Issue #1 – Twist in the Tale
Released: Tuesday 6th November 2012
Synopsis: In space above Cybertron, Waspinator watches the
gathered team of Cheetor, Silverbolt, Dinobot, Blackarachnia,
K****h and Nightscream. K****h is glowing with energy, warning
of the Legacy beginning. The Maximals are confused; distracted,
only Waspinator notices Tarantulas creeping up from nearby.
Without warning, Tarantulas blasts a gaping hole through
Cheetor’s chest. Chuckling like mad, eyes purple, he praises
Unicron for giving him the opportunity. He vanishes before the
surprised Maximals can turn on him. As Nightscream tends to
K****h, the Maximals wonder what to do.
Waspinator joins them, awkwardly asking what is happening.
Silverbolt quickly recaps the final moments of the Unicron Wars,
the arrival of Dinobot, K****h and Nightscream, and K****h’s
brief possession. The tribal fembot notes that they have to
avert the process.
Blackarachnia asks how they have any hope of stopping it, and
notes that Cheetor has literally just been murdered. Dinobot
notes that Blackarachnia knew Tarantulas better than any of
them, and should have an idea of his intentions, but she snaps
that he never knew him that well.
As the pair start to argue, Nightscream brings up the Transwarp
portal that took most of the team to prehistoric Earth long ago.
If they indeed need to gather the DNA of one planet’s entire
existence’s worth of life, and four of them are familiar with
Earth, then it would be the best option. Although Waspinator
notes that they would have to alter the Transwarp portal to take
them as far back as possible, Silverbolt notes that Cheetor had
recovered a temporal radial device from Unicron.
Later, the Maximals give Cheetor a funeral on Cybertron. K****h
is on-edge, warning that they must head off quickly. Indeed, at
that moment, a Decepticon materialises; confused, he angrily
demands information from the Maximals. Thankfully, police
officers, including Velocity, swoop in to apprehend him.
The Decepticon wrestles with the officers, injuring a few, but
Velocity manages to shackle him. As other officers take the
Decepticon away, Velocity notices that the Maximals have
vanished. Finding this suspicious, he heads off to find them.
In a ship hangar, the Maximals have acquired a spaceship.
Dinobot recalls the coordinates of the Transwarp portal as the
ship starts up; Velocity watches it head off, but manages to
catch its production number. Reporting back to the station, his
call is intercepted by Cataclysm, who offers him a way to follow
them wherever they go.
Later still. The Maximals’ new ship arrives at the Transwarp
portal; onboard, Silverbolt notes that they will have to pass
through the portal individually. The six head out of the ship,
and Nightscream uses the temporal radial device to alter the
Transwarp portal.
One-by-one, the six enter the portal, cascading through time.
Waspinator is the last to head through, tentative; briefly, he
sees something peculiar in the distance, but shrugging it off,
he heads through the portal.
The six come to on Earth, at the dawn of the animal kingdom.
All but K****h find themselves reformatted into hybrid versions
of all of their previous forms; Silverbolt and Waspinator are
dismayed to find that they now mimic Jetstorm and Thrust, the
Vehicon programming overriding their other previous forms.
A little unsure on what to do, they are quickly confronted by
the ancient Spark-Hunter, another returned Decepticon. However,
a wise old bot, she asks the Maximals their purpose. They
explain, leaving the Decepticon contemplative.
She decides to give her life for them to use her alt-mode as a
ship. Crushing her own spark, she transforms, leaving herself in
ship mode. Nightscream christens the ship the Legacy-Hunter, and
they board, a little taken aback at her sacrifice.
Activating the ship’s programming, Blackarachnia finds that
there is a chrono-generator on board, allowing them to travel
through the time vortex. There are also DNA scanners, which
Dinobot notes is convenient. K****h is stood by herself,
awkwardly.
Nightscream approaches her, asking if how she is feeling. She
notes that she is uncomfortable with all of the changes in her
life. He assures her that she will enjoy the experience,
especially as Earth is supposed to be as beautiful as her
planet… of course, not at this point in time.
Dinobot and Blackarachnia head off to scan the early species,
leaving the others aboard the ship. Nightscream turns to the
others, ordering Silverbolt to map out the journey, Waspinator
to run maintenance checks on the ship, and for K****h to check
the ship and assign quarters.
Back on Cybertron in 2306, Velocity meets with Cataclysm. She
apologies for intercepting his call, noting that things are
going differently to how she had intended. Velocity asks for an
explanation, and the secret agent gets flustered; she tells him
that, in essence, she has been keeping an eye on him, but he has
now become involved in events in a different manner to how he
should.
Continuing, she explains that the two of them must intercept
the Maximals quickly now, because with their leader dead, they
will follow down a very different path. Velocity is still
confused, but Cataclysm warps them through time anyway; they
arrive in Pleistocene South America, leaving Velocity astounded.
Cataclysm quickly scans a Smilodon, and tells Velocity that he
should wait for the Maximals to arrive before scanning a beast
mode of his own. The police officer is still confused, even more
so when a Phorusrhacos randomly attacks Cataclysm. The terror
bird transforms, unveiling itself to be Razorbeak; he threatens
to kill the two for the glory of Megatron, but Cataclysm shoves
an info-stamp against his head.
Dazed, Razorbeak falls, asking how he could ever not be a
Decepticon. Cataclysm explains that a lot is going wrong, but he
would have spent a lot of time trapped in the time vortex before
joining the Maximals. Velocity asks how she knows what was
“supposed” to happen.
Turning to him, she tells him that, moments after the Unicron
Wars ended, a strange being visited her, downloading everything
that should be into her head, to help her prepare for what will
happen instead. She explains that it starts with a death… and
ends with a birth.
Somewhere else entirely, Tarantulas is slaving away over a
peculiar device, his eyes still purple. He notes to a
not-present Unicron that everything is going to plan… all the
while, thousands of spider drones are crawling all over the
walls.
So… what's changed?
-
opening episode. Cheetor didn’t die.
-
team seemingly just headed straight to the Transwarp portal
without a ship or a visit down to Cybertron. Or they may have
gone in the ship that Dinobot, K****h and Nightscream took from
Teyan but… eh.
-
Cataclysm, who had been watching Velocity (both as a job and a
crush), had sent him to Cretaceous Mongolia, then attempted to
follow, although she wound up in Pleistocene South America. The
Legacy-Hunter crew managed to locate both of them, and their
connection was revealed.
-
Nemesis; when it crashed in South America after the Beast Wars,
he and five others awoke, headed off, took beast modes and ended
up fighting the Legacy-Hunter crew. Razorbeak was flung off into
the time vortex, eventually being recovered in Legacy season 3
and joining the crew. He quickly became a true Maximal and a
major member of the team for many titles.
-
in Transformers: Core, where she worked on removing Velocity’s
Horseman programming, with Sunstorm as an informant. Of course,
it also recalls Layla Miller of Marvel’s X-Factor info-dumping
her child self so she “knows stuff”, so make of that what you
will.
-
film, but then Unicron is a multiversal singularity, so…
wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey, universey-wuniversy), it becomes
apparent that Tarantulas serving Unicron is merely him following
Megatron’s later orders against Megatron’s earlier (Beast era)
orders. Of course, Tarantulas notes that Unicron gave him the
opportunity to kill Cheetor, which implies that this alternate
timeline is part of Unicron’s plans…

I found it a bit confusing, kind of like the first episode of
Cybertron, but this was very interesting stuff. I found a few
typos and grammar errors, which I'll tell you of later, but this
is quite compelling stuff. It's nice seeing the original cast of
Beast Wars, and I'm presently wondering where Dinobot came from
and where Rattrap is. The Cheetor death was unexpected, also
wondering how Tarantulas is alive. It's cool to see Razorbeak,
as I'm familiar with him, and he's as suave as usual. The what's
changed section was very insightful and quite interesting as
well. Good start.

I guess it's just me not being used to writing loads on
Tuesdays? XD
Yeah, in all honesty, the what's changed section could've
elaborated more on the original Legacy stuff too, heh.
Basically, it's set immediately after the end of the Unicron
Wars from Universe - hence Tarantulas being alive. As for
Dinobot... well, he was part of the cast of the story that
K****h/Firecloud came from, so whatever her reasoning was... but
in my interpretation, he was the very first bot to come back via
the Legacy. Rattrap... I just never used him. XD Well, once.
Legacy season 7. With Botanica. Just cos. :P
Razorbeak... not sure on 'suave', per-se... but I suppose so. XD
I'll try to make the 'what's changed' stuff more useful from
next issue onwards... after all, lots more changes are to come.
;)

Issue #2 – Loopholes
Released: Tuesday 20th November 2012
Synopsis: Aboard the Legacy-Hunter, Nightscream is logging the
crew’s previous adventure; he notes that they are coping well,
albeit having repeated encounters with the Decepticon
Thundercracker. He makes note of the lack of respect as a leader
he is receiving; even the Legacy-revived Dinobots refused to
work with the team, as they did not feel the weight of
leadership within him.
Suddenly, the ship is rocked heavily. Silverbolt notes that the
area they are trying to land in – Australia, 106 million years
ago – is wracked with temporal fluctuations. Apparently,
something in the area is in a state of flux, which is making it
difficult for them to land.
Nightscream asks if they can find a specific safe point to aim
for. Blackarachnia is unsure, but the young leader insists.
Waspinator tracks down “the eye of the storm” and sets the
coordinates in, as Silverbolt pilots the ship down. The rocking
of the ship steadies as the team braces to land.
[Two page spread]The Legacy-Hunter slowly lands down amidst
chaotic temporal energies; blues and reds whisking around the
ship like a tornado of light. Around the ship is a frosted
jungle, gloomy and cold.
Safely landed, Nightscream orders Dinobot, K****h and
Waspinator to follow him out. Dinobot asks if it is a good idea
for them to just head out, and Nightscream responds that they
shall find out, before brazenly opening the door.
As the others follow their leader, the four find that the
environment is indeed chilly, but there is also a particularly
strong amount of negative temporal energy… in essence,
‘absence’. Waspinator spots someone out of the corner of his
eye, but when he turns to look, there is no one there.
On a colony planet, a Maximal is hiding in his home, back
against the front door, cowering. The door is smashed apart, the
Maximal sent flying. Abydos prowls in, cutlass in-hand, and
demands the Maximal’s most valuable possessions. Shaking, the
Maximal points towards some kind of metallic artefact.
As Abydos leaves the house, item in-hand, we see that her
pirates are storming the colony. Heading towards the ship, she
is intercepted by Tarantulas, who informs her that he has a
proposition for her.
Thundercracker materialises in Cretaceous Australia. Looking
around, he quickly finds the Maximals’ tracks. However, he is
attacked from behind; Snowstorm is his assailant, but she
vanishes as he turns to face her. Angered, he transforms into
falconfly mode and heads off after the Maximals.
The Maximals continue through the forest, scanning animals as
they do so. K****h is evidently cold; Nightscream tries to keep
her warm, although the tribal Maximal insists that she is fine,
using her pyrokinetic abilities to keep herself warm. At that
moment, the four hear a buzzing sound.
As Thundercracker streaks past, Dinobot raises his sword,
slicing the Decepticon’s wing. He transforms as he tumbles to
the ground, and prepares to fight the Maximals… only for
Snowstorm to materialise right between them. She calls out for
Cheetor, before vanishing yet again.
Taken aback, the Maximals quickly regain themselves as
Thundercracker attacks them. The four manage to handle him with
relative ease, though K****h and Waspinator receive injuries.
Nightscream uses his sonic abilities to force Thundercracker
against a tree, and K****h uses two knives to impale him to it.
Dinobot holds his sword to the Decepticon’s neck, but
Nightscream orders him to stand down. Reluctantly, the
former-Predacon does so.
The leader tells Thundercracker that he will not tolerate his
continual attacks on them. He suggests a truce; before
Thundercracker can respond, the temporal energy strikes up,
washing the area in a chaotic storm.
A Decepticon exploratory ship is heading through space; the
bots onboard start to worry when they detect a pirate ship
approaching. As one of the crew, Vanguard, starts to strategise,
he receives a communication from the ship – Tarantulas, flanked
by Abydos, introduces himself, momentarily referring to the
Decepticon as Vapour.
Stuck in the midst of the temporal storm, Nightscream is
approached by Snowstorm. The fembot explains that she was
supposed to join the Maximals on their journey (although not
yet, in their timeline), but the absence of Cheetor has rendered
her entire timeline moot.
Nightscream questions how things can be so set in stone that a
change such as Cheetor’s death would render Snowstorm’s
existence in a fluctuating state; the fembot explains that
reality had a very stable path, and Cheetor’s existence was
necessary for it.
Looking concerned now, she tells him to forget the Legacy
quest. She reaches out to his DNA scanner, touching it and
downloading ‘what’ll be needed’ onto it, and informs him that he
must head to Pleistocene South America. Nightscream is insistent
that they must continue, or the universe will be at stake, but
she tells him that far more will be at stake if they waste time
continuing.
She vanishes as the storm subsides. Dinobot notes that it will
only be temporary and suggests they act quickly. Hesitantly,
Nightscream instead orders that they return to the ship. The
others are confused, but their leader orders them to head back.
As they do so, Waspinator notices that Thundercracker has
vanished.
Pleistocene South America, night. Velocity is looking up at the
stars as Cataclysm approaches him. She tells him not to fret, as
the morning will bring the others. Velocity asks why he should
believe her, and she puts something in his hand.
As she walks off, wishing him a good night and suggesting he
get some rest, he looks at the object in his hand. The object is
the Tallus.
So… what’s changed?
-
recurring presence throughout season 1. First appearing in the
Carboniferous Period, he continued attacking the Maximals until
100 million years in the future in tropical Antarctica, the
origin of his falconfly mode, where Nightscream finally overcame
his fear of insects and his tight moral boundaries, ruthlessly
killing the Decepticon. Thundercracker has reappeared a few
times since, typically using the name Saviour instead.
-
encountered the Legacy-revived Dinobots. Cheetor and Grimlock
formed an alliance, and the two teams split into strike forces
across the Cretaceous (including the mission seen here, to
mid-Cretaceous Australia), before reuniting during the K/T
extinction, where the Dinobots decided to tend to their organic
brethren.
-
nature:
i.
season 2, in which she was discovered in a Legacy-Hunter escape
pod in Cretaceous Australia, she seemed fully aware of the
Maximals’ identities, especially Cheetor, who she was attracted
to. After Cheetor received major injuries in the season 2 finale
and was placed in Cryo-stasis, Snowstorm watched over him until
she, too, received injuries and was placed in the next chamber
along. In the season 3 mid-finale, she awoke while the
Legacy-Hunter was above Cretaceous Australia, a month before the
events of season 2, and preceded to leave the ship via the
escape pod.
ii.
was created in the season 6 finale, wherein K****h, trapped in
Megatron’s universe with Nightscream and Razorbeak, recreated
the other Maximals via spark-connections she had formed. When
the team then re-entered the restored standard universe,
Snowstorm now had a second existence, outside of her
never-ending temporal loop. This existential paradox was closed
when K****h, reaching full godhood in the Reboot series finale,
created the entire first paradox and the Snowstorm living in it
from the non-looped Snowstorm. It was due to this incident that
the non-looped Snowstorm renamed herself Paradox.
iii.
“hard-wired” into reality; even if she died, she would
eventually restore back to life anyway as her very existence is
a significant part of the temporal structure of the universe.
Naturally, she does not restore in the same condition as before,
which usually results in altered personalities. In one of these
incidents, she restored shortly after the death of the Kyroska
known as Cloudraker, gaining a similar form to her. Ultimately,
K****h duplicated Paradox’s present form, sending it back in
time where it would become Cloudraker.
iv.
had a profound effect on the existence of Snowstorm/Paradox. His
presence was a crucial part of her first paradox, and without
that, the other two paradoxes are also destabilised. The
temporal storms are, in essence, reality trying to make sense of
the mess that is now in-place, where all of these
structurally-sound paradoxes are thrown into question. Snowstorm
is just about capable of bleeding through, complete with intact
memories of her entire Legacies existence.
-
4, as captain of a pirate crew. She quickly found herself
joining the Maximals.
-
known as Vanguard, a member of a Decepticon exploratory crew who
encountered an alien sorcerer. This nefarious being was the one
who cursed him with a vaporous form. As this event occurred only
decades before Reconfiguration (which was set around the 34th
century, if not later), Vapour is naturally still living his old
life.
-
incredible, physics-defying powers crafted during Cybertron’s
golden age. When the Puzzle Pieces were brought together, they
were supposed to be able to generate a type of wormhole, but
instead, the full Puzzle was capable of creating energy, once
again a physical impossibility. The Tallus is a control panel
for the Puzzle, but can also fire beams of pure energy and grant
or remove life. While the concept of the Puzzle Pieces, and the
vast majority of them, were introduced in Reconfiguration Act I,
the Tallus was seen in the final scene of Empire, worn by
Paradox (who had not been seen throughout the series, in spite
of a large number of other characters appearing), as she
pondered what lay ahead for the Maximals.

Issue #3 – Storm Clouds Gather
Released: Tuesday 4th December 2012
Synopsis: Cybertron, 1 billion years in the future. The planet’s
dying days. In the ruins of Iacon, Nightshade is hunting down
Maximals. Rubble falls, and he manages to lose track of them…
and it is at this point that Tarantulas, Abydos and Vanguard
appear.
All the while, the Legacy-Hunter lands down in Pleistocene
South America. On board, Nightscream prepares the others to head
outside. Most of the crew, especially Dinobot, are apprehensive
about abandoning their quest, but Nightscream insists that what
they are doing is right. He opens the door and leads his team
out.
Dinobot picks up his sword as he and K****h leave the ship.
They join the other bots, stood by the ship and looking out at
the savannah-like environment. Not too far away are Velocity,
Cataclysm and Razorbeak.
As the Maximals meet one another, Nightscream and Cataclysm
share a warm introduction. He also hands her the DNA scanner,
which she immediately uses to reformat Velocity. He transforms,
immediately approving of this new form, as Silverbolt asks why
they needed to head to this point in time.
Cataclysm explains that the universe has gone down a different
path than it should have; before she can continue, Dinobot asks
what that means. The secret agent says that events in the future
were to bring about major events affecting – and helping to
establish – all of reality, and that with them not occurring in
the same way, everything is going wrong.
Even as Blackarachnia asks how Cataclysm could know that,
Razorbeak alerts the others to a forthcoming attack… as his
former Decepticon allies surround them, headed by
Thundercracker. Waspinator awkwardly remarks that he forgot to
mention the Decepticon’s previous disappearance.
Thundercracker demands that the Maximals surrender, or they
will be terminated. Before Nightscream can do anything,
Cataclysm takes the Tallus from Velocity and fires, heavily
injuring one of the Decepticons. The others frantically start
fighting back; Nightscream scolds Cataclysm’s attack, but she
says that she has a plan.
Elsewhere, Abydos, Vanguard and Nightshade are talking about
their lives. Vanguard notes that Abydos is being very quiet
about hers; the pirate retorts that he would not be able to
understand what she has been through, as Tarantulas chimes in
from nearby that he will soon enough.
As the insane Predacon works on some kind of device, he tells
the three that they will be making one more stop, and then the
fun can begin. Abydos asks why Vanguard will understand her
past, as Tarantulas cackles to himself. He completes his work on
the device.
The Maximals continue their fight in the Pleistocene, and
Velocity, Cataclysm and Razorbeak all seem to be acting on some
sort of plan. The Legacy-Hunter crew simply try to assist,
beating down the Decepticons as best as possible.
K****h is the first to realise Cataclysm’s plan – the
Decepticons are being herded into the centre of the fight.
Cataclysm orders Velocity off; he transforms and darts away,
towards the ship.
As the fight continues, Cataclysm yells for the Maximals to
fall back. Nightscream reiterates this as the bots move away…
and the Legacy-Hunter opens the time vortex directly where the
Decepticons are. They are immediately sucked through,
Thundercracker included, before the vortex vanishes.
Silverbolt and Blackarachnia immediately question how Velocity
could know how to access the time vortex from the ship; as the
police officer reappears, Cataclysm explains that the DNA
scanner was full of information, not just Velociraptor DNA.
Velocity apologises for not being so clear.
Angry now, Dinobot holds Cataclysm at sword-point, demanding to
know how she is so in-the-know about everything. She quips that
she it is her job, as she is a secret agent, before clarifying
that she had information downloaded into her much like Velocity.
She continues, telling them that she knows exactly what they
must do next, but first they must trust one another. Some of the
Maximals are, naturally, unsure of this, but Nightscream insists
that this is what they must do. K****h and Waspinator side with
him, but Silverbolt, Dinobot and Blackarachnia are not so sure.
In the depths of space, Tarantulas, Abydos, Vanguard and
Nightshade are drifting near a black hole – as close as can be,
in fact, without being drawn in. Tarantulas is setting up his
device; he activates it, and a single bead of light appears. It
rapidly expands, growing into a humanoid shape.
As the figure stops glowing, it is revealed as an Other –
Claws. She immediately questions what has happened, and
Tarantulas explains that he pulled her from the Void because he
would like her to aid him. She notes that she is in his debt,
and asks how she can help.
The spider-bot explains that he is working towards a glorious
goal, and requires the assistance of four specific beings. The
alien girl swears to do whatever he asks, and he tells her to
stay still as he presses the device to her chest. A surge of
energy pulses through her, as the others watch.
Reconfigured as a Cybertronian, Claws looks over her new form,
and approves of it. Tarantulas then turns to the others, and
orders both Abydos and Nightshade, and Vanguard with Claws, to
follow the coordinates he gave them earlier, retrieve the
“items” and return to the specified location.
In South America, Silverbolt, Dinobot and Blackarachnia have
finally conceded, just for the time being, as they have no other
option. Cataclysm asks Nightscream for permission to board the
ship; Nightscream accepts, and she, Velocity and Razorbeak head
on-board.
The rest of the Maximals follow, although Nightscream notes to
Waspinator that he feels as though he does not belong as leader.
Waspinator responds that Nightscream is the best leader he has
ever had, which makes Nightscream smile. The ship’s doors shut.
In an alleyway, Tarantulas and his team meet up. Abydos is
visibly unhappy, as Tarantulas asks for the items – the two
halves of Abydos’ spark chamber key. Holding them together, he
locks them into place, purging the Beast’s essence from the
pirate. Like a cloud of crimson smoke, it rises into the air…
and we see that the five are on present-day Cybertron.
So… what’s changed?
-
Decepticons (alongside Tarantulas, Bushfire and later,
Holocaust) during Cybertron’s final days, 1 billion years in the
future. Nightshade went on to join Shockwave’s Decepticons in
Reboot season 2, before becoming a Maximal in season 3. He died
during the Download series finale, and while an alternate
Nightshade took part in the events of Endgame through to
Convergence, the original revived as Uproar in Clockwise. Uproar
went on to join and lead the Maximals. A clone Nightshade
appeared during Exodus.
-
Legacy season 1, they confronted the Decepticons; later, in
season 2, they confronted them again. In this encounter,
Silverbolt and Velocity worked together to open up the time
vortex to absorb Razorbeak and his allies; Velocity was a
crew-member at this point, and had assistance. Razorbeak was
pulled out of the vortex in Legacy season 3, while his comrades
have never been seen again.
-
Void. When they manage to break through into universes, usually
by attaching to the life-forces of inter-universal travellers,
they replicate their target’s species. In Reboot season 2, the
Others generated Cybertronian forms due to the machinations of
Tarantulas (albeit influenced by Megatron in his head) and the
transference of the Legacies beings back from the Reboot hybrid
universe. Claws outlived her fellow Others, who all died during
Reboot season 3; Claws joined the Maximals, and although she
died in Reboot season 4, she was later restored and has had
various tenures amongst the Maximals
-
arc involved her demonic side and its cause and consequences.
The second half of the season saw the Maximals gathering the two
halves of her spark chamber key from the dawn and death of the
universe; these were two semi-circular pieces carved from her
chest, which, when put together and put in-place, purged the
demonic influence of the Beast from her spark. When this
happened, Abydos became free of his taint, but her spark was no
longer capable of being possessed by the Beast. However, the
damage while she was possessed was already done, and the satanic
being was released on Cybertron. Abydos used her connection with
him to eliminate him by having Razorbeak kill her.

---------------------------------------------------------
Issue #4 – Awakening
Released: Tuesday 18th December 2012
Synopsis: The plume of demonic smoke that is the slither of
essence of the Beast – formerly residing within Abydos – heads
across Cybertron, over buildings and across canyons. Reaching a
relatively small canyon, it descends down, deeper and deeper…
Down into a realm of reddish-orange light, malformed carvings
and a gargantuan gate; here, the plume passes through a tiny gap
in the gate. Back on the surface, Tarantulas cackles. He and his
team have tracked the plume, and now have the location of the
gate. The spider-bot tells his four warriors to prepare… they
are about to tear open the Pit.
All the while, the Maximals are already on Cybertron, watching
over Iacon from atop the Cybertronian Police Force central
building. Velocity is inside, doing paperwork to explain the
situation. Dinobot asks Cataclysm what they are waiting for,
just as a rumbling noise begins. Blackarachnia suggests that no
one make a witty remark.
Down beneath the planet’s surface, Tarantulas and his team are
stood outside the gate, which is slowly reconfiguring and
unlocking. Vanguard enquires as to what the plan is, and Abydos
notes that beyond the gate lies the realm of the Beast:
assumedly, Tarantulas plans on unleashing him upon Cybertron.
Tarantulas confirms this, but adds that there is more.
The Beast possesses many incredible abilities, some of which
could almost rival Unicron himself. Those powers would give one
the chance to do astounding things… The gate finishes unlocking,
and slowly starts to open. A large, red hand immediately comes
out of the gap.
As Tarantulas and his team watch on, the Beast emerges from the
Pit. He chuckles upon seeing Abydos, and congratulates her on
completing her task. The Cybertronian devil then ascends upon a
pillar of rock, bursting through Cybertron’s surface.
The Maximals feel the rumbling, but the events are too far
away; still, Cataclysm’s access to secret agent surveillance
networks allow her to locate the disturbance. As she confirms
that this is what she was expecting, Waspinator immediately
orders everyone onto the Legacy-Hunter. Velocity quickly joins
them as they rush onboard.
The Beast rampages across Cybertron, absorbing essences and
generating infernos even as tanks attack him. Tarantulas and his
team watch from a distance, as Claws questions the chaos. The
spider-bot notes that one planet is a fair loss for the gains of
reality, as he primes a gun-like device. He takes aim at the
Beast.
Firing, a wave of chaotic energy hits the titan, and he
immediately doubles over in pain. Tarantulas cackles madly as
the Beast is slowly brought to his knees. As the Legacy-Hunter
appears in the distance, the villain sends his warriors off to
keep the Maximals at bay.
Indeed, as the Maximal ship draws ever-closer, Silverbolt
suggests they take the opportunity and attack the Beast while he
is distracted. He hardly gets the chance to finish his sentence
when the ship’s wing is hit; Nightshade has hijacked one of the
tanks and fired upon the Maximals. As the Legacy-Hunter spirals
out of control, it collides with the Beast.
The red titan knocks the ship away in pain, and it slams into
the ground, in flames. The Maximals quickly evacuate, as Abydos,
Vanguard and Claws attack them. All the while, Tarantulas
continues draining the Beast, until the gun emits a beep.
Smirking, he ceases “fire”, before resetting the gun, turning it
on himself and firing into his chest.
In spite of the gaping wound in his chest, the insane bot
cackles maniacally – as energies warp his body. The Beast glares
at Tarantulas, and goes to attack him… but his powers have been
diminished. Tarantulas attacks the Beast with his own powers,
heavily damaging him; the titan collapses, interrupting the
fighting below.
Even as the combatants look on in horror, Tarantulas’ warriors
are enveloped in power. Tarantulas christens them as his
Horsemen – Abydos as War, Vanguard as Famine, Claws as
Pestilence, and Nightshade as Death. He then unleashes a massive
wave of power, crippling Cybertron, cutting its power and
igniting countless infernos across the surface.
The Maximals are, understandably, horrified – the devastation
done to the planet in an instant is one thing, but the legendary
Beast felled by his own powers is another. Blackarachnia quickly
steps forward, demanding to know from Tarantulas what he is
doing. The villain chuckles that this is none of her concern.
As Razorbeak notices that Velocity has gone, Nightscream asks
K****h if she can formulate some kind of spell to ward
Tarantulas off. The tribal fembot states that she may be able to
lock his abilities for a short time, but it may not work. She
starts working on her spell as Blackarachnia continues her
verbal tirade against Tarantulas.
Silverbolt stands defiantly in front of Blackarachnia, while
warning her to not act so brashly. Tarantulas is amused by their
“antics”, and notes that all of them are criminals in his eyes.
To that end, they will be imprisoned. The ground beneath
Silverbolt and Blackarachnia opens up, and they are enveloped.
K****h quickly uses her spell, even as Velocity appears from
nowhere and follows Silverbolt and Blackarachnia underground.
The spell hits Tarantulas, and he finds that his powers are now
sealed off – although he, too, is aware that it is only
momentarily. He orders his Horsemen to deal with the other
Maximals.
They act quickly, using their newfound abilities to grapple
with their enemies, even as more tanks come in to deal with the
situation. Waspinator and K****h are quickly thrown down the
hole.
Dinobot, Cataclysm and Razorbeak soon end up thrown down too,
with Abydos and Razorbeak sharing a glance as it happens.
Nightscream glares at Tarantulas and notes that Maximals always
stick together, before voluntarily following his team down.
Tarantulas smirks, even as his Horsemen ask if they really
trust the Maximals to be so easily defeated. The villain notes
that it does not matter – they are now hell-bound, and with his
powers already restoring, he can sense their imprisonment. He
tells the four that they are to head back to their ship and
start the next phase of his plan.
As he turns to leave, a voice orders him to stay still. It is
one of the Maximals in the tanks, talking via speaker. The
Maximal yells that they will open fire if Tarantulas continues
leaving, and notes that he is heavily outnumbered. The villain
smirks to himself, and slowly turns to face them.
An army of demonic beings appear behind him, and he retorts
that he has recently gained numbers of his own.
So… what’s changed?
-
unleashed upon Cybertron. His plan was to take over the planet,
converting it into further regions of the Pit, and assimilate
the populace into his people. Thankfully, the planet was already
preparing evacuations, and while many locations were damaged in
his attack, the Cybertronian population was mostly unscathed.
Although the Beast was killed via his connection to Abydos, who
sacrificed herself to defeat him, he remained in the astral
plane and possessed K****h in the finale of Legacy season 7,
before attempting to possess all Cybertronians in the following
season finale. He has made appearances since, although these are
usually less significant. The most important was in Corruption,
where he sent his seven sins to gain the Book of Life; after
this, he became a member of the united team of villains, but was
killed by Legion, the amalgamated form of almost all Revons.
-
Legacies. The initial four in Legacy season 4 were War (Rhinox),
Famine (Cheetor), Pestilence (Terrorsaur) and Death (K****h). In
Reboot season 5, Megatron confronted the Beast and stole the
ability to create Horsemen from him (hence the Beast’s use of
sin-based bots instead in Corruption). The first of these were
Velocity (War), Famine (Starscream), Pestilence (Shockwave) and
Death (Chameleark); later, in Endgame, four alternate Megatrons
were granted the roles and accompanying powers. During Parallel
Worlds, the warped Shockwave, known as Laserwave, assigned
Rainburst, Claws, Trypticon and Chameleark as his Acolytes, in
positions similar to Horsemen, although without the accompanying
powers, they were not titled as such.

Issue #5 – Fires Burning
Released: Tuesday 8th January 2013
Synopsis: The ruins of Cybertron. Metal is strewn over the
place, fires raging over organic material, buildings left in
shreds. There is no life to be found.
Deep below the surface of Cybertron, Nightscream is in a cell,
with demonic bars (and equally demonic guards) keeping him in.
Apparently, the other Maximals are distanced out, so they cannot
communicate. Still, Nightscream uses a Morse-code messaging
system to communicate with the others.
Across the prison facility, the other Maximals respond in kind.
The demonic guards are apparently oblivious, some of them
discussing the take-over of Tarantulas. It seems that he has
already left Cybertron, and the Beast has completely vanished
too.
Suddenly, Velocity asks his guards if he can leave his cell.
The guards retort that he is a prisoner, so obviously he cannot.
The police officer insists, saying jokingly that he has enjoyed
his stay but has places to go. Touching the cell’s lock, he
manages to unlock it, and walks out of his cell.
The guards attack, but he easily knocks them out, noting to
their unconscious bodies that he has spent time analysing their
movements to figure out how to take them down. Using a
Morse-code message again, he quickly tracks down his team-mates.
As Waspinator sits, evidently bored, in his cell, Velocity
takes out the guards, and frees him. Waspinator thanks his ally
for freeing him, and asks who the next closest is. The other
Maximals appear around the corner, leaving Waspinator hurt that
he was left til last.
Nightscream recounts the next phase of the plan; locate an
escape route. This is, of course, easier said than done, as the
Pit is practically a labyrinth. Cataclysm opens an access point
nearby, but Silverbolt quickly pulls her back – wisely so, as a
living computer virus pops out of the port, dying quickly as it
cannot jump into anyone.
Dinobot notes that the Pit is a dangerous place, and they must
keep attentive. The best idea is to stick together and search
for an exit, for as long as it takes. Nightscream agrees,
although some of the others have their doubts. Nevertheless,
they realise that they must stick together, and follow
Nightscream as he sets off.
As the group continue on, Nightscream apologises to K****h for
getting her into this mess. She notes that it is okay; after
all, it is interesting to see new worlds, even if her life is at
risk.
A group of guards appear around the corner, but the Maximals
quickly fight back. Dinobot and Razorbeak comment on one
another’s swordsmanship as they take out guards.
In short order, the Maximals manage to take out the guards,
leaving them in a pile on the floor. Nightscream suggests they
follow the guards’ footsteps back, and they may find an exit
route. He starts to lead the group, but Silverbolt does not
follow after.
He raises the point that they may end up walking into a large
group of guards, and they would be unable to cope with a large
number of them. Nightscream reasons that they may discover an
exit route sooner, too; all the while, Velocity starts following
markings on the floor.
The others soon notice, and start following him; asking him
what he is doing, he explains that the markings will likely
direct them somewhere, and the slight alterations in the paths
likely denote distinct routes.
He turns a corner, and the others follow, unsure if this is
indeed the wisest route to take. Blackarachnia ponders aloud how
much has changed since their incarceration; Cataclysm notes that
there is a way of finding out.
As the group turn another corner, they encounter another guard.
Cataclysm quickly pins him to the wall, and demands to know what
has occurred on Cybertron. The guard snaps back that he will not
tell anything, but Dinobot draws his sword against the guard’s
throat.
Cautiously, the demonic being states that the planet is in
ruins, with most of its population dead and those who survived
now off-planet. Tarantulas has taken many of the demonic beings
and left to parts unknown. Cataclysm then demands to know the
way out.
The guard explains that they are currently in the Pit
dimension, and with Tarantulas off-world, the only way out is
the Styx portal, located at the heart of the Pit. Nightscream
asks which sets of markings they must follow to reach this, and
the guard indicates a specific set.
Cataclysm lets him go, and turns to the others, suggesting that
this is their plan of action for now. Without warning, the guard
stabs her through the back, commenting on the adage of ‘never
turn your back on the opponent’. He throws her body to the
floor.
Velocity and Waspinator are shocked, while Dinobot and
Silverbolt both swiftly attack and kill the guard. K****h
attempts to revive Cataclysm, but her actions are fruitless –
the fembot is dead.
As Velocity picks up her body, Blackarachnia asks what they are
supposed to do now… they no longer have any idea what “should
have happened”. Nightscream suggests they use their initiative,
as they continue down the path.
All the while, a large number of demonic beings are preparing
themselves; gathering armour, weaponry and more. One of them,
apparently their leader, is ordering them to prepare to confront
and kill the prisoners.
The entire legion is ready to hunt the Maximals down, and they
swarm from the heart of the Pit into every corridor and
passageway.
So… what’s changed?
-
Legacies is growing stronger, and so there are fewer
similarities than ever before. The Maximals were never trapped
in the Pit, and Cataclysm has never been killed outside of
group-deaths (such as in the Annihilation event in Transformers:
Reconfiguration, and off-screen between Darkest Hour and
Transformers: Twilight Voyage of the Fibonacci)

Issue #6 – The Cost of Virtue
Released: Tuesday 22nd January 2013
Synopsis: The Maximals continue through the Pit, silent. The
scenery is constantly the same, dark reds and blacks, brimstone
and metal.
Waspinator approaches Velocity, and quietly consoles him over
the death of Cataclysm. The police officer remarks that he
hardly knew her, and is more shocked at her death than emotional
about it; Waspinator admits that he assumed that Velocity had
feelings for her, which Velocity is flustered by.
Nightscream tells them to be quiet – he can hear more demonic
beings approaching. The Maximals head down another corridor as
the beings charge past. Once they pass, the group continue
following the markings. Blackarachnia remarks that she would
never have assumed the Pit to be like this; more torture and
agony than a spooky labyrinth.
Suddenly, Velocity realises that he is no longer carrying
Cataclysm’s body. The entire team are surprised, as none of them
remember him ever putting her down. Dinobot suggests they
quickly continue on, but Velocity insists on retracing their
steps to find Cataclysm’s body. Nightscream insists that they
make their way out, and Velocity storms off to find the body on
his own.
A demonic being attacks him without warning, and the other
Maximals immediately head to his aid, only for more beings to
lunge out of the shadows, holding them back. The fighting
escalates quickly, as the Maximals give their all to fight off
their assailants.
Razorbeak manages to slay his attackers first, but suddenly
notices a wound on his chest that he does not remember
receiving. He quickly realises what is happening – the group are
losing their perception of time. He alerts the others, but finds
that they have already finished their fights too. They are
surprised by his revelation; Velocity reiterates that he is
going to find Cataclysm’s body, but Nightscream orders him to
stay with them.
He continues that they no longer have any idea how long they
have been in the Pit – it may have been days. They must escape
as quickly as possible, and work to stop Tarantulas. Cataclysm
is already gone, and they do not have much hope of finding her
body. Velocity insists that any hope is enough, but Dinobot
knocks the officer out with the flat of his sword.
Nightscream thanks Dinobot, and continues leading his group on
as Dinobot and Silverbolt carry Velocity along. K****h questions
Nightscream if conjuring some sort of spell may help with the
time dilation, but the leader assumes that it is an effect of
the dimension, and would be too difficult for K****h to combat.
All the while, the leader of the demonic beings is brooding in
the heart of the Pit. Two of his guards bring a Cybertronian
captive to him; smirking, he starts to torture the captive, as
the guards announce that the Maximals have discovered the time
dilation of the Pit.
The leader immediately orders his troops to converge on the
last location where the Maximals were (the scene of the battle),
and then follow the path back to the heart of the Pit. He states
that the Maximals must be killed, to prevent their escape, under
the orders of Lord Tarantulas.
As the Maximals continue on, they start to discuss their plans
once they get outside. Considering the assumed state of
Cybertron, Silverbolt is unsure if they will be able to get a
ship, and Blackarachnia suggests that Velocity may know the
location of a hanger containing vehicles that may be kept
secure.
Nightscream ponders how they can hope to fight Tarantulas when
he now possesses the powers of the Beast. Silverbolt remarks
that Cataclysm would know, which Waspinator states to be a cold
thing to say. The warrior notes that he means no offence, but
they have suffered a heavy loss with Cataclysm’s death.
The path they are following has lead them to a single corridor
leading to a double-doorway. Cautiously, they trek to the end of
the corridor, and push the doors open…
[Two page spread]Beyond them is the heart of the Pit; the
leader is stood in the centre, the captive writhing in agony at
his feet. He smirks at the Maximals as they stare across at him.
The leader declares that the Maximals will be faced with death
if they attempt to leave the Pit and interfere with Lord
Tarantulas’ plans. Nightscream uses a sonic scream to send the
leader flying back, and demonic beings immediately rush in from
all sides.
As the Maximals start fighting, keeping the groggily-awakening
Velocity at the centre of their group, they quickly find
themselves once again gaining wounds without realising.
Velocity, in the same manner, regains full clarity exceedingly
quickly.
He quickly notices a switchboard on the wall off the chamber,
and transforms, rushing through the demonic beings to reach it.
Nightscream calls out for him to stop, even as he reaches the
switchboard. The officer notes that there is little hope of the
Maximals fighting their way through the entire legion.
Using the knowledge implanted in his mind, he opens up the Styx
portal, high above the Maximals; as they continue fighting,
Velocity starts to lower the portal. Demonic beings rush to take
out Velocity but are knocked out by K****h via her pyrokinetic
abilities.
The portal lowers down and the Maximals pass through it,
Nightscream giving Velocity a sad but thankful glance as they
do. The demonic beings attempt to follow, but Velocity shuts it
off, proud of himself.
The beings turn on Velocity, and he transforms into beast mode
again and prepares to fight, knowing full well how it will end.
He charges.
All the while, the Maximals find themselves on the desert
planet Taraka. The group turn to Nightscream, asking what
happens now.
So… what’s changed?
-
Cataclysm (Annihilation and off-screen during the Total
Conflict), he has also suffered two solitary deaths. The first
of these was in Transformers: Legacy season 3, where he died in
beast-mode combat with the Decepticon Skullcruncher, eventually
becoming the infamous duelling fossils of a Velociraptor and a
Protoceratops. While later restored to life by K****h in the
finale of Legacy season 6 (see Snowstorm/Paradox info in #2),
and briefly serving as leader of the Maximals in Transformers:
Reboot season 2, he was eventually converted into Horseman of
War by the Master. Dying in the finale of Reboot season 3,
Velocity was revived during the forced-Legacy in Transformers:
Ultimatum – The Keys of Audion. Still evil and managing to stay
alive, he was tracked down by Cataclysm with aid from a reformed
Sunstorm; the Seeker absorbed the evil essence from Velocity,
returning to his nefarious ways.
-
Ultimatum season 3, as the location of the Hypervelt Audion
Resonator. For much of the season, Megatron, Obsidian and Strika
(later renaming themselves Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge)
spent their time here, until the season finale brought the
Maximal/Demonika conflict to its skies. Not only did the
Maximals then use the planet as a base of operations in
Ultimatum season 4, but they soon discovered that the refined
version of the Legacy-Hunter, known simply as the Legacy, was
located deep beneath the sands. The planet, along with Earth,
T***n and Manterax, was one of four planets in the system used
by Kronos to unlock the Deltadrome Network in Cybertron’s inner
levels, and in turn track and access the planet known as
Occultus Porta.

Issue #7 – Darker Designs
Released: Tuesday 12th February 2013
Synopsis: The Horsemen are stood together in a ship, discussing
the latest developments in Tatantulas’ plans. Evidently, none of
them have much faith in his plans, nor do they trust him.
[Two page spread] We see that they are stood at a large window
– and outside are a number of smaller ships, all floating high
in Earth’s atmosphere. These are all Decepticons and Predacons
revived due to the Legacy – all recruited by Tarantulas.
Mantrax approaches them – evidently, he holds a high rank
within Tarantulas’ new army. He informs the four that Tarantulas
wishes to speak to them. Somewhat begrudgingly, the four follow
him.
As they enter Tarantulas’ chamber, they see him analysing a
projection of the Fibonacci. He informs them that the next step
in his plan is to find the ship, which he claims to be on the
planet Parallax. Vanguard enquires as to what the ship is;
Tarantulas explains that it is an ancient craft, tied into the
fabric of reality.
He notes that they shall be departing for Parallax immediately,
and expects his team to be prepared for when they land. The
Horsemen and Manterax leave his chamber, as Tarantulas broods
over a Unicron-like model.
Claws asks Nightshade his opinion of their attacks on the
Maximals. The Horseman of Death responds that they are the
enemy, and must therefore be eliminated. When Claws further
questions him on what makes the Maximals the enemy, he finds
himself struggling to respond.
Instead, he informs Claws why he joined Tarantulas – he was
informed that the Cybertron he lived on, a billion years in the
future, was soon to perish. Tarantulas saved him, in return for
servitude. Claws ponders if that kind of loyalty is worth
upholding in the face of such villainy, although Nightshade
points out her hypocrisy.
As Nightshade walks off, Claws glances at Abydos and
Vanguard, who appear to be having a similar discussion. Doubts
floating in her mind, Claws heads off to her quarters, heading
down the hallway as Decepticons and Predacons pass.
Later, the fleet approaches Parallax. A smaller ship leaves
the flagship, heading down to the planet’s surface. Passing
through valleys, it finds a suitable landing site.
The Horsemen exit, investigating their surroundings;
Nightshade notes that the Fibonacci is located not too far away,
a journey lasting only an hour or so. The four silently head out
– through much of the journey, none of them speak, trekking
through the valleys.
Eventually, Claws speaks up, asking if all of them are simply
allied with Tarantulas due to him offering them salvation.
Abydos and Vanguard both state that they went with him simply as
it would give them a new path in life, but Claws is not
convinced. She asks her fellow Horsemen if they agree with
Tarantulas’ plans.
There is an awkward silence as the four all await one another’s
answers. Eventually, Nightshade orders his team to continue on
their trek, but Claws calls him out on his lack of a response.
He snaps, telling her that his role is and always has been to
hunt Maximals. Claws asks him why.
Nightshade remarks that he worked for Megatron, who believed
the Maximals to be the antithesis of all of Cybertron’s needs.
Claws points out that Nightshade has always followed others’
orders and beliefs, and asks him what his own are. Abydos draws
a knife to Claws’ throat, ordering her to be quiet, but
Nightshade orders the Horseman of War to stand down.
He tells Claws that they will continue this discussion later,
and continues leading his team on. Abydos gives Claws a dark
look as she follows, while Vanguard sticks with the former
Other, stating that her view is valid. She thanks him, and he
adds that he is going to learn what Tarantulas’ plan is before
forming an opinion.
A little while later, the group reaches the gigantic temple in
which the Fibonacci lies. The Horsemen are somewhat taken aback,
but Nightshade has them continue on towards the temple’s
entrance.
Exploring the temple’s interior, they quickly find the access
point to the Fibonacci hangar. Only Vanguard is aware of the
Fibonacci sequence needed to access the hangar itself – firing
into the pulsar-lock in the sequence, he opens the way.
The four stare in awe at the large, glorious ship, before
Nightshade leads them inside. As they investigate, they are
astounded by the exotic designs of the bridge’s consoles. Abydos
chuckles that her pirate crew would enjoy having the Fibonacci
as a new galleon.
Nightshade asks Vanguard if he can figure out how to fly the
ship; the Horseman of Famine states that it should not take him
long, and he starts working at the console, analysing the
technology. He finally waves his hand over a phase button.
A hologram generates in the middle of the bridge, a young
feline fembot who identifies herself as a lost child of time.
She informs the Horsemen – directly, despite being a recording –
that reality is taking a different path, down a route it should
never go down, due to Tarantulas’ machinations.
She begs the team to use the Fibonacci against Tarantulas, and
stop his plans before everything is reduced to dust. Adding that
‘I’ll be here,’ the hologram vanishes. The Horsemen all share a
glance, Claws somewhat knowingly at Nightshade.
Conceding, Nightshade states that it is time that he took his
destiny into his own hands. He tells his fellow Horsemen that he
has a plan, and they agree to listen to it. All the while,
something on the Fibonacci’s console flashes.
So… what’s changed?
-
succeeded in – ending the Legacy event in Transformers: Legacy
season 1, many Cybertronians were restored to life in the
meantime. By Legacy season 2, Megatron had gathered many of the
Decepticons and Predacons resurrected as such, forming a large
army that persisted throughout the first half of the season.
Megatron’s (temporary, as ever) death in the mid-season finale
led to the army being fragmented, and was no longer a
substantial threat. However, it is notable that Mantrax, the
army’s most prominent member, appeared in the final episode of
Synergy, when time had been rewound to the point of the Legacy
event, serving under Megatron. Whether or not the tyrant had
gathered the rest of his army all over again is unknown.
-
introduced as villains before joining the Maximals.
i.
episode of Legacy season 4 quickly lead to her joining the
Maximals in episode 3, and while her Beast-possession plot was
the core of the season, she has remained loyal to the Maximals
since.
ii.
Megatron’s Acolytes, and later allied with Shockwave in Reboot
season 2. After this, he joined the Maximals in Reboot season 3;
while he, along with Abydos, operated separately from the core
Maximals through the rest of Reboot and much of Ultimatum, he
was a member of the hero faction until his death in Download
season 3. A parallel version of Nightshade, who had gone through
a similar heel-face turn, joined the Maximals in Endgame until
his death in Convergence, while the original was restored to
life as Uproar, first introduced in Clockwork season 1, who also
joined the Maximals and became a prominent member, leading them
and even co-founding the Elite Guard. Interestingly enough,
Uproar was also a Decepticon at first, in a parallel universe’s
Great War, but he was an Autobot-sympathiser from the start.
iii.
tenure as an Other in Reboot season 2, helped by the Master’s
abusive tendencies towards her. She joined the Maximals in
Reboot season 3, and has remained loyal to them through her
multiple deaths and resurrections.
iv.
first seen as a Decepticon in Reconfiguration Act I, but by the
series’ second act, it was established that he was an
anti-heroic figure, working towards just goals via
morally-questionable means. After the Maximals and Decepticons
banded together in the face of the Predacons, Vapour decided to
remain with the Maximals, as it better suited his goals, and has
since became more morally-just and a trusted Maximal.
-
Megatron aimed to utilise the ship as means of omniversal
takeover. Neither he, nor the Maximals, ended up with the ship
in their possession, until the regrouped Maximals eventually
secured it in Eternity. While it made a brief appearance in
Apocalypse in use against the united villain teams, it did not
truly reappear until Empire, in which it was used as a major
method of transportation for the Maximals, as well as Rainburst.
The ship was used in the Annihilation event in Reconfiguration,
in which Havoc, Daybreak, Swift and Sonar flew it to Fothai and
all but Daybreak sacrificed themselves to power the ship and
unlock the Infinity Chamber. Daybreak then flew the ship back to
the Maximals on Trayka, and Waspinator and Illyiara used it as
their method of transport to the Infinity Chamber (and back to
Trayka again, in Infinity’s prelude). While the ship vanished
courtesy of the second Quantum Reset into the primary Infinity
timeline, it did appear later in said timeline, in Twilight
Voyage of the Fibonacci, wherein it was piloted by Vapour
(making Vanguard’s belief that he could pilot the ship here a
fitting connection), and used to programme the specific
structure of the normal Legacies universe into the Infinity
Chamber, so as to restore said timeline when the Quantum Reset
Button was pressed. This process left the ship in ruins, as seen
at the start of Synergy. The Arcrise-initiated timeline b of the
Legacies universe (i.e. the Rise timeline) has so far not shown
whether or not the ship has been restored.
-
Legacies. After its introduction via the Fibonacci in Omniverse,
Tailturn’s awakening on Valyssia introduced the Fibonacci spiral
marking which she could use to increase or decrease any property
that she wished. Tailturn later used a gargantuan Fibonacci
spiral composed of energy to ascend to the Chandelier above the
omniverse. When Uproar was sent back to the dawn of the
omniverse in Parallel Worlds season 1, it was his duty to
coalesce some of the first quantities of matter into the planet
Occultus Porta – he did so by pulsing out the Fibonacci sequence
in energy form. The Fibonacci itself is shown to not only be run
by the sequence, but to moderate it; in Empire, Rainburst
altered the sequence to fundamentally disrupt reality, and the
ship did not work until Rainburst subsequently reworked it to
function with the new sequence. Most recently, Waspinator shared
a similar incident to Tailturn in Reconfiguration, awakening on
Valyssia with a Fibonacci spiral on his palm, although the
spiral was concealed by a perception filter and he did not
become aware of it until Synergy.
-
indicates that she is either in a phase of clarity, or she has
never received the influx of information from the Chandelier.
Furthermore, her presence as a hologram aboard the ancient
Fibonacci implies that she is somehow further back in time than
her introduction in Synergy – which is backed up by her title
for herself.
