French side AS Monaco have landed a major coup by poaching
former Eintracht Frankfurt manager "COLINW" as their new boss
with Frankfurt just missing out on promotion on the final day.
Monaco had a tough season sitting in relegation places in the
Championship for most of the season but rallied with 2wins and 2
draws towards end of season to keep their place in the league.
Founded in 1918, the team play their home matches at the Stade
Louis II and their training center is situated in France, in La
Turbie.
Despite not being a French club, Monaco are one of the most
successful clubs in French football, having won eight league
titles, five Coupe de France trophies and one Coupe de la Ligue.
The club has also played in European football a number of times,
and were runners-up in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1992 and the
UEFA Champions League in 2004. The club's traditional colours
are red and white, and the club is known as Les Rouge et Blanc.
The new boss inherits a large underperforming squad 28 players
and likely to see a mass selling of players and bringing in new
players to give Monaco a better season and challenge for
promotion.
Balogun and Igamane did reach double figures in attack, Lamine
Camara and Hardolsson had good season in the midfield and likely
the boss will build around these players....
