Episode 1 – The Sound of the Waves
Airdate: Saturday 31st January 2015
Synopsis: A small colonial town, dusty and windswept, is
littered with Cybertronian bodies. Mirage steadily drags her way
through the streets, still barely held together, with only her
Hope Brace still pristine. The Maximal keeps coughing,
occasionally bringing up fluid as she explores the area,
attempting to find any living beings and finding only lifeless
corpses. Noticing a bell tower, she heaves her way into the
building, collapsing to the floor by the reception desk. In
pain, she just about manages to haul herself up using the desk,
and continues through to an elevator and heading as high as
possible. Near the top of the tower, she shakily makes her way
up the steps and reaches the bell, with a view of the town
below. Noticing a crash site nearby but no signs of life, she
attempts to sound the bell by hitting it. Failing to make much
sound, she attempts to activate her built-in weaponry, but her
arm struggles to transform, causing her more pain. After a few
attempts, she aids the process with her other hand, which hurts
more but allows her arm to fully transform. She fires a few
times at the bell, causing it to ring, before transforming her
arm back and collapsing to the ground. An unknown span of time
passes as her consciousness fades in and out, with her noticing
the perfect state of her Hope Brace between lapses, before a
voice reaches her ears – a figure rolls her onto her back, and
introduces himself as Noxa, a medic.
Noxa: Easy there, easy… you’re going to be okay. My name is
Noxa. I’m a medic – I know, not a good name for a medic- erm, it
means hurt. Or murder. It’s a medical term, though. I’ll stop
worrying you.
He is surprised at her condition, noting that he has never seen
someone functioning as well as her when this injured, before
bringing out a strange device. He explains that it is an
anaesthetic clamp, which affixes to the chest and lessens
sensory perception… although this will include her sight and
hearing, so she will have to place her trust in him for now.
Noxa: This is an anaesthetic clamp. I invented it, for
severely-damaged patients. I affix it to your chest, above your
spark chamber, and it reduces your sensory input. Basically
you'll feel less pain. But it weakens your sight and hearing
too, all your senses, so… right now, you’ll just have to trust
me. I’m going to take you to my lab and try to patch you up.
He places the clamp to her chest and activates it, immediately
dulling her senses. She perceives being picked up, before
everything goes black… and she snaps awake again in a lab, lying
in a bed of CR fluid.
Noxa quickly enters, informing her that she passed out after
the clamp was applied – it happens to some people – and that she
is now lying in a CR bed, an invention of his that allows him to
operate on a patient even as the CR fluid works on them. He
reiterates that he has never seen someone functioning with so
much damage, and notes that she is already healing well. Mirage
turns her head and ingests some of the fluid, much to Noxa’s
shock; the fembot states that she had damage to her throat which
she needed to heal, and asks if there are any other survivors.
The medic confirms that there are not, having run a scan on the
town.
*Mirage turns her head, submerging her mouth in the CR fluid and
taking it into her mouth*
Noxa: Ah, wait, I wouldn’t do that, you shouldn’t ingest CR
fluid-
*Mirage swallows, and takes a sharp breath*
Mirage: That’s better… I had damage to my throat. Thought it’d
be quicker to swallow some of the fluid.
Noxa: Well… I’m glad it worked, but please pay attention to my
medical advice.
Mirage: Are there any other survivors beside you?
Noxa: From this town? No. I broke into the census offices, ran a
scan… I’m the only one left. Ugh, we stayed out of all the
conflict to avoid this kind of slaughter…
He then points out the pristine Hope Brace on her wrist, and
asks if she was risking her life to protect it; Mirage states
that it was probably what kept her together. The medic asks if
it acted like his shell – Mirage notices the shell strung around
his neck for the first time, but immediately questions why he
knows what it is. He explains that he has been treating another
fembot who crashed in an escape pod not long ago, and she
explained the events that wiped everyone out and the
significance of the shells. Immediately clocking who he means,
Mirage hauls herself out of the CR bed and, despite Noxa’s best
efforts, barges into the next room… to find Medusa, still
wearing her stolen shell and a little worse for wear. Mirage
immediately transforms her arm and opens fire on the vile bot,
but Noxa restrains her, stating that he will not allow the two
to fight. Medusa chuckles that Noxa is on her side as a fellow
Predacon, but Noxa responds that factions do not matter now that
their race is near extinction.
Medusa: There’s no point in trying, Maximal. Noxa’s a Predacon,
like me.
Noxa: That’s not why I’m stopping her. Our old factions don’t
matter now – our entire race is almost extinct. We need to stick
together and refrain from killing one another.
The Maximal breaks free of Noxa’s hold and lunges at Medusa,
trying to attack her, but the Predacon instead grapples her, and
holds her shell to her opponent’s ear. Mirage hears the sound of
distant waves, and Medusa states that it is Valyssia.
Mirage points out that it is likely just a trick of the shell’s
structure; Noxa steps up, showing Mirage that the shell’s
surface is ingrained with coordinates, along with the name
Valyssia. Medusa adds that the name brought forth hazy memories
from timeline a, and she recalls visiting the planet before. She
believes that the intention was for the survivors to gather on
Valyssia. Mirage is stunned, but questions if every survivor
would work out the coordinates. Both Noxa and Medusa are unable
to answer, and Mirage continues on, asking Noxa if he knows who
Medusa really is and what she likely has in her head.
Necrocide’s voice responds that he is not in Medusa’s head –
Mirage turns, to see a glass container holding an extrapolated
tissue sample, complete with oily grin and eyes.
Mirage: And you, do you realise who you’ve taken in? Obviously
she felt it worth explaining what these shells are and that
almost everyone is dead… do you have any idea who she really is?
And considering she’s here, alive, with that stupid scar on her
face, do you know who’s – what’s – probably floating around in
her head?
Necrocide: Thing is… I’m not in Medusa’s head.
Noxa states that Medusa simply requested he take some of her
scar tissue and grow it; Mirage explains that the tissue is that
of the false Prime who decimated their species and Medusa’s role
as a psychic safe-house. She then turns on Medusa, stating that
if she had died on Leviathan, her body would have been destroyed
in the explosion and Necrocide would be gone. Now the rebel
forces gave their lives in vain and the four of them are alone
on this world… just as someone knocks on the door. Noxa heads
off awkwardly, and returns a moment later with Freeline, here to
see Mirage. The cat-bot sets down the remaining six Hope Braces
and informs Mirage that the devices allow the final Thirteen to
jump to one another’s locations (as well as to that of
Freeline’s briefcase).
Freeline: So, hey Mirage.
Mirage: Hello, Freeline…
Freeline: Bet you’re wondering how I got the Hope Braces, right?
Mirage: I’m guessing Arcrise gave them to you.
Freeline: I don’t know. They were in my subspace pocket
dimension… Anyway, I’ve learnt a few things about them.
Mirage: Go on…?
Freeline: You can use yours to locate the other twelve – same
with everyone else. It even identifies who is who. Then you can
teleport to any of their locations. Oh, and whatever my
briefcase is, it’s tied into them as well. I’m leaving it in my
little base so I can teleport back there.
She is trying to gather the current seven, and needs Mirage to
come with her. Noxa asks if he should not have put one of the
Braces on – they turn to see one of the six on his wrist.
Freeline nonchalantly welcomes him to the Thirteen, picks up the
other five and teleports herself, Mirage and Noxa away to her
base. Mirage immediately cries out that they cannot abandon
Medusa and Necrocide to their own devices, but Freeline says
that they could not accompany them without a Hope Brace or a tie
to the briefcase; nor can they go back (she apologises
sheepishly).
Back in Noxa’s lab, Medusa picks up Necrocide’s container;
the Valoranian asks why she feels the need to take him, and she
explains that she cannot risk him being destroyed and heading
back into her mind. She adds that her restored memories are only
vague, but she knows of certain things and is forming a plan…

Episode 2 – Endangered Species
Airdate: Saturday 7th February 2015
Synopsis: We see a broadcast; a somewhat humanoid alien female
declares that the Anti-Cybertronian League is amassing further
members in the wake of the Cybertronian Near-Extinction Event
(CNEE). She announces that they shall soon be planning swift
militaristic strikes against the survivors… and that the
Cybertronian race shall fall.
[titles - theme can be found here
HTML http://tinypic.com/m/ih1gkw/3]
On Iustitia, Sawblade is watching this broadcast; he chuckles
as he closes the transmission, just as Airazor pops his head
over his team-mate’s shoulder. He asks what the broadcast was,
and Sawblade explains the ACL in brief terms. Airazor is
immediately aghast, and says that they should attack them
immediately – Sawblade reprimands him, noting that they are
still low on numbers, and that he and Dinobot shall discuss
plans of action. The Meganeura-bot is left disappointed, as
Sawblade heads elsewhere. Haywire is exploring the expansive
ship on her own; Rapax passes her, and informs her that she does
not have to see every room. The fembot responds that she likes
to know the intricacies of her living environment – it allows
her to feel more secure.
Haywire: I prefer to know where I am. I don’t like living in a
place that I don’t know the intricacies of. There’s no security
in that.
Rapax notes that being practically invisible must have messed
her up, and she very nearly attacks him, restraining herself and
heading off without another word, leaving him startled and
annoyed. Sawblade reaches Dinobot, only to find him already
conferring over the ACL with Edramylia – the psychopath smirks
lightly, and enters the room, stating that he already has a plan
of his own regarding the league. At that point, the ship is
rocked heavily; Scorpinax sends out an alert across the ship,
informing them that they are surrounded by a small fleet of
ships. A male alien interrupts the broadcast, introducing
himself as Talenra, head of the military division of the ACL. He
continues that the Archaicons are fortunate to have survived the
CNEE, but that they shall now perish for the crimes of their
race.
Talenra: You did a good job of surviving the CNEE. But your race
deserves more than that. You’ve left countless worlds in ruin…
and we want you to pay for it.
The ship is rocked again, and Sawblade turns to Dinobot and
Edramylia, asking if they would like to hear his plan. Edramylia
wishes to continue talks, but Dinobot states that there is no
time, and asks Sawblade what his plan is.
The previous female walks through tall, ornate corridors,
followed by a group of four aids. She states that the following
meeting is important and confidential, and that their discretion
is required. With that, they reach the end of the corridor, and
she leads them into an open chamber within a large, circular
hall. Other beings, of a wide range of shapes and sizes, are
within other chambers, all facing towards her. She introduces
herself as Giaseqen, the ACL’s acting president, and welcomes
the leaders of the league’s races to the meeting. She begins by
covering the CNEE, explaining that the trillions of surviving
Cybertronians across the multiverse have been reduced in number
to a predicted few thousand. She and the other high-ranking ACL
members have drawn up a detailed plan to swiftly and resolutely
destroy the remaining Cybertronians with minimal collateral
damage.
Giaseqen: Myself and my colleagues in the upper echelons of the
ACL have spent hours working out a plan of action. It covers
multiple options and contingencies in great detail, and will
allow us to terminate what is left of the Cybertronian race
while causing as little collateral damage as possible.
A cloaked figure in one of the chambers stands by as she begins
explaining the plan. Iustitia continues to come under attack
from the ACL fleet; aboard one of the larger ships, Talenra
observes that the Archaicons are refusing to retaliate, and
wonders if they have accepted their fate.
Talenra: Hm. They’re doing nothing. Perhaps we’ve managed to
convince them of their need to die.
Suddenly, the Archaicon ship begins glowing as it charges. The
charge focuses in on a specific region, then a specific floor,
and finally dozens of beams of concentrated light strike the
ships of the surrounding fleet. Talenra orders a change in
formations and a more focused attack; the Archaicons are poised
in various areas of the ship, each with large guns attached to
the ship via cables, and they begin firing out at the fleet.
Talenra changes order, having the ships focus on the Archaicon
attacks, but the bots continue to move from area to area and
floor to floor, taking their weapons with them and re-attaching
to the ship when they reach another spot from which to fire.
Giaseqen concludes her speech and explanation, and opens the
floor to questions. The cloaked figure immediately steps up, and
states that he has no question, but instead has a message. He
explains that a certain number of the Cybertronian race have
constantly strived to protect reality, and that they now plan on
protecting the remains of their race. He adds that they have
stood against far worse than a single organisation, although
Giaseqen declares that the ACL is more than just an organisation
– it is a belief, for millions across the multiverse. She then
asks who the figure is; he removes his cloak and a
voice-changing device, unveiling himself as Unitus Prime. He
introduces himself, and thanks her for explaining the ACL’s
plans.
Unitus Prime: My name is Unitus Prime; the One True Prime,
leader of the Thirteen and herald of the Cybertronian race’s
future.
The alien demands to know how he entered, and Arcrise bursts
from his shadow and waves. Armed guards swarm the area, but
Arcrise makes them freeze instantly, and Unitus states that he
has no offensive intentions. He only wants to make clear that
the Cybertronian race will not allow themselves to be
eradicated. As he and Arcrise head through a portal of the
latter’s creation, Giaseqen yells after them that they must be
held accountable for their race’s careless destruction of so
many worlds. The ACL fleet continues falling to the Archaicons’
attacks – Scorpinax reverses the signal to Talenra, and Dinobot
begins communications, telling the ACL member to retreat or he
shall be forced to act personally. Talenra asks if he is sure,
as they have worse ways of wiping out the race than this;
Dinobot states that this is their last chance to stop.
Talenra: Is this what you want? If we retreat now, we’ll give
you our all from here on. You’ll suffer. Your whole race will
suffer. It’s your choice.
Dinobot: One last chance. Leave or pay.
Smirking, Talenra suggests they consider this attack a warning,
and orders a retreat. Sawblade applauds the ACL’s unintentional
playing into his plan – to let them come to the Archaicons and
wind up getting fought off. Unitus and Arcrise return to their
temporary base, and find a message – “I’ll be collecting my
debts soon.” Arcrise is surprised by the concern on Unitus’
face.

Episode 3 – Quarters
Airdate: Saturday 14th February 2015
Synopsis: The surge of energy from the Paradise box on Fothai
spirals down to the night-time surface of a planet – it creates
great impact as it crashes down, and a large fortress forms in
its wake. Within, the shapes that accompanied the energy start
to take clearer form themselves, as four silhouettes emerge.
The same world, day now. Scale, Wildfire and Andromeda are
trekking across an uneven clearing between peaks, carrying a few
items with them. Andromeda reiterates her thoughts that they
should have stayed with the escape pod, but Scale makes clear
that it is of no use to them now. The damage to it was great,
and they need to find their way off of the planet rather than
worrying about being safe from enemies. Wildfire is silent all
the while, visibly shaken by recent events; Scale does not
ignore this, and suggests they take a ten minute break. The trio
sit themselves down on larger, moss-covered rocks, and Andromeda
immediately asks Wildfire if he wants to talk (Scale distracts
himself from the heart-to-heart all the while).
Andromeda: Hey, Wildfire, do you feel like talking about what’s
wrong?
The bobcat-bot quietly states that he is still in shock that all
the bots who had been fighting against the empire – and as far
as they know, all the Cybertronians across reality – are dead.
He is trying to process this fact, but is finding it hard.
Andromeda hugs him, and tells him that she will do everything in
her power to help him, while Scale nonchalantly adds that he
will lend a hand if needed. Wildfire thanks the two, forcing a
weak smile, before noticing a shadowy figure emerging behind
Scale.
Wildfire: Thank you… both of you… I really appreciate it.
*a shadowy figure steadily comes together behind Scale*
Wildfire: Scale… weird shadow thingy, behind you!
The ex-mercenary responds quickly, disarming the figure and
knocking it out; he quickly notices that it has no real features
and seems to be almost a literal shadow come to life. Even as he
says this, more figures emerge, surrounding the trio. As they
prepare to fight back, another figure leaps from one of the
nearby peaks – visibly larger than the other figures, it lands
down amongst them and starts ploughing them down with two large
axes. Wildfire is excited to see that the larger being is
Cybertronian, while Scale is immediately cautious. The shadows
are swiftly defeated, and the large bot gives them only a sharp
glare before walking off.
Wildfire immediately calls out after the newcomer, thanking him
and asking who he is and if there are others with him. The large
bot introduces himself as Ferros, and states that he is alone.
Disappointed, Wildfire suggests he join them for now, but Ferros
displays no interest in it. Andromeda backs Wildfire up, saying
that the Cybertronian race may well be all but wiped out by now,
and that they have to stick together. She tries to get Scale to
further back them up, but Scale instead questions the shell
around Ferros’ neck. The hulking bot simply claims that it
appeared around his neck shortly before the bots he was with
died.
Ferros: I don’t know what it is. Don’t know where it’s from. It
just appeared around my neck. About two minutes before everyone
I was with dropped down dead.
Scale points out to Wildfire and Andromeda that this must be
what Firecloud and Wingpulse were working on to protect lives,
and it seems to have worked. He then asks Ferros what the
shadowy figures were; Ferros states that he does not know,
having only encountered them a few times since last night. He
adds that he has answered enough questions, and begins climbing
the peak again. Wildfire hurries after him, probing him further,
while Andromeda looks to Scale for further instructions.
Wildfire: Hey, wait up! Who were you with? Where you a team? Or
are they people from your city? Why are you so grumpy? Is it
because they died or were you always like this?
Andromeda: Scale… what do we do?
The leopard gecko-bot suggests they follow Ferros, as he should
be able to lead them to either a working ship or a town or city
with one. He and Andromeda follow Wildfire, scaling the small
but craggy peak with Ferros. The large bot is obviously not
happy with them tagging along, but chooses to ignore them,
swiftly reaching the top of the peak; as Wildfire joins him, he
notices the fortress from before, now floating in the sky. Scale
and Andromeda join the two, and question what the fortress is.
Ferros states that he has no idea, but plans to find out… before
picking up a chunk of rock and hurling it at the distant
fortress. The rock makes contact, and the fortress rumbles.
A large, multi-coloured beam is fired from the fortress,
hitting very close to the four and sending them flying – they
just about manage to catch themselves close to the peak’s top,
saving themselves from a rough journey down. As they clamber
back up, Scale questions why the beam was not precise in its
aim. Andromeda is the first to find four exotic bots stood
there, coloured like the beam. Their leader introduces himself
as Tetsuprima, and announces that as Cybertronians, the Maximals
are no longer needed.
Tetsuprima: Greetings! My name is Tetsuprima, and it is my duty
to inform you Cybertronians that the omniverse doesn’t need you
anymore.
Wildfire asks who the four are, while Ferros simply attacks
instead. The four scatter, and transform into their beast modes,
attacking Ferros as they respond to Wildfire – Tetsuprima,
Wartiger, Firegrowl and Rattlesoar are the Paradise Four. Ferros
is quickly overwhelmed by their hybrid beast forms, and
transforms into his own elephant form in an attempt to fend them
off. Scale clicks that they must be what emerged from the
Paradise box on Fothai; Andromeda reiterates that all the evils
of the world emerged from the box of myth, but Rattlesoar notes
that they are not evil. Their purpose is to save reality, by any
means necessary.
Scale: Paradise. Like the boxes.
Ferros: Boxes…?
Scale: Something came out of that box on Fothai when Mirage
opened it. What’s the betting it’s these four?
Andromeda: “All the evils of the world”… that’s what the box in
the myth held. So…
Rattlesoar: Oh please. How dense are you? We’re not evil; we
live and breathe to save reality, no matter what.
Shadows rise up behind the three Maximals, and Scale suggests
they help Ferros. A brief but intense fight occurs, as the two
teams of four come to blows in both modes, and the Shadows
continue to attack the Maximals. Firegrowl is alerted to the
successful domination of the planet, and Tetsuprima orders a
return to the fortress, leaving the Maximals to the Shadows. As
Ferros reels from his injuries, Scale, Wildfire and Andromeda
see off the Shadows. The elephant bot attempts to stagger off,
but Wildfire calls out to him, saying that they need to stick
together. Scale adds that if Ferros came here by ship, they need
to head off, find as many Cybertronians as they can, and deal
with the Paradise Four. With the Shadows defeated, Ferros
relents, slowly leading his new allies off. In the Paradise
Fortress, Firegrowl sees the signal of Freeline attempting to
teleport in, and blocks her, as Tetsuprima informs the others
that they have many more worlds to take control of and protect.

Episode 4 – Beneath a Hazy Sky
Airdate: Saturday 21st February 2015
Synopsis: The Dawn Katana soars through a bright nebula;
Hummingstreak, Ripple and Straight-Aim are in the ship’s bridge,
discussing their current situation and the need to find the
others. Ripple asks the ship for a progress report, and he
informs her that he has managed to locate Mirage’s landing site.
Paladin’s eyes slowly open, and he can blearily make out tree
tops and a hazy sky streaked with innumerable colours. He
steadily sits up, as Swingback notices – she hurries over to
him, telling him to relax. She explains that their escape pod
had a rough landing and he was hurt and knocked unconscious. As
he notices the damage to his body, Swingback tells him to stay
put while she continues looking for anything, or anyone, that
can help repair the escape pod.
Swingback: Just relax. Don’t push yourself. I’m going to swing
around a bit, see if I can find something- well, something or
someone, to help fix up our escape pod. I’ll be back soon, don’t
move!
The monkey-bot transforms and leaps into the trees, leaving
Paladin alone. He slowly gets to his feet, though he is shaky,
and heads to the escape pod. It is heavily dented and its small
engines are damaged. Hearing a rustling nearby, Paladin turns,
drawing his swords and finding Sickleclaw stood there,
Omniconfigurator as a sword in her hand. The two stare at each
other intently for a moment, before Paladin is stung by pain and
collapses to the ground. Cautious, Sickleclaw approaches him,
and asks where he is hurting; when he tries to talk, he finds he
has no voice. He instead points out the pain in his left side,
and Sickleclaw transforms the Omniconfigurator into a medical
device, relieving him of the pain. She then asks him why he
cannot talk (and quickly adding that she understands that he
cannot answer properly), and he shakes his head and shrugs in
response. The former Archaicon then heads over to the escape
pod, investigating it, and observes that it probably will not be
able to launch from the ground even if repaired. Paladin points
at the Omniconfigurator, and Sickleclaw explains that she stole
it away – she has left the Archaicons.
Sickleclaw: It’s okay. I stole it. I ran away from the
Archaicons and I took this with me.
The Maximal shakes his head, and points from the device to the
escape pod. Sickleclaw notes that she cannot do much with the
Omniconfigurator yet, and could not repair the escape pod, or
even make it into a ship itself. She adds that her own ship
crashed, and she believes it is due to the planet’s atmosphere.
Hummingstreak is spinning around in one of the chairs in the
bridge of the Dawn Katana; he complains of boredom, while the
ship warns him against winding the chair up too much. Suddenly,
it rapidly spins the other way, sending Hummingstreak flying
across the bridge. Ripple sighs in dismay, and asks the ship how
much longer it will take to reach the planet that Mirage landed
on. He responds that it shall be another hour at most, causing
Hummingstreak to complain. Straight-Aim enquires about the
planet, and the A.I. explains that it has a single colonial
town, which refused to join the conflict against Necrocide. The
archer wonders how many of the bots survived.
Straight-Aim: After everything that’s happened, I wonder how
many of them are still alive…
In the jungle, Sickleclaw is attempting to run a medical check
on Paladin, but is not having much success; suddenly, Swingback
attacks her from the trees, diving into her and grappling with
her. Paladin cannot call out for them to stop, and his attempts
to get up and intervene fail. As the fembots grapple, he starts
to become flustered by it. Sickleclaw eventually manages to stop
Swingback, and explains that she is no longer with the
Archaicons and was trying to help Paladin.
Sickleclaw: Wait, just wait! Calm down. I’m not with the
Archaicons anymore. I don’t have any intentions of harming you;
I was trying to diagnose Paladin.
Swingback asks how they can trust her, and Sickleclaw shows her
the Omniconfigurator, explaining that she stole it before
leaving. The athlete is still unconvinced, noting that it could
be a ploy, before teasing Paladin for not attempting to
intervene in the fight. Paladin and Sickleclaw both make clear
that he cannot talk, and Swingback suggests he just use his
vocal copying abilities to try and utilise someone else’s voice.
After some focus, Paladin manages to croakily talk in a new
voice, noting it is that of William Lincoln from their adventure
on Earth. Swingback celebrates this, while Sickleclaw announces
that she has an idea on how they can escape the planet.
We see a flashback to Sickleclaw’s ship reaching the planet, as
the present bot narrates: she explains that she decided to land
here as the atmosphere would keep her hidden from the Archaicons
for the time being. As her ship passed through the atmosphere,
it was damaged by the volatile energy storms, and proceeded to
plummet towards the surface. As it fell, Sickleclaw could see a
continent further across the ocean, but chose to do what little
she could to steer the ship towards a small tropical island… the
one they are now on. As the flashback ends, Sickleclaw suggests
they do what they can to combine her ship and their escape pod,
and make it to the continent. Paladin agrees to this, although
Swingback is still suspicious.
Paladin: That sounds… like a good plan to me.
Swingback: Speak for yourself.
Paladin: What…?
Swingback: I don’t trust her. She’s not given us a single reason
to believe her yet, and I don’t want to risk anything for her
say-so.
Annoyed, Sickleclaw remarks that they do not have much choice,
as the island is otherwise deserted and the escape pod is
incapable of launching itself. Paladin chimes in, telling
Swingback that they outnumber Sickleclaw should anything happen;
Swingback notes that the Velociraptor-bot has the
Omniconfigurator, and suggests she hand it over to prove her
trustworthiness. Sickleclaw is instantly hesitant about this,
and Swingback slates her for her lack of trust while asking for
trust herself. Slowly getting to his feet, Paladin gently takes
the glove-form weapon from Sickleclaw, telling her that he will
guard it for now and asking her to lead them to her ship. The
fembot narrows her eyes, before leading the two into the trees;
Swingback asks what makes Paladin more trustworthy than her, and
he notes that it is his trust in Sickleclaw. After a moment,
Swingback smirks, and notes that she “gets it”, much to
Paladin’s confusion and irritation.
Swingback: … aaah. I get it.
Paladin: Get what?
Swingback: Heh… hahaha! Damn, Paladin, damn!
Paladin: What? What are you implying?
The Dawn Katana has landed near Mirage’s crater, and
Hummingstreak, Ripple and Straight-Aim, stood outside of the
ship, stare in surprise… at Mirage, holding Necrocide’s
container, smirking ahead of them.

Episode 5 – Adjacent Seats
Airdate: Saturday 28th February 2015
Synopsis: A digital map charts a journey across a vast span of
space. The map is being displayed above the seats of the ship
undertaking that journey; a short, moody-looking fembot is sat
in one of these seats. A slightly taller fembot sits in the
empty seat next to her, cheerily greeting the glum bot who
chooses not to respond.
The new arrival starts rummaging around in the pocket on the
back of the chair in front of her, digging out random trinkets.
The first fembot becomes increasingly annoyed, and asks her to
stop; the second apologises awkwardly, and introduces herself as
Quickpaw, holding her hand out. With an unimpressed glare, the
moody bot notes that she is not interested, which Quickpaw
jokingly takes as her name and continues to probe her.
Fembot: I’m not interested.
Quickpaw: Nice to meet you, Not Interested! Where d’you come
from, Not Interested? Are you enjoying this journey, Not
Interested? I’ll keep calling you this, Not Interested.
The shorter bot takes out a datapad and begins reading, ignoring
Quickpaw, who simply starts reading over her new companion’s
shoulder. Upon realising what the book is, she gets excited, and
spoils the plot details for the other fembot, who sneers in
frustration and puts the datapad away. Quickpaw apologises, as
the other bot introduces herself as Umbraven. She adds that she
has no interest in chatting with or befriending Quickpaw; the
taller bot acts as though she had no such intentions, though
Umbraven remarks that she knows when someone is desperate to
make friends. Looking hurt now, Quickpaw apologises
sarcastically for the fact that she has lost almost everyone she
knew, but she does not get to say anything more – the map
displays are all replaced by a video message from Unitus Prime.
He introduces himself, greeting all of the refugee ships that
the message is being broadcast to. He informs them that he is
preparing to gather the remnants of the Cybertronian race,
starting with this universe.
Unitus Prime: I am aiming to bring together what is left of our
species, beginning with those in this universe.
He has new destination coordinates put into the computers of
every ship courtesy of Arcrise, and explains that he shall await
their arrival there. The message concludes, and the map
reappears, with an altered path. Quickpaw is visibly stunned at
this message, while Umbraven attempts to hide her surprise and
awe.
A voice comes over the speaker system: the ship’s captain
informs the passengers that they shall be heading to the
coordinates supplied to them by Unitus Prime. Quickpaw hears a
light chuckle nearby, but is quickly distracted as Umbraven
suggests that the Prime could well be fake “like the previous
one”, trying to lull them into a trap. The other bot is
unconvinced, stating that she could feel the truth in what
Unitus was saying and that Umbraven should be less cynical.
Umbraven lowers her brow, saying that Quickpaw has no right to
tell her how to behave.
Quickpaw: Are you kidding? I’m sure he was telling the truth. I
could feel it. Really, you shouldn’t be so cynical.
Umbraven: You don’t have any right to tell me how to behave.
She adds that little in her life has given her a reason to place
her trust in people; Quickpaw pulls a face at this, and suggests
Umbraven place her trust in her. Umbraven simply scoffs at this,
leading her companion to question the response. The shorter bot
notes that she has no reason to trust Quickpaw, who responds
that she has carried the trust of a lot of people… before
correcting herself that it was more the trust of one person. The
chuckling from before becomes more prominent, and both bots
(along with some others in nearby seats) turn to the source.
Said source speaks up, asking the two if they are getting along
nicely. The new bot steps up, smirking delectably at Quickpaw
and Umbraven – the two both recognise her, and are surprised
that one another know her.
Quickpaw and Umbraven: You! *they turn to one another* You know
her?
Stepping up, the new bot reminds the two that they are indebted
to her still, and that she shall be collecting her debts soon
enough. Umbraven remarks that that would be expected from a bot
who calls herself the Debt Collector, and backs up a touch as
the sinister-looking bot approaches, chains around her wrists
and ankles. Some of the other passengers begin to act, but the
Debt Collector generates energy bubbles around each of them, all
the while approaching Quickpaw and Umbraven.
Quickpaw transforms into her golden retriever mode, standing
ready against the Debt Collector and yelling that she has no
intention of handing anything over. Smirking, Debt transforms
into a vicious-looking cat, and pounces at her, with the two
quickly brawling with one another. Umbraven is briefly frozen in
place, until Quickpaw calls out for her; the shorter bot
transforms into her raven mode, swooping in and barely making a
scratch on Debt before she uses one of her chains to lash her.
She then wraps another chain around Quickpaw’s neck (seemingly
telekinetically), but the dog-bot escapes by transforming, and
tackles her attacker. As Debt is knocked back, Umbraven hits her
head with her datapad, causing her to stop smirking. The power
goes out across the vessel, and the Debt Collector steps back
and vanishes, chronoskimming in the darkness. A moment later,
she returns through the door from the bridge, carrying the
ship’s power as a sphere in her hands. She threatens the two
that she shall detonate the sphere and break the ship apart.
Debt Collector: This is very simple. I’m holding the entire
ship’s power here. Do as I say or I’ll cause it to detonate, and
this ship won’t make it to its destination.
Umbraven begins to whisper to Quickpaw that they need a plan,
but the dog-bot frantically points out something behind an
unimpressed Debt Collector. A small explosive then activates
behind her, sending her reeling; she loses control over the
sphere and the energy returns to the ship. Umbraven is stunned,
while Debt chuckles, telling the two that they have had fun, but
she will be collecting their debts soon enough; with that, she
teleports away. Shaken, Umbraven asks Quickpaw what the
explosive was. The taller bot explains that the Debt Collector
put her in a position to become a member of a special-ops team,
to help support a young bot she looks after (and whose status
she no longer knows).
Quickpaw: How to explain… ol’ chainy helped me out one time.
Found me a way into a special-ops team.
Umbraven: And who’s that helpful for?
Quickpaw: Well, I had some skills… and people to protect.
There’s this young girl… organic species would say she’s like a
sister to me. I needed to keep things going to support her.
Thing is, I was on a mission when the rest of my team collapsed
and died. I don’t know if she’s still alive.
Umbraven quietly states that Debt had helped her cut ties with
those who she could not trust. Quickpaw gives her a comforting
smile, and helps her back into her seat as the pilot makes
another apology. The two fembots wonder whether it is a
coincidence that they happened to meet, especially as the Debt
Collector was on the same ship.

Episode 6 – New Cybertron
Airdate: Saturday 7th March 2015
Synopsis: On the deserted island, Paladin, Swingback and
Sickleclaw push their makeshift boat into the waters and board
it. Swingback starts the engines up, and the vehicle begins to
head across the sea. Noting his fellow passengers’ expressions,
Paladin asks Sickleclaw if she knows how long the journey will
take; she states that the continent shall be somewhere over the
horizon.
Unitus Prime and Arcrise are stood in a grand plateau amidst
mountains, both silent. Suddenly, Mirage, Noxa and Freeline
appear – Unitus and Mirage immediately smile upon seeing one
another, and embrace, as Freeline apologises for having taken so
long. She elaborates that she wanted to try and gather everyone
before bringing them to Unitus, but has been unable to locate
the other members of the team despite her best efforts.
Freeline: I was gonna get everyone together before bringing them
to you, but I can’t locate them. I tried, really hard. You’d be
proud. But I just don’t know where they are.
Noxa introduces himself, and displays his Hope brace – he offers
to do whatever is asked of him to help. Unitus in turn explains
that they are awaiting the arrival of refugees; Noxa asks if
this is why they are waiting in such a large plateau, and the
Prime confirms that is part of the reason. He turns to Arcrise,
who looks into the space ahead of them: the space instantly
fills with a huge ship, its surface reminiscent of Cybertron’s
cities visible from space. Unitus Prime introduces New
Cybertron, the new home of the Cybertronian race. In the ACL
citadel, Talenra is in talks with Giaseqen – the former is
making note of Unitus Prime’s message to the refugee ships and
their change in course. Giaseqen suggests they pick their way
through the ships as they draw closer, and eventually locate
Unitus and take him out too. As Talenra heads off to prepare the
fleets, Giaseqen advises him to not let his emotions get to him;
the brutish male questions why it should matter if they help
with his job.
Giaseqen: I want you to remember; keep your emotions in check.
Don’t let them get the better of you.
Talenra: What does it matter if it helps me do the job?
Giaseqen watches on in concern. The makeshift boat is continuing
on its journey, with the continent now not too far away. There
is still a frosty atmosphere between Swingback and Sickleclaw,
while Paladin fiddles with his Hope brace; Sickleclaw notes her
curiosity over the device, and Paladin remarks that they know
little of what they are. All they are sure of is that it marks
them as members of the final Thirteen. Sickleclaw is surprised
by this, as the continent looms ahead.
Several ACL ships close in on a refugee ship as it journeys
through space; Talenra orders that they perform a data-scoop on
the smaller vehicle. As the scoop begins, he quips that Giaseqen
is an excellent politician but has little tactical skill.
Talenra: You see, this is the problem with Giaseqen. She’s a
fine politician – one of the best I’ve ever seen – but she has
practically no tactical skill at all.
They can gain all of the knowledge on Unitus Prime’s location
from this data. As information floods into his personal computer
on the lead ship, Talenra then orders that they open fire. The
refugee ship quickly manoeuvres out of the way, but is clipped
by some of the ACL ships’ fire and its intended arc fails. It
quickly falls under further attack, and soon explodes. Talenra
smirks, and when a subordinate asks if they shall locate another
refugee ship, the military leader instead orders that they
follow the newly-gained coordinates to Unitus Prime’s location.
Paladin, Swingback and Sickleclaw reach land; they are taken
aback by the exotic architecture, and Swingback wonders if they
will even be able to pilot a ship from this culture. Indeed,
they soon see that the natives’ non-humanoid body shapes may
make things difficult. Sickleclaw suggests that she may be able
to use the Omniconfigurator to help them pilot a ship; Swingback
immediately declares that the Velociraptor bot just wants the
device back, and Sickleclaw snaps that she was not attempting to
get it back right now.
Sickleclaw: It might be possible for me to use the
Omniconfigurator as a mechanism to let us pilot one of their
ships…
Swingback: Oh, yeah, of course, you want your hands on the
Omniconfigurator!
Sickleclaw: No, I want to get off of this planet! I never said I
wanted to take it right now!
Paladin quickly gets between the two, even as some of the aliens
stare at the strange yelling beings. As the fembots sneer at one
another, Paladin takes their wrists and leads them off into the
city. Giaseqen is sending messages out when she notices an
update come through from Talenra – she curses his acting without
her authorisation, but states that it is likely for the best.
She draws up images of Unitus Prime, and remarks “to” him that
his machinations shall be stopped.
Unitus Prime’s team is still waiting in the plateau; Freeline
asks why they cannot board New Cybertron, and Arcrise explains
that it is powered by the presence of Cybertronians. They cannot
even enter it with only a few of them around. Freeline asks if
Arcrise created the ship, and she confirms that she did – her
power keeps waxing and waning, but she formed the entire ship
almost instantaneously at a point of high power. She then asks
Freeline how many Hope braces are left, and the cat bot confirms
that there are five. As Noxa talks with Unitus Prime and Mirage,
she adds that the medic having donned one might just be fate
operating under the guise of an accident.
Noxa: Ah, so the Matrix was actually shattered?
Unitus Prime: Mhm. Some of the fragments were in us…
*we switch back over to Freeline and Arcrise, watching the
others talk*
Freeline: I think Noxa putting one of the Hope braces on was
fate. Just that it was fate dressed up as chance.
As Talenra’s fleet follows the coordinates, they come across a
large nebula. The subordinate notes that the gas cloud has a
strange data signature, but the coordinates definitely lead
there. Talenra orders one of the ships to enter the nebula; as
the nose of the ship touches the cloud, it is electrified, and
its power completely cuts off. The subordinate suggests that the
nebula only allows Cybertronian ships through; Talenra specifies
it as those ships that Unitus Prime contacted, and attempts to
reconfigure the absorbed data from the destroyed refugee ship to
enter. When the ship attempts entry, the data is deleted and
replaced with a super-deformed Arcrise animation sticking her
tongue out. Talenra snarls and orders the fleet to refocus on
the other refugee ships.
Talenra: … forget this. Let’s continue with the refugee ships
for now.
Sickleclaw thanks one of the aliens, using the Omniconfigurator
to translate, as Paladin and Swingback stand by their new ship.
The monkey bot asks that the Omniconfigurator be taken back now,
while Sickleclaw boards the ship. Swingback almost snaps, until
Sickleclaw asks the two if they are going to join her. The ship
is then seen heading up through the planet’s atmosphere; in the
plateau, Freeline is alerted to the syncing of two more Hope
braces, and she informs the others.

Episode 7 – Tied by Fate
Airdate: Saturday 14th March 2015
Synopsis: Medusa is unimpressed as Hummingstreak slowly spins
the chair that she is handcuffed to. The Dawn Katana flies on
autopilot all the while, as Ripple and Straight-Aim discuss
their next plan of action. Necrocide suggests they curl up and
die, earning him an electrocution from the computer panel he is
plugged into. All the while, an ACL ship looms nearby.
A refugee ship is at a large fuelling station, and many of its
passengers have stepped off of the ship – including Quickpaw and
Umbraven, the former continuing to cheerily follow the latter.
Umbraven is unimpressed with her companion’s insistence on
talking with her, and she suggests she find something (or
someone) else to occupy herself for the time being. Grimacing,
Quickpaw starts to look out at what lies beyond the fuelling
station… and sees four coloured streaks of light approaching.
She attempts to alert Umbraven, who ignores her until it is too
late. The streaks crash down on the outskirts of the station,
drawing everyone’s attention. As the smoke clears, Tetsuprima
becomes visible, and he announces that the Cybertronians are a
threat to reality.
Tetsuprima: Cybertronians! It pains me to say this, but you are
all a threat to reality.
Wartiger, Firegrowl and Rattlesoar also become visible, and the
four quickly commence their attack on the Cybertronians.
Quickpaw swiftly displays her abilities, drawing the attention
of Firegrowl – the two go toe-to-toe in beast mode combat, his
dog and Chinese dragon hybrid form forcing her to give her all.
Unsure what to do, Umbraven transforms and flies up to confront
Rattlesoar; the Paradise bot proves her superiority (and
verbally makes it clear). Hummingstreak continues
absent-mindedly spinning Medusa’s chair, and the Predacon
complains that she is feeling dizzy now.
Medusa: Please stop. I’m getting very dizzy.
Suddenly, the ship is rocked – the A.I. notes that they are
under attack, and Ripple sarcastically thanks him for the alert.
Three ACL ships are surrounding the Dawn Katana, and
Hummingstreak, Ripple and Straight-Aim start to panic over how
to act. Medusa frowns, and tells them that she will help… if
they release her from the chair. The bots share a glance, and
Straight-Aim suggests that they continue thinking of a plan of
their own. Hearing this, Medusa further furrows her brow.
As the Paradise Four’s attack continues, Shadows being to
appear and further assault the refugee Cybertronians. Even
Quickpaw and Umbraven are failing in their fights, the raven-bot
especially struggling. Sudden laser blasts pierce through the
Shadows and even knock the Paradise Four. A small fighter lands
down, and Scale, Wildfire and Andromeda step out – they rush to
the aid of the others, while Ferros remains in the ship for a
moment. Quickpaw and Umbraven are surprised, as the new arrivals
quickly mow down the Shadows. Firegrowl attempts to take out
Quickpaw while she is distracted, only for Ferros to use the
flat of one of his axes to knock the hybrid away. Quickpaw
thanks him, and he gruffly acknowledges her thanks before moving
on, quickly coming to blows with the equally-big Wartiger.
Quickpaw: Thanks!
Ferros: Yeah. You’re welcome.
*he moves on, just as Wartiger charges at him*
Wartiger: I better deal with you, Cybertronian.
Ferros: “Deal” as best as you can.
Andromeda joins Umbraven in the sky, and although she too is of
little use, the two manage to turn Rattlesoar’s joy at easily
dealing with one opponent into frustration. Scale confronts
Tetsuprima, and questions if the Paradise Four are capable of
not making stupid decisions; Tetsuprima snarls that they know
what is right. As the Dawn Katana weaves through space in an
attempt to avoid fire from the ACL ships, the Maximal trio are
still struggling to work out an appropriate plan of action.
Medusa speaks up again, and requests that they release her after
she advises them. They reluctantly agree, and the Predacon tells
them to head raise the ship’s shielding and invert it – the
attacking ships’ blasts will be deflected. The Dawn Katana notes
that this is risky, but Medusa insists they do it.
Dawn Katana: Look, I’m not sure that’s a good idea. It’s kind
of… risky.
Medusa: You can’t live a life cowering from risks. Do it.
The Maximals trigger the shield and invert it, causing the ACL
ship’s attacks to bounce away. The ship then shudders, and
halts; the A.I. repeats that the process was risky, and
Necrocide teasingly asks the Maximals if they still intend on
freeing Medusa.
Wildfire approaches the refugee ship’s pilot, and suggests that
the citizens board the ship and head off quickly. The pilot
agrees, and makes an announcement to all those still outside of
the ship to re-board. Andromeda suggests to Umbraven that she
head off too, and the raven-bot agrees, swooping down to lead
Quickpaw back into the ship… only to notice the Debt Collector
stood on top of the ship. The Paradise Four instantly feel her
presence, and Tetsuprima leads the others off elsewhere as Debt
smirks. The sinister fembot jumps over to Quickpaw and Umbraven,
asking if they really want to flee from their new friends.
Debt Collector: Are you so sure you want to go? You’re running
away from your new friends.
The two are confused, until Scale approaches, asking Debt why
she is here. All five of the other Maximals are confused, and
Scale informs Wildfire and Andromeda that she was his contact
when he was a mercenary. Wildfire notes that she had resolved a
dangerous situation that his haphazard nature had seen him
involved with; Andromeda explains that Debt was the one who led
her to Valyssia. Growling, Ferros states that he knows her too,
but does not divulge how. Debt turns to Quickpaw and Umbraven,
and suggests they stick with Scale’s team and work out how six
people she knows have all wound up together, before
chronoskimming away. The two fembots are shocked; Wildfire
introduces himself and the others, and Quickpaw introduces
herself and Umbraven. The pilot checks on them, but Umbraven
tells him to leave without them.
Pilot: You two, we’re about to leave.
Umbraven: That’s okay. You go ahead – we have business to attend
to. Thank you for taking us this far.
The Dawn Katana continues deflecting the ACL ships’ fire while
motionless; suddenly, the ships are telekinetically crushed and
explode. The Maximal ship’s shield degenerates and its power
returns… and a Vok appears on one of the monitors. Only Medusa
knows what it is, but is taken aback by its presence. The Vok
informs the group that they must begin their journey by heading
to a planet called Audel. Straight-Aim accepts this, as the Vok
vanishes. Medusa starts to contemplate what this could mean.

Episode 8 – The Options Given
Airdate: Saturday 21st March 2015
Synopsis: Text on screen reads “three hours ago”. A damaged
refugee ship struggles through space, as a larger ship looms
overhead. One of the refugees wails out, questioning why
Quintessons are attacking… and on the attacking ship, Sawblade
smirks and orders the other Archaicons to bring the ship in.
“Now”, Iustitia. Airazor, Kickback and Rapax are stood around,
looking over the captive refugees; Rapax notes that he feels
uncomfortable watching them in their cells, as it reminds him of
his own Quintesson imprisonment. Kickback questions if he has
been comfortable with any of the Archaicons actions, and the
Sinopa-bot muses that he has no choice but to be comfortable
with it. Chuckling, Airazor asks why anyone would have a problem
with being on the winning team, just as Dinobot, Sawblade and
Edramylia enter. They approach the cells, and Dinobot introduces
the Archaicon faction – he explains that they are a faction
created to defy the natural order of the Cybertronian race, and
to find an end to all of the problems caused by and afflicting
the species. He apologises for the rough actions of Sawblade,
and states that the faction needs as many members as possible.
Sawblade speaks up, noting that he himself is not sorry, and
that they have the next few hours to decide whether or not to
join the Archaicons.
Sawblade: I would like to clarify – Dinobot may be sorry for my
actions, but I’m not. You have three hours to make your
decision. You’re with us, or you’re against us.
One bot in particular seems troubled by this choice, as Dinobot
leads his right and left hands off. Edramylia briefly pauses,
but continues on. All the while, the ACL citadel is in darkness
– Giaseqen is attempting to coordinate the organisation and have
the power returned, when Talenra enters, snarling that there are
Quintesson ships looming. The political leader presumes that
they shorted out the citadel’s power, and questions why they
were unable to detect the ships before the outage.
Giaseqen: That narrows down our possible reasons for this power
outage. Presumably they caused it remotely… though we should
have been able to detect them before that.
She heads off, noting that she shall take a cruiser and head up
to the Quintessons. Talenra offers to send a few of his ships up
to guard her, and she states that it should have been a given.
The solider scowls as Giaseqen, torch in-hand, heads off to
board her cruiser.
Dinobot scolds Sawblade for contradicting him in front of the
captives – the second-in-command questions why it matters,
considering the faction is not a dictatorship (presumably). The
leader reasserts that there must be no signs of dissention or of
weakness when displaying the faction, as Edramylia tinkers with
a computer all the while. Sawblade smirks, and notes that giving
the captives a choice means giving them the option to choose not
to join – he finds this counterintuitive, and Dinobot questions
how forcing them into the faction would be any proof of the
faction being democratic.
Sawblade: The thing is, you’ve given each and every one of them
a choice. That means you’re giving them the choice to not join
us. What’s the point in that? We need more members, we shouldn’t
give them the chance to turn us down.
Dinobot: Sawblade, your ego clouds your ability to judge your
own remarks. You suggest that this faction is not a democracy,
and then you suggest we force people to join us. What better way
to prove ourselves to be villains than to rob people of their
ability to choose their paths?
Sawblade: And you say I contradict myself…
He forbids Sawblade from visiting the prison cells for the time
being, and asks Edramylia what he is doing. The Quintesson says
that he is checking on certain frequencies for any unusual
messages, although his focus and the Quintesson letters that
continually flash up suggest otherwise. Kickback and Rapax are
still with the refugees, with Airazor gone. The thoughtful
captive speaks up, asking the two why they joined the Archaicons
– Kickback says that they were in a similar situation to the
refugees, but Rapax adds that they had little choice in what to
do. The same bot then asks if they believe joining the
Archaicons to be the right choice, and neither respond. Instead,
Haywire speaks up from the area’s entrance, claiming that the
Archaicons provide a home for those in need. She brings up a
major question – where else do the refugees have to go?
Haywire: A question for you – where else can you go?
Giaseqen’s L-class cruiser reaches the upper edges of the
atmosphere, and the Quintessons begin a transmission, informing
her that the ACL is to be arrested and tried for acts of racial
aggression and planned genocide. The politician smirks, and
brings up data which she explains to be clearance forms from
Nosk’yra, the founder of the organisation. The Quintessons are
unsure how to process this, and Giaseqen mentions that she has a
proposal…
The captive refugees explain that they were following a set of
coordinates given to them by Unitus Prime – the three Archaicons
are confused as to who Unitus Prime is, and Haywire asks if what
he is promising is better than the Archaicons. The unnamed bot
notes that they will likely not be taken captive and imprisoned
by the Prime – Sawblade, watching through security cameras,
snarls. Scorpinax suggests that Waspinator is Unitus Prime,
which Toxiclaw seconds. Sawblade tells the two not to pass the
information on to Dinobot.
Sawblade: You’re not to pass this information to Dinobot. He
doesn’t know about this Unitus Prime until we tell him.
Shockblast is patrolling the perimeter of Iustitia, when he
hears a knocking on the outside wall. Surprised, he charges his
pulsar cannon and approaches… only to be blown back by a small
explosion. A figure enters through the smoke. Giaseqen proposes
an alliance between the ACL and the Quintessons, observing that
they share a common enemy in the Cybertronians. The Quintessons
question what the benefit would be, and Giaseqen suggests they
investigate the ACL’s bio-weapons.
Quintesson 1: A change in our current status would require some
form of benefit. What benefit would we receive from an alliance?
Giaseqen: Heh. You might want to look into our bio-weapons
sometime.
She elaborates that the Quintessons are infamous for their
consistent guilty verdicts, and the ACL have judged the
Cybertronian race long ago. The Quintessons agree to the
alliance, though they state that they hold the right to
terminate it at any point. The power returns to the citadel, and
Giaseqen thanks them for their time. Kickback and Rapax discuss
Unitus Prime’s message, while Haywire stews in her own thoughts.
The unnamed bot apologises for any trouble he has caused by
speaking up, just as Airazor bolts in, yelling that the ship has
been broken into and blaming the captives. He is then swiftly
knocked out – as he collapses, Claws becomes visible behind him.
She tells the other three Archaicons not to act (although she
adds that she is unsure if they would anyway), and Laserbeak
soars from her back as she tells the refugees that their ship is
waiting for them. They instantly teleport away, save the unnamed
bot. He questions this, and Laserbeak frees him from his cage as
Claws approaches. She takes his hands as Laserbeak sits on her
shoulder, and they teleport away, leaving Kickback, Rapax and
Haywire stunned.

Episode 9 – Red Rain
Airdate: Saturday 28th March 2015
Synopsis: A sterile white facility, with Gabriel Fauré’s Pavane
in F-sharp minor, Op. 50 [see below] starting to play
over speakers. Prophecy is preparing equipment; she takes a
large weapon, straps on a weapon-filled bandolier, and enters a
large, silver, cylindrical chamber with a small walkway. The
door shuts, and the walls start to rapidly spin and charge as
Prophecy stands grim and prepared.
Hummingstreak, Ripple, Straight-Aim and Medusa (carrying
Necrocide) are trekking across a rocky clearing on Audel, as red
rain falls from equally vivid clouds above. The hummingbird-bot
wonders why the Vok sent them here when there seems to be
nothing happening… only for a ring of light to generate nearby.
The inside flashes with light, and Prophecy steps out of the
shine, much to the surprise of the others. Upon seeing them, the
usually-crazed fembot simply asks how long they have been in the
rain. Ripple answers that it has been twenty minutes or so –
Prophecy immediately orders them into the hole of light, and
tells them to wait for her.
Ripple: Erm… twenty minutes, thereabouts?
Prophecy: Walk into that light. Stay there and wait for my
return.
She beings to head off, and Straight-Aim notes that they cannot
leave the Dawn Katana behind. Prophecy pauses briefly, and nods,
before continuing on, while the others cautiously head into the
glowing disc of light. They find themselves in the cylindrical
chamber, walls still spinning and the facility entrance
inaccessible. All the while, Prophecy passes the Dawn Katana,
and places a small device on its hull, similar to one on her
chest – it generates a body-tight force-field, which quickly
turns invisible. That done, she continues on her way. Ripple
questions why the Vok would send them to this world, and Medusa
notes that their plans should become clear in time.
Ripple: I don’t understand… why did the Vok send us here? It’s
empty. Was it to meet Prophecy?
Medusa: Just stay patient. Give it time and whatever those
things have planned, we’ll find out.
Hummingstreak comments that he hates not being in control of
what happens to him, just as Prophecy enters, weapon still
smoking. She remarks that the RRG is destroyed, even as the
entrance to Audel fades. Hummingstreak asks what an RRG is, and
Prophecy notes that it is a Red Rain Generator, before informing
the group that they need to remain in the chamber while they are
sterilised. The process begins, and Straight-Aim asks what the
Red Rain is as Prophecy simply maintains a grim expression.
Prophecy steps back into the facility, and immediately loads up
data on the closest wall. The others follow her out of the
chamber, and are taken aback by the facility, as Prophecy
furrows her brow. She turns to them, and bluntly informs them
that they are already infected. She takes up her weapon and aims
it at them, causing Hummingstreak, Ripple and Straight-Aim to
panic. Only Medusa remains calm, and asks Prophecy what could be
so bad that she needs to terminate them.
Medusa: Feh. Throwing a gun around without an explanation.
What’s so bad that you feel the need to put us out of our
misery?
Slowly lowering her gun, the Aadorean wildcat-bot tells them to
follow her. In another area of the facility, Prophecy sits
beside a desk with the others in a half-circle around her; she
explains that Red Rain is a bio-weapon created by the
Anti-Cybertronian League. If a Cybertronian is exposed to it, it
shall seep into their body and, over the course of a week, soak
in towards the spark. The afflicted Cybertronian gradually feels
a numbing of senses, increased burning pain and a panicked
mental state, as their spark gradually loses its bond with the
shell. Prophecy adds that this is what the ACL consider to be
heroism, or at least a definitive end for those afflicted, just
as Hummingstreak curiously removes a device from her ear. She
instantly grabs him into a hug, excitedly cheering that he is
alive and asking how the others are, before noticing them too.
Prophecy: Hummingstreak! Yay! You’re alive, you’re not-dead! I
thought maybe you were in that explosion, or- hey, where are the
others? Oh, there they are! Hooray for not being in an
explosion!
She continues to act in her typical crazed state, while the
others attempt to process their imminent suffering, until Ripple
takes the device from Hummingstreak and places it back in
Prophecy’s ear. She immediately calms down, and apologises,
explaining that she has been using the device to focus her mind
while running the facility. She has been destroying the RRGs,
and other bio-weaponry, since the near-extinction. Necrocide
speaks up, taking credit for the event, and suggests a way to
stave off the effects of the Red Rain.
Smiling faintly, Prophecy notes that she thought it was
Necrocide in the container; the blob of a Valoranian remarks
that, as his race and Cybertronians are polar opposites, a thin
layer of Valoranian material outside their spark chamber should
prevent the Red Rain, specifically created to affect
Cybertronians, from getting to the spark. Ripple immediately
refuses to have their greatest enemy injected into her body,
although Necrocide asks if the ACL are not a greater threat than
him now.
Ripple: No. No way in the Pit. In case you’ve forgotten,
Necrocide is the greatest enemy our race has ever known. I’m not
having him injected into my spark chamber.
Necrocide: I’m the greatest? I’m flattered, but let’s face facts
– I’m a blob in a jar. Surely that organisation looking to
finish the job I started is a little more dangerous right now?
Prophecy ponders this, and considers that a minor quantity, no
longer connected psionically to Necrocide, could be safe to use.
She tells the others that they can explore the facility while
she prepares Necrocide’s samples, and takes the container off
elsewhere. A little while later, Ripple and Straight-Aim look
out over the Dawn Katana, being cleaned and sterilised by an
automated process. Straight-Aim asks why Ripple was so adamantly
against having Necrocide’s material within her, and she reminds
him of the scar on Medusa’s face and how he has made use of it.
What the villain is establishing is further contingency plans.
The stag-bot points out that Prophecy is making sure to break
the psionic link, but Ripple is still despondent, questioning
why the Vok would bring them here just to give them a slow
death. Hummingstreak rushes over to them, announcing that
Prophecy has finished. The gathered group are handed four
syringes, and Prophecy explains that they have the choice of
whether to use them or not, now or in the future.
Prophecy: Thank you for your patience. Each of these syringes
contains a small sample of Necrocide’s genetic material – and
all of his psionic ties are removed from it. I won’t force you
to use it. This is your choice. Take these and use them if and
when you feel you should.
Straight-Aim uses his immediately, while the others simply take
their syringes. Prophecy adds that she has two further things
for them – firstly, the fact that there is technology on Earth
that may provide a cure for the Red Rain. The others are
relieved upon hearing this. Prophecy then hands them a small
orb, stating that it shall activate at some point in the future
and they shall need to follow the instructions given to them.
The Maximals thank her, Medusa picks up Necrocide’s container,
and they head off as Prophecy watches on, smiling gently.
