ATLETICO MADRID vs FC Porto
No easy ties in last 8 of the trophy and face tough test with
Gary and Porto.
Only change recalling Marc Pubill into defense.

Atlético Madrid v FC PORTO
It's the Quarter Finals of the Manager's Trophy as we travel
over the border and north to the Spanish capital to face
Stevie's well drilled Atletico Madrid side.
Our league form has been poor so far this season; however, we
have performed well so far in this competition.
The dilemma we have now is: do we field the side that has played
the first two rounds, or do we field our strongest line-up and
bring the likes of Sainz and Mora into the fray?
Fitness could force our hand and prove an issue, so much
deliberating to do between now and Wednesday.

[center]Probably got easiest draw of quarter finals but we wont
underestimate Sociedad and need to be professional.
Happy with my team so no changes look to Zirkzee for more goals
and power us forward.

and win in the cup at Lille.
Martinez and Mazraoui come into defense, Rigg and Mainoo come
into the midfield and recall Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko to
attack.

match with another Italian club and we need win this one.
We change shape of my team and make changes, Beukema and Olivera
come into my back four.
Gilmour and Anguissa come back middle of my team.

[center]MOM: V Jaros (Ajax)[/center]
[center]Wow dont know how we won this Sociedad battered us, our
keeper Jaros made 11 saves for man of the match.
Our worst performance of the season but we got away with the win
thanks to Emre Unuvar and were into semi finals.....

Atletico Madrid 2 - 2 FC Porto AET
Atletico win 4-2 on penalties
Heartbreak for us tonight as we bow out of the Manager's Trophy,
but that's only half the story.
We had an 118th-minute Alberto Costa winner disallowed for no
reason, which would have seen us through to the semi-finals.
The game then went to penalties, and with Alberto Costa needing
to score to take it to sudden death, he tried a Panenka, which
Jan Oblak saved with ease.
There were ugly scenes at full-time as many FC Porto players had
to be pulled away from the referee, and when asked post-match
about the referee's performance, all manager Gary Goodson would
say was "He is an absolute f#cking clown".

[center]Lille OSC 1-3 MANCHESTER UNITED[/center]
[center]Lille have us a good battle the stats show very even
match that could have gone either way luckily our finishing was
good.
Lille struck first 1-0 on 5mins, Bryan Mbeumo was brought down
on 24mins by Lille keeper and converted the penalty for 1-1.
Just on halftime our 18 year wonderkid Mastantuono made it 2-1,
on 49 mins Bryan Mbeumo grabbed his 2nd and the winner with a
bicycle kick goal....
Happy with our performance and into semi finals.
