Is Snaptrap related to his G1 incarnation in any way, and what
does he look like? Either way, he seems pretty epic. Nice seeing
what the Predacons are up too, and epic and visceral fight
       scene. All-around good chapter.

Nope. I don't really even know much about the Seacons. Snaptrap
is actually inspired by Snapper, the BW snapping turtle, who I
have the figure of. I just think Snaptrap is a better name, lul.
Looks, not 100% sure since I've not figured his TF sequence, but
as described, (chunks of) his shell become(s) a pincer-claw on
       his right hand.
Btw, it's been established in my stuff that Cybertronians can go
periods without oxygen (they can float underwater or in space
for a while), but oxygen is necessary as a specific type of
       cooling agent for their systems.
And yeah, Snaptrap is one of the new major Predacons. And,
evidently, Tidal Wave's nemesis. Medusa's lot won't be doing too
much over this season, just to keep their motives a bit
mysterious (and it'd also keep them themselves mysterious to
'new viewers', lul). And so we can roll through a whole host of
new Predacons in various manners, haha.
       A.

       Episode 5 – Let Go
       Airdate: Saturday 18th August 2012
Synopsis: Aboard the Epsilon-Zero, Prophecy is constructing
something – it appears to be a sculpture of some sort. She heads
to Howlback’s room, knocks on the door and, upon receiving no
answer, enters. The former teacher is sat at her desk; Prophecy
tells her everything will be OK soon, and places the sculpture
on the desk, before leaving. As Howlback looks at it, she
realises that it looks – albeit vaguely – like Bash. Iguanus is
working on the signal-generating machine on Ravager, when
Spinister approaches him, asking why he insists on serving
Medusa. He begrudgingly explains that they have nowhere else to
go, as Medusa saved them from being lost amidst ‘the howling
void’. Spinister notes that returning a favour means nothing to
Predacons, as Snaptrap approaches the two; he asks Spinister
what she is doing, and she lies that she is assisting Iguanus
with his work. The Maximals arrive on a planet – it has a very
smoggy atmosphere. Blizzard orders Rapticon, Waspinator,
Prophecy, Tidal Wave and Howlback out to scout the area, but
Tidal Wave suggests that Howlback stay on the ship. The leader,
however, explains that it would be better for Howlback to head
out and take her mind off of recent events; the fembot agrees,
heading out as the rest of the party follows. Ironfist asks
Blizzard if she is sure that sending Howlback out is a good
idea, but she argues that Howlback cannot keep shutting herself
       away.
Out in the smog, a small creature – somewhat lizard-like – is
scurrying around. Suddenly, it is entrapped by a mass of blades…
which turn out to be Rampage’s hand. She turns to Psychosis,
grinning as she crushes the creature in her hand, and he
applauds her. It becomes apparent that he is training her in
more psychological attacks, although the two share a mutual love
of the overly-violent. Elsewhere, the Maximals are making their
way through the smog. Prophecy approaches Tidal Wave, asking him
when he plans on confessing his feelings to Howlback. The
history teacher is shocked and confused by this remark, with
Prophecy realising that she has enquired too early. She then
pats Tidal Wave on the back and skips off, leaving him still
more confused. Rapticon notes that there are two Predacon
signals nearby… but he realises that the others are no longer
with him. Indeed, the other members of the party also realise
that they have managed to get separated in the smog. Then, the
group hear Howlback scream. The fembot has been found by
Rampage, who is attempting to eviscerate her, tormenting her
about her murder of Bash all the while. Howlback’s fear,
however, transitions into anger… she transforms, snarling, and
Rampage too transforms into a saurian, blade-scaled monster. The
two start to brawl. Waspinator and Prophecy find each other in
the smog, and Prophecy notes that Howlback is about to get
       seriously hurt.
Tidal Wave, meanwhile, is trying frantically to find
Howlback, while Psychosis taunts him just out of sight. Howlback
and Rampage continue their brawl, with Howlback sustaining more
damage than Rampage, and the insane fembot taunting her opponent
all the while, enraging Howlback still further and driving her
on. As Tidal Wave realises that he now has no idea which
direction he needs to go in, Rapticon appears and attacks
Psychosis, out of sight, urging Tidal Wave to continue on.
Without Psychosis distracting him, Tidal Wave manages to locate
the noise from Howlback and Rampage’s fight, and rushes out.
Howlback is limping now, halfway to being overwhelmed by her
damage, but Rampage continues, telling her that she plans on
murdering everyone that Howlback cares about. It is at that
moment that Tidal Wave appears; yet it is not him, but Howlback,
who makes the next move. She lunges at Rampage, transforming
painfully and slamming into blades, twisting them into the
Predacon’s own back. At that moment, reeling in pain (yet
enjoying it in her own twisted way), she receives the new signal
from Ravager, suggesting that she and Psychosis Transwarp away
when ready. She chooses to ignore the signal, and retreats into
the smog, Psychosis doing the same. Tidal Wave approaches
Howlback, grabbing her into a hug as she sobs, finally coming to
terms with Bash’s death and swearing to make sure that no one
else shares the same fate. Rapticon calls out through the smog
for the group to head back to the ship, as Tidal Wave helps
       Howlback to her feet.

Woohoo, Howlback has finally resolved her inner conflict!
Huzzah! On that note, Rampage and Psychosis are both epic
villains, and I look forward to seeing more and more of them. I
wonder if that statue Prophecy is made is someone from Legacies
who just looks like Bash, or if it intentionally looks kind of
       like Bash.

Well, not entirely, but she's stopped bottling up all her
emotions now. She's vented and is on the path to recovery,
especially now that she has a target (stop Rampage from messing
with her friends). I can move the focus more onto other
characters now, and show the more open and caring Howlback!
And yah, Psychosis has an apprentice! They're both still roaming
around, expect them to show up in more episodes.
Nope, it's just Prophecy's specialty not being in making
       sculptures. :P It's Bash.

Loving the character growth going on here, psycho Pred and

       awesome, just awesome!

       Danke!
Don't forget, Psychosis was already in Synergy, and Rampage was
intro'd in the opening ep. Just that you referred to them as if
       you didn't know them.
I wouldn't say there's LOADS of development other than Howlback.
Beyond that, it's just neat little bits. That'll shift from now,
       though.
       And yup, Prophecy rocks!

       Episode 6 – Scrapheap
       Airdate: Saturday 25th August 2012
Synopsis: Blizzard is leading Ironfist, Waspinator, Tidal Wave
and Howlback as they scrounge through a planet covered in
rusting metal. Ironfist deduces that the metal is actually
naturally-formed, with top layers rusting away and exposing
fresh layers underneath, all as new layers form far below – in
essence, the reverse of planets such as Earth. Apparently, a
Predacon signal has been detected on the planet, but with so
much metal around, tracing it is extremely difficult. Howlback
is telling Tidal Wave about the artistic value of the planet’s
surface; she seems happier than before, and when she notices
Tidal Wave smiling, she stops talking, confused. Back on the
Epsilon-Zero, Rapticon is complaining about being left behind,
while Prophecy and Arcrise explore the latter’s powers: Prophecy
lies three random cards down, asking Arcrise to name them. She
manages to do so every time, which Prophecy is intrigued by.
Arcrise, however, is a little perturbed at this, and decides to
head out too. Against Rapticon’s orders, she transforms into her
phoenix mode and flies off. A Predacon watches her fly from an
unknown location. Meanwhile, Inferno and Quickstrike are running
recon outside of Ravager, in case any new Predacons arrive. As
the two talk, it becomes apparent that neither of them is
entirely happy with Medusa’s ultimate plan – apparently, they
believe it is unbefitting of her.
With the Maximals now splitting up to cover more ground,
Ironfist is using a resonance-field analyser (effectively a
signal-sonar) to try and locate the Predacon. However, the
device fails to notice that the Predacon is actually right
beneath him – without warning, Ironfist is dragged into the
ground and constricted by the Predacon, in a monstrous
Arthropleura form. Struggling again his opponent, Ironfist
manages to use a static discharge grenade to shock the Predacon.
He then crawls back to the surface, transforming into gorilla
mode just as the Arthropleura surfaces. He announces that he is
Killipede – Ironfist laughs a little at the name – and intends
on bringing a Maximal captive with him to Medusa. The two brawl,
which Arcrise oversees from above; she swoops down, transforming
and crashing into Killipede. Damaged, he transforms too, and
starts to constrict Arcrise, who, panicked, fails to use any
power to free herself. Ironfist attacks Killipede, but only
makes it worse. Suddenly, the chains choking Arcrise are cut
loose: Blizzard has appeared. She prepares to face off with
Killipede, but he burrows under the surface; the leader orders
Ironfist to track him, while she tends to Arcrise.
Waspinator, Tidal Wave and Howlback all receive communications
from Ironfist to be alert for an attack from below. Back on the
Epsilon-Zero, Prophecy sneaks out while Rapticon is distracted
analysing the area. As the Maximals stay alert, Waspinator
suggests that the group all come together: it would leave
Killipede only one area to attack, and he would be outnumbered.
He, Tidal Wave and Howlback quickly reunite, Prophecy casually
‘rejoining’ the group too. As Ironfist rushes over to them,
warning that Killipede is right by them, the Predacon bursts
from the ground in beast mode, constricting the four. In spite
of their attempts to break free, Killipede is holding them too
tightly; Blizzard and Arcrise join the scene, but Arcrise is
still too shocked to do anything, and Blizzard’s Blazefire Saber
is unable to damage Killipede’s shell. The Predacon starts to
Transwarp away with the four Maximals, but as he does, Prophecy
generates a bubble of energy, shifting the Transwarp pattern and
landing the group aboard Fortress Maximus. With Killipede
disoriented, Prophecy uses a wall of energy to push him into a
cell and lock him in. Waspinator contacts the ship to inform
Rapticon what has happened, and Rapticon OKs it… only to notice,
much to his frustration, that Prophecy had also snuck out under
       his watch.

Oh, very nice. First, I always approve of pun names, especially
when characters call them out. Second, I'm intrigued about what
Prophecy was doing when she snuck off, it could be something
interesting, or it could just be her being Prophecy, either or
       really.
Also love how Killipede was handled, and interesting how Arcrise
just froze like that. I'm sensing some interesting plots going
       along here.

I think you're in English Lit student mode or something, cos
you're reading too much into it. XD
Prophecy sneaking off? We saw. She joined the others in the
field. She only snuck off cos Rapticon would've tried to keep
       her on the ship.
Arcrise freezing? Try being a few days old with incredible power
and then get constricted like that. :P THEN see if you can
immediately use your powers to save the day.
And yup, I love the name Killipede. Expect a few more names like
that, including one you'll be hearing over and over. ;)
... I mean, of course, Arcrise WILL be explored more. Just that,
y'know, she may have incredible power, but she's not a sage old
       goddess. ;)
