London's no 1 - Tottenham Hotspur

In a surprising turn of events over the last 48 hours former
manager "Ricky McLeod" left the club to join Italian side AS
Roma and tonight the club poached "Mikey" as their new Head
Coach from Sporting CP.
The new boss was only at Sporting for a week before being swayed
to take control of a Tottenham side that just avoided relegation
last season.
The club stayed up by 2pts and had 11 defeats in 22 league
matches, ranked 7th on goals scored and 7th on goals conceded so
room for improvement for the new boss.
A meeting lasting 3 hours was held at the club as the boss met
the players, staff and Peter Harrington the Non Executive
Chairman as we have learned they have laid out plans to
transform club after such a poor season and not wanting another
relegation battle.
News coming is the club aiming for 8th - 10th place finish but
ideally 6th, develop the training and youth facilities and
further develop the squad.
Looking at the squad its looks like an elite CB is required
along with a DM and a world class striker to take the team
forward.
The club have announced that Xavi Simons will be club captain
for the season with L Bergvall named the vice captain.
We did catch with the new boss for a few comments:-
"You arrive at the club with a quick change of position?"
I felt that when Tottenham approached me it was too good an
opportunity to try and transform such a big and well supported
club.
"What will be your playing style, and tactical approach?"
Well I have created what we are calling "Tottenham Waves" so I
cannot give too much information away but the fans will enjoy
the football and we'll be playing a Tiki taka style of football.
"Will you be looking to spend big and bring in players?"
Not really, I think we have a good capable squad, but I would
like to bring in an elite centre back, a defensive midfielder
and if we can a world class striker.

Tottenham Hotspur have been busy in transfer market in last 24
hrs after appointing their new manager last night.
Its been revealed the club has agreed a deal with Italian side
Atalanta which sees Richarlison leave to join the Italian side
and defender Scalvini coming to the Tottenham stadium in the
first deal.
Deal 2 is multi deal with French side AS Monaco which sees 3
Spurs players going to France those being Dominic Solanke, James
Maddison and midfielder Bissouma with defensive midfielder
Lamine Camara coming to the Tottenham stadium.
We have learned that Tottenham have made a bid to challenge
Manchester United Board for the Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha,
it remains to be seen as to whether the League Champions would
let Cunha leave after scoring 12 goals last season and
partnering Bryan Mbeumo.
The club have stated they have their eyes on several possible
striker options should United reject their Cunha offer.

Tottenham Hotspur have announced plans to update their Training
Facilities as part of their long term goal, employing higher
rated Fitness and Technical Coaches.
Latest signing has arrived at the club from Manchester United
with Matheus Cunha meeting the fans and latest piece in manager
"MIKEY" plans for his team.
Cunha will battle with Oscar Bobb who also arrived recently and
Mohamed Kudus for the two starting forward places. Bergvall,
Simons and Wharton all had a good pres season and showing good
signs of working well together in the midfield, Lamine Camara is
a recent signing and only played 22 minutes in pre season but
will be battling for a starting place and now the team have
plenty of competition for midfield places.....
Kinsky and Vicario will be battling out for the no 1 jersey
between the posts, Scalvini has joined the club and not been
overly impressive in pre season but will battle with Porro,
Romero, Udogie for a starting spot in defense...
Unfortunately the U21s were denied a place in this season's U21
league despite building a squad of players but did not meet
requirements for facilities.
Nevertheless the boss will be looking to develop the U21s with
James Wilson and Olusesi the standout players currently...
