An epic episode, as usual. The fact there are dangerous Predacon
prisoners scattered all over and that Medusa wants to gather
them together seems like a pretty deadly plan. It's gonna be
tough to hunt all of them down, that's for sure. Prophecy is
epic with her quips as usual, lol. All the characters are as
epic as usual, lol. Great episode, poor Bash again.

Yup, and that's basically the set-up for this season. 'Gotta
       Catch'em All', basically, hahahaha.
Prophecy, yeah, I do love her owning the Predacon by falling
       through the floor above, paha.
Howlback's gonna go through a small arc with her methods of
       dealing with Bash's death.
       Lots of stuff upcoming!

Rise is off to a very strong start so far. Really liking the new
cast and the old(ish, new universe and all XD) and the way they
interact and the story you've got going.
Predaconemon. Catch 'em all- before they cause untold havok
       across known and unknown space!
Certainly has more impetus to it than filling out a blank
       encyclopedia doesn't it?
Sorry had to extend the Pokemon joke a bit. You know me and
       stupid jokes. ;)
In any case, I'm loving this so far.

Danke, I wanted a story that doesn't require lots of expansion
and bloating as it goes on. This allows for the ongoing stuff to
be character development, while the actual episode-by-episode
plot is simple. Allows me to really ground the characters in
before I start with big plot stuff.
Of course, you'll have to wait and see on what villains grow
into major roles, and what villains are hi-then-die!

Episode 3 – Make It, Break It
       Airdate: Saturday 4th August 2012
Synopsis: The Epsilon-Zero lands down on a rocky planet with
lots of strange tree-like formations. Aboard the ship, the
Maximals are all gathered, minus Howlback, and Blizzard halts
her briefing when she notices the absence. Tidal Wave heads off
to find her; she is in her room, depressed. He tries to take her
into a hug but she shrugs him off, before heading off to the
bridge, a concerned Tidal Wave in-tow. With the full group
gathered, Blizzard notes that there is one Predacon currently on
this planet. An advance party of Rapticon, Waspinator, Tidal
Wave and Arcrise will head out to locate and apprehend the
Predacon, with Blizzard, Ironfist and Prophecy heading out to
assist if necessary. Howlback is to stay in the ship as contact.
The advance party head out, Tidal Wave completely unsure if he
should be on this team, but Waspinator assures him that he will
learn all the best Elite Guard techniques in no time. All the
while, Prophecy attempts to strike up conversation with
       Howlback, but to no avail.
As the advance party continue on, Rapticon starts questioning
Arcrise on the full potential of her powers. While at first she
simply displays simply abilities like telekinesis and
state-shifting of matter, she soon starts digging up facts from
Rapticon’s past, much to the second-in-command’s fury. When the
fembot starts to bring up his feelings for Blizzard, he goes to
attack her, but Waspinator holds him back, warning him coldly
not to dare touch her. Arcrise seems to get nostalgic over
Waspinator defending her; as the mechs head off, she looks down
at her hand and briefly sees it as yellow skin. On the ship,
Prophecy tries to amuse Howlback, but once again has no success.
The mysterious fembot wanders off to conjure more ideas, while
Ironfist comes over to try and comfort Howlback. She notes that
she first met Bash when the school she teaches at was having a
new block added. Suddenly, something rocks the ship. Blizzard
       sneers; time for plan B.
Outside, the Predacon, Sinnertwin, is attacking the ship,
trying to coax the Maximals out. He yells that he saw the
advance party leave, and that the Maximals should have
anticipated their opponent being smart. Blizzard responds that
they did, and lunges at Sinnertwin with her Blazefire sabre. As
the two fight, Ironfist calls the advance party back. Rapticon
orders the team to turn around, and Arcrise teleports them
directly back to the ship. Sinnertwin transformers – quite
violently – into beast mode, in which he has two distinct heads.
The two conflict, leading to a vicious and uncoordinated attack
on the Maximals; Blizzard tries to coordinate the five in
response, but Rapticon goes against her command, attacking one
head and forcing Sinnertwin back into robot mode. Losing control
himself, the Maximal then proceeds to viciously assault
Sinnertwin, damaging him and forcing him into submission.
Blizzard then apprehends the Predacon, scolds Rapticon and heads
aboard the ship, as Arcrise gives Rapticon a quizzical look. On
the ship, Prophecy tells Howlback that there are big things
ahead and it all gets better very soon.

YAY I LOVE THE NAME SINNERTWIN AND HE ALSO DIDN'T DIE AND WAS
JUST ARRESTED. Also, I really feel for Howlback. Civilian thrown
in to this mess, her best friend killed right off the bat, poor
Howlback. Prophecy is as cheerful and epic as usual. Slowish
chapter, but I feel like things are just getting started! Lots
of foreshadowing and intrigue with Arcrise as usual.

Hahaha, Sinnertwin was gonna be one of four Horsemen for the
Beast back when Rise was gonna be a short season to establish
the new guys, and then a film (setting up the aforementioned
'Digimon-inspired' crew). So I decided to make use of him. Not
intending on him being a bigger villain, but I can't just jump
straight into 'they kill any Predacons they apprehend', y'know?
Yah, Howlback and Tidal Wave both, but while Tidal Wave is
trying to get on with it, Howlback's not handling it well.
Which, again, is gonna be a small arc for her.
Prophecy is always epic, yup, hahaha, and giving hints in her
       unique way.
And don't tell me you don't know what Arcrise saw, haha!
Also, note the new hint at Rapticon liking Blizzard, haha.

Nice backstory for Howlback and Bash added in, like all the
flashbacks to Cliffjumper and such in Prime. I really like it
when creators treat minor die-right-off-the-bat characters as
still just that: characters in their own right, having stories
       and personalities for them.
It makes it feel a little more real, y'know?
And heck yes Sinnertwin is an epic, epic name. :D

In all fairness, that's more to do with Howlback's arc. I'm not
referencing him because he himself had an impact, it's more
because he had a relationship with Howlback and she's not coping
with it well at all. His death is the impact, on her. I'm sure
he'll be mentioned less frequently as we go on, hahaha.
       And yup!

Episode 4 – Drowning in Despair
       Airdate: Saturday 11th August 2012
Synopsis: The team have just finished locking Sinnertwin up in
Fortress Maximus, which is now partially rebooted (in other
words, the Maximals need no longer use makeshift methods to lock
the criminals in). They prepare to head off again, Blizzard
carrying a data key of some sort; Tidal Wave asks how they can
be sure that Sinnertwin will not simply break out again, but
Ironfist points out that the prison is usually left un-occupied
anyway. The cells cannot be broken out of from the inside. Tidal
Wave reiterates that a Predacon could come and free their
comrades, but Blizzard snarks that they are not one another’s
allies… and as the Maximals pass through an energy grid as they
exit, she adds that Ironfist has installed the grid to ensure
that only Maximals can enter or exit. Elsewhere, Medusa is
awaiting the arrival of some of her new soldiers, while Inferno
and Quickstrike bicker. Iguanus comes to her, informing her that
he has amplified the signal and compressed it into a smaller
band to lessen the likelihood of the Maximals reading it. She
thanks him, before asking Spinister what she has done of use.
The spider-bot snaps back that she is adding to the armoury,
although Medusa is unimpressed. At that moment, a Predacon makes
contact: he is called Snaptrap, and although Medusa scolds that
he has no need to contact them, the new Predacon explains that
       he has a proposition.
On a moon of one of the system’s largest planets, the Maximals
explore the area. Howlback is off on her own as the others trek
through the area, painting the view. Waspinator asks Tidal Wave
how long he thinks Howlback will be depressed for, but the
history teacher is unsure, noting that he has never seen her
like this before. Ironfist questions Arcrise about her
abilities, but she does not know much about them: she simply
uses them. The weapons-expert suggests that she has unlimited
potential. As the group continue their search, something attacks
Howlback from behind – Snaptrap pulls her into the water.
Witnessing this, Tidal Wave quickly dives in after the pair and
transforms; under the water, Howlback is struggling in
Snaptrap’s grasp. Tidal Wave rams into the Predacon, but as he
lets go of Howlback, she sinks down, weights attached to her
legs. Snaptrap transforms and follows Tidal Wave down after
Howlback, trying to keep him from reaching her, and eventually
bites down hard on the Maximal’s tail, damaging it. Taking the
opportunity, Tidal Wave transforms back to robot mode and
punches Snaptrap, knocking him out. He quickly removes the
weights from Howlback’s legs and pulls her back to the surface.
Even as he passes her to the others gathered around, Snaptrap
pulls him back under the water.
Tidal Wave again tries to punch Snaptrap, but the Predacon
bites his opponent’s hand, crushing it. He then transforms,
clamping Tidal Wave in his shell-pincers and squeezing, crushing
the air out of Tidal Wave. Blizzard and Rapticon enter the water
too, and start to fight Snaptrap too, freeing Tidal Wave and
allowing him to surface to regain oxygen into his systems.
Ironfist hands him a recoil blaster, specially designed for
underwater combat; Tidal Wave submerges again, and witnesses
Blizzard and Rapticon only slightly besting Snaptrap in combat.
The history teacher fires on the Predacon, knocking him back and
giving Blizzard an opening to slash at him with her Blazefire
Saber… but at the last moment, the Predacon is Transwarped away,
smirking all the while. The trio resurface once more, Tidal Wave
dropping the blaster and rushing to Howlback’s side as she
groggily comes to. Emotionally drained, she grabs him into a
hug. Meanwhile, Snaptrap arrives on Ravager, and is greeted by
Medusa. He explains that he only managed to serve minor damage
to the Maximals, but the plan worked – he has now avoided
capture and can serve Medusa personally to delay the Maximals’
attempts to capture the other Predacons.
