of using it. Ferros asks why, and she
explains that she is just a young Cybertronian swept up in
reality-spanning conflict. The mech nods, and points out that
everyone starts off innocent and unexperienced. She in turn
tells him that he should not feel guilty for destroying worlds –
he immediately notes that she is just saying that, and she
confesses as much.
Andromeda: Look… you shouldn’t feel guilty for destroying
worlds.
Ferros: You’re just saying that to make me feel better.
Andromeda: Yeah, thought you might see through it…
She adds, however, that he was used as a weapon, and even though
he was the one destroying the worlds, the people who ordered him
to do so are truly responsible. The older bot says that he
knows, but it does not change what he has caused. He then tells
her that she needs to step up more – she is capable of being a
great warrior. She tells him that she is not sure that she wants
to be a warrior.
Andromeda: Heh heh… thanks. Dunno if I want to be a warrior,
though…
The Quintesson fleet steadily sweeps through the star system:
two Quintessons discuss the possible locations of their three
target groups, just as the ship is rocked heavily. Shadows
generate from the Quintessons’ shadows, as well as the shadows
of the objects around them. The entire fleet starts to break
formation, even as the shadows of the ships on a planet below
become massive, demonic Shadows themselves. The Paradise Four
watch from the top of their fortress, and Tetsuprima notes that
they shall make sure that the Quintessons know what they are up
against. Some of the ships start to be torn apart, as the four
smile at the sight.

Episode 16 – The Greater Good
Airdate: Saturday 30th May 2015
Synopsis: Outside the ACL citadel, Prophecy, Claws, Laserbeak
and the unnamed bot are hiding beneath a shielding device.
Prophecy asks if Claws is sure that she wishes to break into the
citadel, and the darker fembot nods, stating that there is
business that only they can do. Sighing, Prophecy stands,
bringing Claws and the unnamed bot to their feet (Laserbeak
perched on Claws’ shoulder all the while), and proceeds to
chronoskim with them.
The group find themselves deep within the citadel; Prophecy
explains that they are within the building’s maintenance
network, and that they should be able to make their way up to
Giaseqen’s office. She goes to lead the others off (Claws and
her partner share a look), but then turns back, and says that
she needs a name with which to address the unnamed bot. He asks
if this is really the time to choose a name for him, and Claws
suggests Parallax. Prophecy agrees to this as she heads off,
although the newly-named Parallax is not entirely certain of it.
Prophecy: Parallax works. Come on, then.
*she starts to walk off*
Parallax: Erm… Parallax? Isn’t that kind of specific to- well, I
guess it’s no worry, but…
On Iustitia, Edramylia is running basic protocols on the ship,
as Scorpinax approaches him, asking for his assistance in making
sense of the maintenance scan results. The Quintesson states his
surprise that the signals expert needs his help, but obliges.
Deeper within the ship, Dinobot is stood on the data-core,
holding a large pole-like probe in one hand. He injects it into
the core, and begins interfacing directly with the data on the
ship. As the leader explores the data, he finds a large segment
missing, and snarls. Prophecy, Claws, Laserbeak and Parallax
continue through the citadel, stealthily, making sure to avoid
being seen – they reach a long secret passage and enter it.
Parallax asks Prophecy how she is so familiar with the layout of
the citadel, and she explains that she had managed to get a hold
of the blueprints. The mech fawns over her skill, while Claws
retains her focus.
Parallax: Wow… it’s like there’s nothing you can’t do! All these
powers, and you can… get… blueprints! You’re like a
one-bot-army!
Prophecy shrugs off Parallax’s praise, stating that she is
nothing special – Claws points out that they both know this is
untrue, as they reach the end of the passage. Prophecy grimaces
a little, before leaping up into the maintenance shaft above.
Claws and Parallax are surprised, and Prophecy explains that the
door of the passage opens up directly into the office of the
head of the ACL. Smiling faintly, Claws orders Laserbeak to seal
the maintenance shaft behind Prophecy, before the two head
through the door along with Parallax.
Beyond the door, Claws, Laserbeak and Parallax find an old
alien, of a similar species to Giaseqen, seated at an advanced
desk, preoccupied with something on his computer system and not
bothered by his intruders. He explains that he was aware of
their presence, and they only got as far as they did due to him
allowing it. Claws asks what he would do if they had come to
kill him, but he shrugs that suggestion off, noting that killing
him would be of no consequence compared to killing Giaseqen or
Talenra.
Claws: And what if we came here to kill you?
Nosk’yra: What would be the point? I sit here and keep
everything ticking over. If you killed Giaseqen, or Talenra,
maybe you’d have an effect on this organisation. I might matter
spiritually, but I’d be easy enough to replace.
They have obviously come for another purpose. All the while,
Prophecy hurriedly makes her way through the maintenance system
in her Aadorean wildcat form, avoiding fire from automated
defence drones as she does. Scorpinax and Edramylia are working
on the maintenance scan results, when Dinobot enters the room.
As soon Edramylia turns, the saurian bot lunges at him, slicing
off some of his tentacles with the Horizon Saber. The Quintesson
writhes, and Dinobot yells that he knows that the alien is
keeping secrets from him – secrets which he has removed from the
ship’s data-core. Edramylia bluffs that he does not know what
the Archaicon is talking about, but after another attack from
the Horizon Saber, he claims that he is performing an experiment
on behalf of a third party.
Edramylia: I have no idea what secrets you mean-
*Dinobot slashes at him repeatedly with the Horizon Saber*
Edramylia: Wait! Wait! Stop! I can… I can tell you that I have
been acting on behalf of a third party. Running an experiment,
if you will.
Dinobot looks to Scorpinax, and then asks to know more about the
experiment. Although Edramylia begins to say that he cannot
divulge any information, Dinobot adds that he will lose a
tentacle for every time he speaks without explaining. The
Quintesson remains silent, and the leader observes that he shall
continue with this rule for the foreseeable future, before
leaving the mutilated alien with Scorpinax.
Prophecy exits the maintenance system, only to be confronted by
multiple ACL soldiers and Giaseqen. The Maximal quickly explains
that Nosk’yra is in danger. All the while, Claws and Parallax
explain to Nosk’yra that they are here to remove certain
Quintesson data from the ACL computer systems. The overarching
leader asks why he should follow this request, and Parallax
insists that it is for the good of reality. Nosk’yra chuckles,
noting that he believed that was what his actions were for –
Claws elaborates that the information shall bring together all
of the major factors in this great conflict, and that the ACL’s
presence at that meeting will exacerbate matters. She adds that
she is not requesting this as a Cybertronian, but as someone
acting on behalf of reality.
Claws: Don’t be mistaken – I’m not asking this of you as a
Cybertronian. That would be in vain anyway. I’m making this
request as someone acting on reality’s behalf. I’m making sure
things play out as neatly as possible.
Chuckling, Nosk’yra accepts the request, although he says that
he shall keep the information on his personal server. Claws
thanks him sincerely, even as Giaseqen contacts him. She asks if
everything is okay, and he explains that it is, even as Prophecy
chronoskims into the room, taking Claws, Laserbeak and Parallax
and then chronoskimming out. Back under the shielding device,
Prophecy demands to know what they did. Claws simply tells
Prophecy that she should not go back to her base – that her
place is with the other Maximals. She then removes the
mind-focusing device from Prophecy’s ear, crushing it, and
proceeds to head off with Laserbeak and Parallax as a
freshly-eccentric Prophecy waves them goodbye. As Dinobot paces
the outer floors of Iustitia, an alert brings to his attention
that a ship is docking. Heading to the primary docking bay, he
is surprised to find the Dawn Katana – and doubly so when
Necrocide’s voice emanates from the Maximal ship.
Necrocide: Ah, if it isn’t the Matrix-Destroyer. So good to see
you again.

Episode 17 – Every Ounce of Darkness
Airdate: Saturday 6th June 2015
Synopsis: We cover the final scenes of the previous episode
again, as Dinobot is confronted by Necrocide’s voice from the
Dawn Katana. The Archaicon leader responds badly to Necrocide’s
greeting, and demands to know what the ship is doing here;
Necrocide responds that the vehicle is now officially a plague
ship, just as a hand presses to the windscreen from inside.
Half an hour earlier, the Dawn Katana is travelling steadily
through space. Its crew is gathered in the bridge, Ripple and
Straight-Aim discussing Earth while Medusa reads and
Hummingstreak has a quiet conversation with the A.I. As Ripple
tells Straight-Aim what little she knows of Earth – of its
variety of environments, its prosperous cities and its small
Cybertronian colony – Hummingstreak stands up, and announces
that he shall inject himself with the sample of Necrocide’s
tissue. Ripple immediately tries to convince him otherwise, but
the hummingbird-bot insists, saying that he has discussed it
with the ship and believes it to be the best plan of action for
the present.
Ripple: No.
Hummingstreak: What?
Ripple: No way. Why? Why would you want to do that? You’re
putting a part of Necrocide into your spark chamber!
Hummingstreak: Yeah, I know, right? Sounds crazy, is crazy,
probably, but y’know, we might not make it to Earth on time, or
it might speed up, something, we might die. I don’t wanna die.
I’ve been discussing it with the ship, talking about it, for a
little while now, and we’ve come to the conclusion that, well,
it’s just the best plan for the time being.
Ripple: But that medic said-
Hummingstreak: I know, but what if, Ripple? What if? Thank you
for caring, though, really, but I’m going to do it anyway.
He proceeds to inject himself, as Ripple sighs. Straight-Aim
jokingly welcomes him to the “Black Spark Club”, which
Hummingstreak quickly extrapolates upon with a mantra, a badge
design and a meeting room. Necrocide speaks up, his container
still plugged into the console, and asks if he can join the club
– both of the mechs are dismissive of him, and point out that
Prophecy broke the villain’s psionic link with the tissue
samples they have injected. Necrocide notes that this is true…
but he has spent the past two days rebuilding that link. The two
suddenly keel over, as Ripple and Medusa jump to their feet. The
lights on the ship flicker and dim, as the Valoranian adds that
he has also been spreading himself into the ship and taking over
the A.I. He reminds the fembots that, even as a “blob in a jar”,
he has incredible psychic powers… even as Hummingstreak and
Straight-Aim stand up behind them, evidently under his control.
Necrocide: I might just be a blob in a jar to you, but I still
have plenty of power. I have psionic abilities beyond what you
can imagine… and you’re in trouble.
Medusa quickly takes Straight-Aim down, but Hummingstreak’s
speed allows Necrocide to incapacitate her. Ripple flees all the
while, even as Straight-Aim recovers and follows after her.
Necrocide reminds Ripple that he is the ship now, and she is
unable to escape from him. Straight-Aim fires arrows at her as
she runs – turning a corner, she gets out her wave dischargers,
and attacks her possessed teammate as he turns the corner
himself. Knocked into the far wall, the stag-bot regains
himself, and immediately splutters that he has seen inside
Necrocide’s mind, describing it as “the darkest place I’ve ever
seen”. All the while, Medusa screams in the bridge, Necrocide
burrowing into her head. She refuses to let him enter, and he
chuckles at the strength of her will while she crawls across the
floor.
Medusa: You’re not getting in… never going back into my head…
Necrocide: *chuckling* Oh, Medusa, your will is positively
delicious! So strong. So very strong. So pointless.
Picking up a blaster, she proceeds to fire upon and destroy the
container and its contents. Necrocide laughs maniacally,
insisting that he is everywhere now and her act was pointless,
but the Predacon observes that this is not so and shoots her
syringe. The possessed Hummingstreak proceeds to knock her out,
as Necrocide comments that it does not matter anyway.
Necrocide: Hm. It doesn’t matter. I’m still in control… and
you’re mine now.
Ripple and Straight-Aim race through the ship, with the archer
asking why he cannot be told where they are going – Ripple
explains that saying it aloud would let Necrocide know, although
the villain points out that he knows where they are headed
anyway – the engine room. Straight-Aim cries out in distress as
Necrocide takes over him again; Ripple attempts to enter the
engine room, but the doors refuse to open. She instead confronts
her possessed ally again, and manages to slip past him, only to
be confronted by Hummingstreak and Medusa, both under
Necrocide’s control. They quickly overpower her, and we quickly
fade to black. Ripple wakes up in the bridge, and immediately
springs to her feet, only to stumble due to Medusa being coiled
around her legs in viper mode. She catches herself on the
windscreen, and sees Dinobot stood outside.
Stunned, Ripple bangs on the windscreen to draw Dinobot’s
attention – the Archaicon sneers, and asks Necrocide for further
information on whatever plague the ship is carrying. The
Valoranian laughs, and claims that he means himself. At that
moment, Medusa begins writhing, and transforms into robot mode.
She explains to Ripple that Necrocide can only control her while
unconscious, and even as their possessed teammates move to
attack them, the Predacon blasts through the windscreen and
drags Ripple out. Dinobot is surprised, and Medusa immediately
requests any container that blocks psionic abilities.
Dinobot: And here I thought you were ill…
Medusa: Quickly, we need something that can block psionic
abilities – preferably both ways – a container if at all
possible.
The Archaicon states that he knows of something, and calls for
Edramylia. Ripple demands to know what Medusa is doing, and she
explains that Necrocide always tries to keep his mind in one
independent form – previously the tissue in the container, and
now Ripple’s syringe. The otter-bot opens her subspace pocket
dimension, drawing her syringe out, just as Edramylia appears.
Dinobot immediately attacks him, slicing the Quintesson’s
tentacles and propulsion system off and remarking that, just as
he used the Archaicons, the Archaicons shall now use him… unless
he intends on explaining his actions.
Dinobot: You used us. Now it’s my turn to use you. Or perhaps…
perhaps I shall spare you.
Edramylia: Please-
Dinobot: If you tell me the truth… if you tell me your
experiment… I may yet spare you.
Edramylia refuses, simply stating “go to Earth”, and Dinobot
stabs him deeply, killing him. Ripple injects the body with her
syringe, and Necrocide’s voice comes from it, stunned. The
lights on the Dawn Katana return, and Hummingstreak,
Straight-Aim and the A.I. are relieved. Ripple points out to
Dinobot that they are headed to Earth, and the Utahraptor-bot
snarls, before granting them permission to remain aboard
Iustitia – he adds, however, that he shall imprison them if they
prove to be troublesome. Hummingstreak and Straight-Aim join the
fembots, as Dinobot contacts Scorpinax and orders him to set the
ship off towards Earth.

Episode 18 – Unity
Airdate: Saturday 13th June 2015
Synopsis: Noxa is busy cleaning the graffiti from his lab door,
which Sickleclaw notices as she walks past. Frowning, she stops,
and asks him if he is at all considering Sawblade’s offer. He
stumbles over himself in response, and the Velociraptor-bot asks
to talk with him.
Aboard the Archaicon ship, Toxiclaw is experimenting with a
corrosive chemical as Haywire watches on silently. Eventually,
the former bot speaks up, asking her audience if she takes
interest in experimentation. Haywire explains that it is the
opposite – being experimented on ruined her life. Toxiclaw
questions why she would watch something that has scarred her so
deeply; Haywire mutters that it helps her feel alive.
Toxiclaw: In that case, why watch me? If you’re so scarred by
it, why?
Haywire: … because it’s one of the only ways I can feel alive…
Arcrise continues staring out into space when Unitus Prime
approaches her and asks how she is feeling. She tells him that
she feels a little uneasy, as though something were approaching
on the horizon. Smiling faintly at him, the phoenix-bot adds
that she is glad that they have gotten this far already, and
that she shall work on a way to communicate with Cybertronians
in other universes. Unitus thanks her, and she hugs him, which
he finds a little uncomfortable. Mirage is testing more of the
Legacy crystals, using Cheetor’s and finding it grants
super-speed. She logs this down, before putting the crystals
back and noticing that Freeline’s is missing. Sickleclaw and
Noxa are sat in his lab, as he loads up more of his shell
analysis. The former-Archaicon tells him that she was confronted
by disdain by both Maximals and Predacons before, and that she
felt that the Archaicons could provide her with a home… until
they became twisted and sinister.
Sickleclaw: I lived the same way before… not that long ago.
Maximals and Predacons both hated me. Then I met Dinobot… he was
trying to form a new faction. One that was free from the others.
I thought maybe I had a home. I guess I did, for a while. And
then things changed. They became darker… more sinister,
completely warped… it was horrible.
He points out that the united Cybertronians are evidently still
divided by factions, and Sickleclaw suggests that, after the
Archaicons return and take whoever is foolish enough to join
them, that is something they should work on. She suggests that
they bring this concern up to Unitus, too – he himself was once
a Predacon. Noxa is surprised, and accepts her offer to work on
unifying the race, all the while noticing the Omniconfigurator
in glove form on her hand.
Paladin and Swingback are talking, when Freeline approaches
them, her Legacy crystal in-hand. Nervously, she asks the two
what they make of her having a crystal, despite the fact she is,
for all intents and purposes, alive. Swingback immediately
states that the crystal does not invalidate the current
Freeline’s existence, simply celebrates the original. Freeline
points out that she still feels like the original, and Paladin
comments that the crystals should not matter to how she feels –
they are simply homages to the dead, and Freeline’s current
existence is just a loophole.
Freeline: Well… I still feel like the original. I have the
memories, the form, the personality. I’m her. But… she’s dead.
And that didn’t matter-
Paladin: It those crystals that don’t matter. They shouldn’t
make a difference to how you feel about yourself. They’re
tributes to people who died. You, here, right now, you’re just a
loophole. You’re the one who died and then came back without a
resurrection. That’s all there is to it.
At this, Swingback sighs, and goes to assure Freeline that this
is not so, but the faux-Cybertronian instead finds it helpful,
and heads off in a better mood. Swingback asks Paladin what he
would have done if he had upset her, and he comments that he
would have felt bad, but that he refuses to sugar-coat his
words. The two remain silent for a moment, and overhear two bots
discussing joining the Archaicons – Swingback notes to Paladin
that their race needs to stand together more than ever now,
which makes the very existence of the Archaicons a threat. As
Freeline heads down a corridor, she encounters Mirage, who asks
about her Legacy crystal; Freeline immediately hands it over,
saying it is no longer a bother to her before continuing on her
way. Unitus is waiting in the ship’s bridge when he receives
communications from the Archaicon ship, asking for clearance to
Transwarp in again. The Prime solemnly confirms this, sending
precise coordinates to a cleared space in the plaza.
Unitus Prime: Very well. I’m sending over coordinates – we’ve
kept an area of the plaza clear, set up a small stage. Consider
it a courtesy.
Sawblade: Too kind, Prime; truly.
Unitus Prime: Everywhere else on this ship is still locked down.
You have your stage, use it wisely.
Upon closing the communications channel, he broadcasts across
the ship, announcing that the Archaicons shall be in the plaza
and that anyone who has an interest in their dogma should take
note.
The Archaicons Transwarp into the plaza aboard New Cybertron,
and Sawblade smirks at the presence of a gathered crowd. Paladin
and Swingback watch on from the edge of the plaza all the while,
as Sawblade begins his rhetoric – that the Archaicons stand for
an omniverse free of the conflict of the Cybertronian race, and
the swift eradication of any who remain locked into the old ways
of thinking.
Sawblade: You may be asking yourselves; “what do the Archaicons
stand for? How would I benefit from joining them?” The
Archaicons are the ones who find disgust in the damage our race
has done to reality. Our entire multiverse lies crippled in the
wake of war, and who knows what would have happened if that war
had reached other multiverses? We stand against the order of
conflict that our race has championed, and the factions that
bear the blood of countless worlds. Our aim is to erase
“Maximal” and “Predacon”, “Autobot” and “Decepticon”, and
rebuild the Cybertronian race under the banner of those who
stand steadfast in defence of the omniverse… the Archaicons!
Sickleclaw speaks up as she enters the plaza with Noxa in-tow,
noting that the old ways are already all but dead, and that the
remnants shall pass over time as the united race prospers. She
adds that Sawblade is a self-confessed anarchist who has helped
drive the Archaicons towards his own sinister ambitions. Many of
the gathered crowd begins to step away from the Archaicons,
causing Airazor to whine in frustration. Sawblade, however,
points out that Sickleclaw herself is a former Archaicon, one
who fled as she had no comprehension of the faction. Sickleclaw
snarls back that she was the first to follow Dinobot, and that
it was Sawblade who warped the faction’s purpose.
Sickleclaw: Feh. What do you know? I was the very first bot to
follow Dinobot. I was there at the start. I know what this
faction was, before you came in and twisted everything into what
you wanted.
She transforms the Omniconfigurator into sword form, and
Sawblade activates his chainsaw – the two lunge for one another,
and Paladin and Swingback quickly rush to assist as the other
Archaicons likewise join the fray. The remaining crowd members
disperse, even as Unitus Prime arrives, but the fight barely
begins before the Archaicons freeze in place. Chuckling, the
Debt Collector steps forward, and suggests to the villains that
their mission is a complete failure. She Transwarps them back to
their ship, and turns to Unitus, smirking. Paladin, Swingback,
Sickleclaw and Noxa are all shocked at her presence. The
Archaicons find themselves back on their ship, and an enraged
Sawblade attacks the consoles. All the while, an invitation to
Earth pops up on the computers of the bridge of New Cybertron.

Episode 19 – Collateral Damage
Airdate: Saturday 20th June 2015
Synopsis: The Quintessons desperately try to take measure of the
huge attack tearing through their fleet, as more Shadows bursts
in. Firegrowl enters with them, using intense blue flames to
take out two Quintessons, before heading over to a computer
console. He begins hacking in, and smirks.
In the morning light, Wildfire and Quickpaw join the rest of
Scale’s team near their ship; Scale announces that the Paradise
Four have launched an attack on the Quintessons, and that they
shall be headed to intervene and attempt to contain the chaos.
He leads them aboard the ship, as Quickpaw and Umbraven share a
glance. The ship quickly launches, and Wildfire asks Andromeda
if she is prepared – the magpie-bot looks at the spiral on her
palm, and states that she is more prepared than usual.
Wildfire: Gees, I’m really nervous… d’you think you’re prepared,
Andromeda?
*she looks at her palm*
Andromeda: More prepared than I usually am… yeah.
Firegrowl searches rapidly through the computer systems of the
Quintesson ship, as the Shadows guard him from any approaching
Quintessons. The lead ship is bombarded by the other three
members of the Paradise Four, as they attack it as streaks of
coloured light; and all the while, the gigantic Ship-Shadows
tear their way through the fleet. Defence drones of various
sizes are launched, which quickly begin to attack the
Ship-Shadows and the three Paradise Four members. Tetsuprima
powers straight through two of them, before landing down on top
of a larger one and commandeering it, turning it against some of
the other drones. Ferros’ ship appears through this chaos, and
it veers off to avoid drawing the attention of the Paradise
Four. Wildfire is stunned by the Ship-Shadows, and Quickpaw
suggests they find a way to deactivate the Shadows as
confronting them all would take too long.
Wildfire: Those… those are Shadows that came from the ships,
right? They’re HUGE!
Quickpaw: Fighting all of these would take forever. We should
find a way to deactivate them, take them all out in one go.
Scale considers this, and has the ship land down on one of the
Quintesson ships: he tells Quickpaw and Umbraven to fly the ship
to the Paradise Fortress and find a way to stop the Shadows,
while he leads the others out. Umbraven tries to refuse, but
Quickpaw flies the ship off before the other bot can argue.
Scale then tells the others that they shall be finding
Firegrowl, who was obviously absent outside.
Wartiger uses his formidable strength to tear apart one of the
larger defence drones, while Rattlesoar generates sonic booms
that take out a swarm of smaller drones. A quartet of drones
project a video link with a Quintesson, who asks what the
purpose of their attack is, adding that they shall be judged for
their actions. Tetsuprima addresses the Quintesson, explaining
that as bastions of justice, they are disgusted by the
five-faced race’s malpractice and sentencing of everyone they
encounter.
Tetsuprima: My name is Tetsuprima, leader of the Paradise Four.
We are bastions of justice, warriors for peace. You dirty all of
those concepts. You terminate lives en masse in your quest for
your vision of justice. You disgust us.
To that end, they intend on wiping out the fleet. He proceeds to
destroy the drones, and continues to lead an attack of the
fleet. Scale, Wildfire, Andromeda and Ferros continue through
the ship they are on, and Andromeda asks how they are supposed
to find Firegrowl. Ferros suggests that they run a diagnostic
scan across the fleet, although Scale points out how difficult
that would be. The elephant-bot stops at a computer terminal,
and asks Andromeda to expand his search when he runs it. Though
Andromeda is uncertain, she agrees to do so; Ferros runs a basic
scan for non-Quintesson macroorganisms, which Andromeda expands
with her spiral, covering all of the ships in the fleet and
swiftly locating Firegrowl. Ferros observes that they now need
to find a way to reach that ship. All the while, the team’s ship
draws close to the Paradise Fortress – on board, Quickpaw and
Umbraven are enduring an awkward silence, until the former
observes that they shall be arriving in a few minutes. Umbraven
lets out a huff, and Quickpaw snaps that she needs to stop being
so agitated about her time in DisRupt.
*Umbraven lets out a quiet but noticeable huff*
Quickpaw: Right, that’s it! Listen to me: you need to stop
getting so worked up about me being in DisRupt!
Umbraven remarks that she would if she could, but she is not
comfortable with people who have murdered being so close with
her. As Quickpaw lands the ship down within the Fortress, she
coolly tells her team-mate that she is not defined by having
killed people.
Firegrowl continues rummaging through the Quintessons’ computer
systems, the room now littered with dead Quintessons. He finds
information regarding a scientific project on Earth, though
there is heavy protection around the data. Smirking again, he
begins to work on hacking past it. Quickpaw and Umbraven explore
the Paradise Fortress, while Umbraven explains, at length, her
fear of people who are capable of killing, her difficulty in
trusting people, the deaths she has witnessed, and her
preference for a peaceful life reading books. Reaching her
limit, Quickpaw stops, taking Umbraven’s hands and assuring her
that she can trust her – that she shall do everything in her
power to prove that, and that she shall protect her until the
day she can regain that peaceful life. Umbraven is taken aback,
and asks what Quickpaw shall do if she refuses that offer;
Quickpaw chuckles that Umbraven has no say in it, and leads her
forward.
Umbraven: Uh- uhm…
*she looks around awkwardly*
Umbraven: What about if I refuse that? What if I don’t want you
to do all of that?
Quickpaw: Heh heh heh… you don’t have a choice! I’ll do it
whether you like it or not! Now, come on, we’ve got Shadows to
disable.
Scale’s group find a teleportation system, which Andromeda
expands the potential of, and they teleport across to
Firegrowl’s location. The non-Cybertronian is taken by surprise,
but continues his hacking work, starting to retrieve terms such
as “initial kernel” and “mass-production”. Ferros turns to
Andromeda again, who states that this shall be the last time –
she uses her spiral to shut down the power in the ship, turning
the computers off, and almost overwhelming herself. Firegrowl
chuckles, noting that the he has all the information he needs.
Firegrowl: That’s fine. I’ve read enough and stored it all away.
Now I simply have a puzzle to solve.
The Shadows attack the Maximals… only to vanish instantly. In
the Paradise Fortress, Quickpaw awkwardly rights herself, having
tripped in the control room and having deactivated the Shadows
by chance. Tetsuprima is shocked by the disappearance of the
Shadows, and angrily orders a retreat; Firegrowl leaves Scale,
Wildfire, Ferros and the dazed Andromeda. Scale congratulates
his allies, and contacts Quickpaw and Umbraven, telling them to
exit the Fortress quickly. The two fembots, however, are hidden
in the building as the Paradise Four return.
