A shaman is the mouse with the
most points on the point leaderboard. They tend to shaman next
(unless a dual sham map, which means there are two shamans that
either have separate or the same holes). Shamans get various
items. Their goal is to help the mice gather cheese, and if no
mouse is left outside the hole, they can enter; this meant that
they had saved every mouse possible (due to afk mice now though,
it’s not likely they saved them all). They can also use a total
of four anchors. You can unlock more titles by being a shaman.

They're featured on Map 36, where there's a massive ball pit
that sometimes lags and double spawns (or more). Balls are

Portals are used to move
mice from place to place. They're featured on a couple vanilla
maps. Tig also added a feature where regular maps can have
portals as well, so now players can make their own portal maps!
These portals were inspired by the game series
Portal.

Conjuration is similar to
drawing with your mouse. You can make a platform using conjure,
but it won't last for very long, so you have to move fast.
Conjuration is easy to catch yourself with. Currently, on the
vanilla maps it's featured in, Conjure has a hotkey, which is 1.
You only get arrow and a spirit, even if you're hardmode. This
feature is only on vanilla maps at the

Are Anchors and Hotkeys?

Shamans get a total of four
anchors. They are: B, C, V, and N. Alternatively, you can also
use the J anchor, which is just the N anchor counter
clockwise.
B anchors can only be used on
little boards and big boards, unless you change it on your
totem. They can only be connected from the middle; there’s no
other connection point, unlike the other anchors. They’re used
to stabilize builds, so the weight of mice doesn’t make the
build topple over or lag.

B Anchor

C is an anchor that can be
connected up to three times. It’s the most stable out of the
three other anchors. This, along with V and N, must be connected
to something else, otherwise it won’t work. For example, you
can’t summon them in the air, like you can with b anchors. It
has to be connected to another item.

V is an anchor that is very
flimsy, but can be used to create paths, as shown above. Shamans
often use v anchors and build only with them to show off, as it
is very hard to do. Not many shamans can build with just
V.

N is a mechanism anchor. It can
be used to creator a catapult, along with a stairway elevator as
shown above. It’s an anchor most shamans don’t use because it’s
nearly impossible to build with (unless making a unique
build).

Once you reach 1,000 saves, you
need to relog in order to unlock hardmode. Hardmode is different
from Normal Mode in a few ways. For one, you get a totem, and
this replaces your spirit. You also cannot use b anchors. If you
choose to, you can include a b anchor in your totem, but you can
only have one.

normal mode shamans have. They also have a second

Getting to
Know Your Totem

So, let’s go back to where you
select whether or not to use hardmode. You’ll see a little
button that says “Edit Your Totem”. Click on this, and it’ll
direct you to this room:

You see the Spawn Point, how you
get a full hour to mess with your totem, and you also notice the
0/20. Totems can only consist of 20 objects in total. Each time
you add an object, it will go up. For example, if you add a
balloon, it’ll say 1/20. So, I’ll give us a basic and commonly
seen totem for an example and to use in this
tutorial.

Note how I put it as close to
the center on the spawn point as I could. If you want the totem
to spawn where you want, it’s necessary. I’ll give an example of
not placing correctly on the spawn point.

Placing Your
Totem

You have to remember your spawn
point. If you don’t remember where it is, you could mess up your
totem summon easily. If you put it in the middle, summoning it
is easy. It should spawn directly where the feather is when
summoning. Note that you can only spawn your totem
once.

So let's give an example with the
second totem I showed above.

Joe has a totem that he knows how
to summon that requires a slightly higher summon. I wouldn’t
recommend a godly totem like this because they’re hard to get a
grasp on, but once you manage to get better at hardmode, this is
an interesting totem to work with.

Stabilizing
in Hardmode

First things first. You do not
need a ton of anvils to stabilize. Anvils are not very helpful
in hardmode to be quite honest, unless they’re attached.
Something like this is very unstable and bound to
glitch:

A stabilization like this is much
better. I’d recommend no more than four anvils, otherwise it
gets glitchy.

If you’re dealing with fat mice,
I would recommend using balloons and connecting them with
arrows. This isn’t a stable build, but it makes it safer. If you
haven’t used your totem, I’d recommend using it if your build is
bending. It’s bound to lag if you don’t stabilize somewhat.

Some Map 0
Builds Without B

This is a gallery of common
hardmode builds that are pretty easy to use. Special thanks to
Joe for helping me with screenshots.

HTML http://i.imgur.com/a1T9t.png[/img]
Joe started from left to right in
this screenshot. He used a N anchor long board and connected it
flat onto the C anchor with the elevator part. This is a nice
way to do Map 0, because it resets
itself.

HTML http://i.imgur.com/YIdZY.png[/img]
This is a neat way to do Map 0.
It features making a pogostick. I've never really understood how
it works personally, and you must be in sync). You have to be
careful when summoning the vertical C board. It's hard to place
it correctly, and if you mess up, the build will not
work.

HTML http://i.imgur.com/DuJDQ.png[/img]
This is a build I used to use all
the time. I use the boxes to anchor as well as keep the boards
in place. Then, I just connect balls and make ball stairs. This
is quick and easy to do.

HTML http://i.imgur.com/ZJqRL.png[/img]
Shown before, this is another
build I personally like. I love making the elevator, but it
doesn't always reset itself, so you may have to redo the
elevator itself. The stairs tend to stay in
place.

HTML http://i.imgur.com/0e3kZ.png[/img]
This is a very basic and easy
build to do that resembles the most common seen Map 0 build with
b. This only requires having an anvil for two purposes: it helps
get rid of the issue in case some mice can't jump onto the board
and also keeps your build in place.

HTML http://i.imgur.com/BXwLz.png[/img]
This is another elevator build.
The shaman just has to spawn invisible and one visible box. It
works just fine, but some mice may have difficulty climbing onto
it.

HTML http://i.imgur.com/uLMzv.png[/img]
This is a really easy build. Just
spawn a plank and attach an N anchor plank in the
middle.

These are just a few common
hardmode builds to give you ideas of how to shaman and be
creative with it.

with V Anchor

There are some shamans that are
great with v anchor. I’ve been able to shaman a few maps
correctly. V anchor is harder to grasp because trying to build
traditionally with it often fails. I’ll give a few examples of
completed maps
HTML [URL=http://'
HTML http://cheese.formice.com/forum/useralbums/v-style-mollo-png.36051/view-image']here<br
/>in my album. Linked directly to my first successful v anchor
build, you can see how I improved with using v and how less
messy it got. If you want to learn how to shaman with v, I'd
recommend Epifistu's map for a first time
HTML ([URL=http://'
HTML http://cheese.formice.com/maps/@426398']@426398).<br
/>I did this for Epifistu's map:

Explanation on How I Shammed
This:
I used the solid boards instead
of invisible ones because I caught myself with the boxes. I was
using the solid board to walljump. It's less risky to fall,
because your animation will reset. This is also great practice
if you ever need to learn how to catch yourself properly with
shaman objects.

Shamaning with v isn't
necessarily hard to learn. You just need to get used to learning
how to anchor differently with v. Once you get the hang of it,
it gets much easier. You can see how I improved after a few maps
in my album, for example.

Room shaman is a minigame created

specifically designed to help improve your shaman skills. You
get maps with difficulty 1-10. Whisper Shambot (or the bot that
greets you) to set your difficulty. Note that setting difficulty
1-2 will not work. You must have a number between the
